Chapter 1911: Momentary Peace

Chapter 1911: Momentary Peace

Ten minutes later the battle was over, with Grey and Klaus easily dealing with an Eighth stage Gnome each. Klaus was a stage lower than his opponent, yet he was able to overpower him. His ice ability has grown to a shocking level that even Grey did not want to get caught in his attacks.

Grey’s opponent suffered an even worse fate, dying without being able to put up much of a fight.

On Reynolds’s end, although it took a bit longer than Grey and Klaus, he eventually killed the Gnome after a bitter battle. One has to know that compared to Grey who was an Eighth stage Sovereign, or Klaus who was in the Seventh stage, he was still in the Sixth stage and had to fight someone two stages above him. After the fight he needed some time to rest and recover from the fight since he suffered some slight injuries. The same could be said for Grey as well. He was slightly hurt when the Puppets joined the fight and distracted him.

The battle on Alice’s end took longer, and even when the others wanted to help, she told them not to. The strongest Gnome in the group she attacked was only a Sixth stage Sovereign, and the fear of three dangerous opponents watching from the side did not make them use their full strength.

The red robed Gnome was the last Gnome left alive, and the reason for this was because Grey was interested in the crystal orb in his hand that he used to take a peek at what was happening during the time Klaus and Alice were dealing with the Gnomes below the Sovereign Plane.

The Lady was more than impressed with how quickly they dealt with the Gnomes.

The red robed Gnome refused to tell Grey what he wanted and he killed him, taking the crystal orb with the plan of studying it later when he had free time.

“What now?” Reynolds asked after some time.

“There should be something important back there, we should go check it out.” Grey pointed toward the opening the Gnomes tried running to when Klaus and Alice arrived.

Walking through the opening, they passed a path that extended about two hundred meters or so before getting to an opening. There was surprisingly a small waterfall inside the mine, and beside the waterfall was what seemed to be signs of a tear in space.

“Is that?”

“Yes, a point connecting our world to theirs. Looks like they are trying to open up more portals to our world.” Grey’s expression was sour. He did not know where these weak points were and how to find them. This did not seem to be a problem for the Gnomes since they could find it.

“If they can open one here, doesn’t that mean they can open up more?”

This was a scary thought. They had always thought the points connecting the Gnome World to theirs were only in the Aurora Continent. If the Gnomes could locate weak points like this one in the Azure Continent, then they would be in serious trouble.

“We better head back and report this to my father, he and the others will know what to do.” Grey did not want to think about it too much, he did not have the strength to make the decision, nor could he locate these weak points.

The others did not have any problems with his decision, each nodding and turning to leave. Of course, Grey made sure to seal the portal, stopping it from opening any further.

He felt there should be a way the Gnomes could locate these weak points.

‘I should try to see what’s happening with that guy.’

He still had access to control of the Seventh Prince of the Gnome World, only, he could not keep control for extended periods due to the massive distance. The fact that he could even still control him across worlds is a testament of just how freakish his mental energy was. As long as he did not take control of the Seventh Prince for a long period, he would not have any problems. If he could sneak into the Gnome World again, he would not have to worry too much about how long he could keep the Seventh Prince under his control. Unfortunately, with his current strength, if he dared to pass through one of these portals, the chances of being noticed is very high.

The return to Red City was faster, after all they did not have to be cautious unlike when they were coming. The Gnomes had been wiped out and the portal they were opening had been sealed shut, so they did not have to worry about that any more.

They reported everything that happened to Grey’s father as well as the other top experts, knowing fully well the Lady who followed them would have already told them what happened since they saw her there when they got there.

They were praised for their efficient work by the experts present, and Grey received a few odd looks. He was an Elementalist with six elements, so it is normal that they would all stare at him oddly.

The young man called Lewis who the Lady was accompanying was more interested in Reynolds. An Elementalist with six elements is shocking, and so was an high grade Summoner who can merge with his Elemental Warrior. This was something unheard of, and if he could, he wanted to ask Reynolds how he managed to achieve such an unimaginable feat. No one has ever thought of the possibility of merging with their Elemental Warrior, so this was more important to him than Grey having six elements.

Reynolds’s ability can benefit the entire world of Elementalists as there were other high grade Summoners who could learn from this and further improve their strength.

He took Reynolds with him, taking him away from Red City a few minutes after they returned. Reynolds only agreed to go with him after confirming he would return shortly.
