Chapter 558.1

Side Story: Illuna’s Family

A while ago, our family expanded.

Riou and Sakuya.

They were both adorable, and seeing them made my heart flutter. They were my new, precious family members.

Riou exuded boundless energy at all times, and she really reminded me of my big sister Lyuu. Watching her adorable antics was so soothing that it instantly banishes any fatigue I might have.

Sakuya might be more quiet than Riou, but he’s just as adorable as Riou, and his smile sometimes made me feel like my head was going to melt.

Also, I have the impression that Sakuya was always watching people carefully. When he was playing with toys, he seemed to be happier when someone played with him rather than when he played alone, and his cuteness was off the charts.

Incidentally, I didn’t know what [Absolute Breakthrough] meant, but from the way Onii-chan (Yuki) was using it, I think it probably meant something like going over the limit of what he could do.

Yes, the cuteness of Riou and Sakuya was at a level that could not be measured. They were so cute that they were off the charts every day.

Also, with the birth of the two of them, I felt like a change happened to everyone in the family.

Especially the adults in the family.

Onii-chan was acting more like a father… and Lyuu Onee-chan had become more like a mother.

Lyuu Onee-chan used to be a bit clumsy… Well, she still was a bit clumsy, but I think she’s become even more dependable.

I think she had become much quicker to switch from feeling bad about a mistake to thinking, “Well, I’ll just work even harder next time”.

I think that Layla and Nell have also become more like mothers since Riou and Sakuya were born, but I felt that the change in Big Sister Lyuu had been even greater.

And because Lyuu Onee-chan had become so dependable, I sometimes saw Layla Onee-chan, who was especially close to her, in tears. It seemed that she was quite moved.

I was sure that the emotional changes that occur when giving birth to a child were probably much greater than I could ever imagine.

Just as there have been changes in the older generation, I think there have also been changes in Shii, Enne, and the Wraith children.

It may be because they have started going to school, but I think that the fact that they have [siblings] of their own had a stronger impact on them than that.

It seems that within the other kids, an awareness started to grow that “now that I’m an older sister, I have to act like one”.

Shii, who was always so carefree, had changed noticeably. Her fluffy words and actions hadn’t changed, but I think she had started to become more serious.

I could feel at times that she had the awareness of wanting to protect Riou and Sakuya as their older sister.

I could also sense that kind of feeling from Enne and Wraith Girls, and I think I should also try to emulate that awareness.

Although I didn’t know about changes in myself, I would be happy if I could grow up in the same way as them.
