Death... and me

Chapter 3317: Come in Handy

Chapter 3317: Come in Handy

Kentucky got close and pulled the girl up, even though she was still asleep. He still could feel her cultivation. "How is she in the Transition Realm if she was never awake?"

"The same way pretty much any Demon Plant cultivates," Rean shrugged. "Don't forget. Most Demon Plants cultivate naturally without anyone's help, let alone a Divine Demon Tree. Thousands of years stationary in the same place where no one would dare to touch her only contributed to her slow but steady progress to this realm. It is not a bad thing, actually. I can see that her foundation is really strong and stable. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise to her future."

"I see..." Kentucky nodded. "Well, can you wake her up?"

"I can try," Rean nodded, pressing his finger on the girl's forehead. A stream of Light Element entered her soul. Rean wasn't sure he could wake her up because her soul had already grown to take its sleeping state as its norm.

Rean continued to circulate his Light Element, but it didn't seem like he would succeed. In the end, his Light Element changed, his Sky Energy took action, and a spark of Red Lightning appeared. It was a very clear and bright Red Lightning, full of Light Element.

*Bzzz!*

*Ugh!*

For a moment, the girl felt a huge pain in her head, but there was no injury left behind by Rean's actions. The Light Element made sure it wouldn't cause any lasting effects. Yet, that was enough to finally make her soul move. Rean watched with his Divine Sense as her soul finally changed from its dormant state, waking up for the first time.

"Alright, she should wake up now," Rean commented. Right after, he turned around, preparing to leave. "By the way, she is your problem, not mine."

*Zush!*

Before Kentucky could ask what Rean meant, Rean already disappeared, leaving the Minokawa puzzled. "What was wrong with him?" He looked behind as well, just to see that Rifindio was also gone. For some reason, both Rean and Rifindio seemed afraid of being there when she awakes. "Could it be she can be dangerous?" Kentucky couldn't help but wonder, raising his guard, even though he knew nothing could possibly happen in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm with Sister Orb there.

Finally, the girl opened her bright eyes, looking confused for a moment.

"Hey, there you are! How do you feel, seeing the light of the day... Well, there is no light of the day in this place, but it is still very bright. Do you like it?" Kentucky tried to be as friendly as possible. Yet...

*Buaaaaaaaaaaaaa!*

In the next instant, the girl began to cry... a lot!

"Eh?!" Kentucky was taken aback. "Calm down, calm down! You are fine! No one will do anything to you here!"

Yet, she continued to cry nonstop, much to Kentucky's confusion. Then, it finally came down to him. "Fuck! That's right! She has never been awake before. She is truly, truly nothing more than a just-born infant! She doesn't understand a single word I'm saying!"

Looking in the direction Rean and Rifindio disappeared, Kentucky felt like cursing to no end. Those two understood this, and that's why they fled ahead of time. None of them had any intention of taking care of a baby. "Err... what to do, what to do...? I've never taken care of a baby before."

*Shiiiii....*

Then, out of nowhere, as she cried, Kentucky began to feel some warmth on his body as he held the girl. She was peeing on him! "Oh, for fuck's sake!"

*Buaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!*

His anger scared the girl even more, and even more, she cried.

"Ah! Sorry, sorry!" Kentucky was completely lost. He definitely wouldn't gain the Father of the Year's prize anytime soon. "Right! Sister Orb! Help me!"

Yet, only a message reached Kentucky's mind.

[The system is going through maintenance, and the sentience known as Sister Orb is currently unavailable. Please try again later... preferably next year. Actually, five years would be best.] "Your ass! Do you take me for a fool?! You obviously want to skip the years she would cry the most!" Kentucky almost exploded in anger... and that made the girl cry even more... again... "Ahhh! Sorry, I didn't mean it. Why the hell am I even apologizing? She can't understand anything!"

And so, the 'new father' Kentucky had his first taste of what it would be to raise a family in the future. Let's just say he better not try it for real for the time being.

Around an hour later, on another side of the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, Roan had his eyes closed, focusing on studying a few things about Alchemy. He usually didn't care about what happened around, but this time, his eyes were forced open. "What is that idiot doing?"

*Zush!*

He immediately disappeared, quickly reappearing in another place in the Dimensional Realm. It was his Herb Garden, in which he kept all the Spiritual Liquid in a pond and the herbs surrounding it. Without Celis to take care of the plants, Roan had to do it himself, and he really put a lot of effort into giving the plants the best treatment. He even enjoyed a little when he had to come to the garden to tend to his plants. Perhaps one could say Roan had gardening as his only hobby.

Right now, however, he didn't seem very happy. Instead, he was feeling like giving a certain fat bird a beating. "What do you think you are doing in my garden? Are you looking to die?" Kentucky, who seemed slightly relieved, turned to Roan. "Sorry, I truly had no other choice." Roan looked past Kentucky and saw a small tree now standing right in the middle of his garden. It's just that it was truly poorly placed, and some of the plants were even pulled out. However, looking at the small tree, Roan seemed surprised for a moment. "So you found a Divine Parasol Tree, uh? That might come in handy."
