Chapter 3358 Unknown Language
'Master,' Zangeshu's voice in Rean's mind from the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. 'These floating runes coming out from the Starlight Crystal. Since they were inside the crystal before, sure they can touch it, don't you think?'
Rean's eyes lit up, and he laughed. "Hahaha! That's right. Let's see if I can get a hold of some of them."
Rean didn't try to grab the floating runes with his hands directly again, though. Instead, he controlled his own Stellar Energy and covered his hand with it. Finally, he carefully tried to grab one of the floating runes.
"Now, that's more like it!" Rean was happy that the method worked. The rune was now there, being held by him. As it was so close to his body, he was able to also send his Divine Sense inside to analyze it. "Starlight Natural Runes... quite marvelous. It is so frail, and yet, it can conduct so much Starlight Energy at once. Perhaps I can use the Divine Sense Circuitry Runes to make a variation of this Starlight Rune. Let's try something very simple..."
Rean brought a few materials out, and through the injection of Starlight Energy, he was able to integrate that floating rune into a Divine Sense Rune he had made before. It wasn't a functional rune, though. It had no purpose, and you could say even its existence was meaningless.
However, it was perfect for this moment. Rean drove his Divine Energy inside, and the rune activated. The Starlight Energy added to the Divine Sense Circuitry Rune made sure to keep the Starlight Rune intact. In that manner, Rean acquired a Rune that could be manipulated without him having to be careful.
"Hehe!" Rean's eyes lit up, and he glanced at the crystal once again. "Sister Orb, open the Spatial Tunnel to the Dimensional Realm."
[Alright!]
Immediately the Spatial Aperture appeared by the crystal's side. In the next second, Rean attached that rune to another divine metal rod, quickly swinging it like a baseball bat again. "Let's see if you can destroy your own rune. Three, two, one..."
*Bang!*
Using the Starlight Energy Rune to cover the existence of the divine metal, Rean swang it against the crystal, which did not shoot its laser against it again. The crystal, whether it wanted or not, shot like a comet into the aperture, leading to the Dimensional Realm. "HOME RUN! Who said simple methods aren't efficient?"
As soon as the crystal reached the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, it charged with energy and began to shoot those same rays of Starlight Energy everywhere... or so it tried.
[Good attempt, but not under my watch!] Sister Orb was prepared, though.
The Starlight Energy that the crystal concentrated immediately dissipated, spreading evenly in the crystal itself, just like it was initially. The crystal, seemingly programmed to shoot anything abnormal in its range, tried countless times to gather the Starlight Energy inside itself, but it ultimately failed. Now, it could only wait there until the twins decided to use the pure Starlight Energy inside it to cultivate later.
Zangeshu quickly approached the crystal, looking at the runes that still took form inside it with excitement. "Sister Orbg, don't let it shoot anything but don't stop the runes from coming out. I want to work on them."
Outside, Rean faintly smiled and left it for Zangeshu to play with. That wasn't the time for him to pay attention to that anyway.
With the crystal gone, the floating runes began to disappear one after another, as if the crystal's existence was also what kept them intact. Rean didn't have time to watch it, though. The white fog once again concentrated around Rean, and he disappeared from that room.
'Second Challenge Complete.'

Outside, Herbert and Zantie argued for a while, but they finally saw nothing would change like that. In the end, Herbert left Zantie to think whatever he wanted and returned to his group side. At the same time, he pretended to try to find a way to enter the amphora again, obviously 'failing' to disappear as Rean did.
However, Herbert didn't have a connection with Rean, and it didn't seem like he could contact Rean through his VS device. So, he could only hope Rean was truly being tested by the trial, as mentioned in the records of his clan.
Roan touched his shoulder, using his Divine Sense to speak to Herbert. 'What did you and Zantie decide?'
Herbert shook his head. 'Nothing. He is right on the other side of the amphora, also trying to see how Fred disappeared. His attention is fully focused on us, though. Well, that's to be expected. I would also be doubtful of myself in his shoes. The only question is whether Fred is still alive or not.'
'Don't worry, he is alive, and he is going through the trial,' Roan decided to give that little bit of information to Herbert.
Naturally, Herbert was surprised to hear that. 'How do you know?'
Roan didn't answer, of course. 'That is something between him and me. All I can tell is that he is fine and that he just finished the second trial. He asked me to tell you that you were right. The trials demand a lot of one's knowledge about formations.'
Herbert was curious about Roan and Rean's method of communication, but he didn't insist on knowing the answer. He was more than happy enough to hear that his clan records were correct and, especially, that Rean completed two trials. 'Tell Fred he is doing great! I'm not sure how many trials are there, but I believe he can overcome everything. If he has any doubts about formations, just ask me, and I will help however I can.'
Roan nodded. 'In fact, that's why I told you about it. Fred is asking for some help with the third trial that has just started. Here's the problem...'
Inside the amphora, Rean was staring at a giant obelisk. Behind it was a door, which Rean simply couldn't approach, From the looks of it, he had to do something to the obelisk itself. There were a few instructions on the bottom of the obelisk. Unfortunately... Rean couldn't understand shit! 'I hope Herbert knows this language...'
