“There will be an alliance meeting next week…” Kang Xue did not finish his words as Tang Shaoyang cut her off, “Why would we wait for another? Tell them to hold the meeting right now, and those fools from the United Alliance might have informed the three worlds of my arrival. If they don’t agree to the meeting, then tell them that we are no longer in the alliance.”
Zhang Mengyao nodded in agreement. Why would they have to wait another week? She could not accept that her people were being exploited for another week.
“But inform them in an hour or maybe two hours. We have to pull our people back to the city first. We don’t want our people outside to get ambushed by those people,” Tang Shaoyang did not see Lu An, Yu Shun, Alton, and many of his people. He guessed they were outside the city, and so it would be better to pull them back.
“What about the small and the medium factions, should we tell them to go back as well?” Kang Xue asked.
“No! Don’t tell them, at least not now,” Rosalie, who responded to Kang Xue, said “We don’t know how many people bought from The United Alliance. If the United Alliance told the three worlds, then they might start a war right now when our people are scattered. We will warn them once all our people return.”
Zhang Mengyao did not like the way they did it, but she could not take the risk. If a fight broke out, they would be the main target for sure.
“Then we need more than just one or two hours for them to escape. Let’s delay for eight hours,” Kang Xue agreed with Rosalie, “I have sent them the message, but I think one or two hours are not enough for them to reach here. The realm on each floor is larger than the previous dimensional tower.”
Tang Shaoyang stood up and was about to go out of the city to check out the new tower, but then heard a resigned mutter, “I am sorry…”
With his sharp hearing, he could tell whose voice it was. He returned back to his seat and looked straight at Zhang Mengyao. Did he blame Zhang Mengyao for missing such a trick? No, he did not. She did for the people, the safest option they had, and he took a big part in her decision to agree with the agreement.
“Don’t be sorry. That’s also partially my fault, and you make the safest decision for our people.”
“What do you mean it’s your fault? I am the one who made the decision without consulting you even though I can. This would not happen if I consulted it first before making the final decision. Don’t blame yourself for the mistake I made…” She did not finish her sentence. She was about to say that it made her feel terrible.
Tang Shaoyang shook his head, “No, I am also at fault. I have experienced many things during my God Rank’s trial and also during my administrator’s mission. I have fought many many people, many God Ranks, and I know where our position is in this big universe.”
Zhang Mengyao, Kang Xue, and Rosalie were confused as they thought it was irrelevant. They were talking about the fact that they failed to see the obvious trick in front of their eyes. Fighting a lot of people and stronger enemies was irrelevant. However, they did not interrupt their husband because they knew their husband was not that good at explaining.
“Our mindset is different. When you made the decision, your mindset was that we were the weaker side. That was why when they proposed the share, you agreed to it without that much rejection. You thought that we were weaker than them, so you accepted it because their offer did not bring harm to us. Wasn’t that why you agreed to their proposal?”
Zhang Mengyao was surprised that her husband could read her mind. That was what she exactly thought. If she agreed to the share, then the alliance was formed. If she did not agree to it, the meeting might continue for longer, and she was afraid that the three worlds would find that the Earth Alliance was weaker than them. She was afraid that they might give them an unfavorable share.
“However, I have a different mindset. I have experienced many things, I have fought a lot of God Ranks, and I have defeated a lot of them. I believe we are stronger than them. For a faction that is as strong as us, an equal split doesn’t make sense. We can get more by ourselves, so why would we split it? That’s why I can see through the obvious trick.”
Zhang Mengyao understood what Tang Shaoyang tried to say, but it was still irrelevant to what happened. She still could not see how it was her husband’s fault, and at this point, she understood that her husband was comforting him by taking half of the blame.
“Where’s my fault? Because I haven’t shown you what your husband is capable of. I have only told you, but I haven’t shown you anything that will change your mindset. If you know fully how strong I am, then you will think differently,” Tang Shaoyang added. That was his fault, if they knew how strong he was, then they would make a bold decision because they knew The Emperor could resolve the problem that would come for them.
“Or maybe you should look something strong and watch how strong Ophelius and Ophelia are. You are pampering them because they are children, but don’t be mistaken. They are not normal children, they are Demonic Calamity Dragons. A combination of demon, calamity, and demon. I don’t think Hemlin, Forlan, and Lunea can defeat one of them if they fight.”
He had told him about his fight against the God Ranks, the administrator, and even The Emperor from the Void Cult. The three women did not show that much reaction aside from being worried about his safety. People looked at him as if he was a monster by the Junior and Senior Administrator. He was hailed as a hero after killing The Emperor. Some alliances looked at him as if he was a big threat that they thought they needed to get rid of him.
However, Zhang Mengyao lacks understanding of how fearful the names he mentioned in the story were. Even though he explained how fearful the Void Cult was, they never met someone who was genuinely afraid of the Void Cult. Even though he explained how nasty the God Order was, they never met the people who were afraid of the God Order. They lacked the awareness of how fearful and strong the people he killed were.
“That’s true, it’s your fault then. If we know you are one of the top dogs in the God Realm, then there’s no reason for us to be afraid of these three worlds,” Rosalie immediately agreed and blamed Tang Shaoyang.
“We don’t need to be afraid of them, but we still need to be careful,” Kang Xue added.

The United Sovereign Base
Herman was sitting behind the table, covering his face with his palm. Frustration and anger were building up inside him, and he did not know how to get rid of these emotions. He knew it would be hard for him to think clearly when he was in this state.
Herman was angry with the lack of respect that Tang Shaoyang showed him during the meeting. He thought they had become closer so that Tang Shaoyang would not slap his face in front of the other factions. The Emperor should give him some face and talk their disagreement alone when there was no one.
That was where his frustration came from. There was nothing he could do no matter how angry he was. There was nothing he could do no matter what The Emperor did to him. He was frustrated with how helpless he was because he did not have the power to stand equal with The Emperor, and he was aware of that.
He once again thought that he was catching up with The Emperor. He believed that The Emperor would soon face a bottleneck and slow down. But it did not happen as he could see The Emperor was getting stronger every time they met.
His instinct told him that The Emperor could snap his neck in seconds. The fear kept growing, his guts told him to never fight The Emperor. His sharp instinct which had saved him in many instances told him that The Emperor was not someone he could fight even though the last time he saw The Emperor fighting was a long time ago.
Herman was afraid of The Emperor’s power, but what happened today was a wake-up call for him that an equal alliance could never be formed between the two. He must think of another way to keep up with The Tang Empire.
“I think it’s time for us to unite with the other alliances to contain The Tang Empire, Sir.”
Herman looked up and remembered Frans was with him. His sole Advisor who helped him to establish the new nation, “What do you mean? Have you forgotten what happened to the World Union even when they united all factions to fight them? They have become even stronger now, and no one could beat the six God Ranks they have even though we throw everything we have at them.”
Frans shook his head, “We unite not to fight the Tang Empire, Sir. We unite to contend with them. They might have the God Ranks, but it will just matter of time until we have the God Ranks too. If we unite as an alliance, then it will be just a matter of time until we have more God Ranks than them, Sir.”
“The Tang Empire doesn’t have an interest in taking over the world, and we will use their lack of ambition to catch up or even overpower them. That’s the only way for us to stand equal with the Tang Empire, we can’t work by ourselves, we need an equal ally that respects us, or else The Empire will keep treating us like…” Frans did not finish his words as he kept shaking his head.
