Chapter 4312 Evelynn's Glorious Return
Davis and Sophie waited near the edge of the Whispering Wildlands Lower Realm.
They saw a flying ship finally zoom in from the distance. Like two bandits, they soared into the sky and Davis reached out his hand, grayish-purple energy flowing out of his palm as it encompassed the space quickly. He used his spatial energy to make the space muddy, causing the ship's speed to drop significantly.
It was as though the flying ship was caught in a web, coming to a halt.
"Davis-"
A melodious yet sexy voice resounded from the flying ship, and a figure jumped out. "Evelynn! You're back!"
Davis moved faster than he could be seen, startling Evelynn. Before she realized it, he was already behind her, wrapping his arm around her waist. She giggled in his embrace, turning to look at him as their gazes matched. Instantly, they could tell how much they longed for each other, causing them to kiss gently.
"Welcome back, big sister! Welcome back, Myria and Tia. Katherine, you too."
Sophie rushed past Evelynn and Davis before she appeared on the flying ship. She went ahead and hugged Myria, causing her to smile.
Finally, Davis also arrived with Evelynn as they landed on the flying ship. He let go of Evelynn's hand, rushed towards Myria, and hugged her.
"I know nothing untoward will happen with you there. Glad you're all safe and sound." Myria also deeply hugged him back, simply basking in his warmth. She didn't want to say it but she missed this more than she expected. He kissed her cheek and turned to look at Tia.
"Come here, little aunt."
"Hehe~ No~"
Tia ran behind Sophie and peeked out, "You bad big brother. I sense you have set your sights on me now."
"Oh? How did you find out?"
Davis raised his brows.
He really did think he had put off making love with Tia for a long time, so he was thinking of finally embracing her, but she saw through him.
"I know how you move~"
Tia giggled and hid behind Sophie again.
Sophie smilingly shook her head, "She's just too shy to kiss in front of everyone."
"Ah, elder sister Sophie. You can't be exposing me like this~"
Tia hugged Sophie from behind and bit into her shoulder, causing Sophie to squeal. "You naughty little aunt-"
She turned around and pulled on Tia's cheeks with a big smile on her face. She was also glad that everyone could safely return.
Davis heaved a breath full of relief before he turned to look at Evelynn.
"Why didn't you all come through Stella's mini realm and instead use the flying ship to travel all the way? Let me add by saying that due to that, Stella was able to do some adventure as she moved across realms and scared many realms that they were not out of reach for the Divine Emperor of Death. However, I prefer if you followed the safe route instead of traversing the long route."
Evelynn and Myria turned to look at each other, smiling.
It was as though they knew he would ask.
"It's because we don't want to expose our hideout to whatever it is out there that may be able to trace a certain treasure back."
Tia jumped out to the side and rubbed her nose. She got to know later, but even she was shocked by what they had found.
"We need your input on this matter very badly." She added.
Davis turned to look at them, blinking.
What would be so interesting in the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan that they needed his input?
"Does this concern the true reason behind the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan's fall?"
"Yes-" Evelynn replied. She took over as she stepped forward. She put up a sound barrier, so Davis also did the same.
Still, Evelynn was extra cautious. She explained through soul transmission, causing Davis's eyes to widen and his pupils to dilate.
"No... no way..."
Davis could not believe the luck his first wife possessed. She went to save the hex arachnid clan but returned with the Hell Poison Gem's forged treasure? Is there such a lucky thing in the world?
However, he quickly didn't think so since this came with offending a Greater Realm.
"The Nine-Headed Hydra Galaxy huh..."
Davis could finally understand why they didn't bother to use Stella's mini-realm, afraid that they might leave a trace.
"That's right." Evelyn nodded, "This matter couldn't be brushed off, and I don't think taking it to our mini-realm is a good idea. Too much is unknown about this treasure. It could accidentally go off. I'm definitely not keeping it in a place where our children live. We need to make a decision whether to keep-"
Davis interjected, "Or hand it over to the Celestial Transcendent in exchange for massive benefits?"
"..." Evelynn and Myria nodded.
They were glad he was always fast on the uptake.
Davis felt a big headache coming. One, he thought he could relax after proving he was the strongest after killing the Venerable Knights. But it turns out another threat could descend, one even greater than the Venerable Knights.
However, was that even possible?
The Celestial Transcendent surely wouldn't sit back and let other galaxy invaders enter their galaxy.
Regardless, he didn't blame Evelynn and the others since this treasure might also prove to be useful depending on how it is used. A poison treasure like this was no different than a nuclear radiation missile in mortal terms. It was better to have it and flex it than use it.
"Bring that guy out."
Davis commanded. Myria brought out the Six-Headed Hydra's soul from her life ring. He was sealed by a lot of spirit formation runes as well as still suffering from hex poison.
"Arghhhhhhhhh!"
Once he appeared out, his pained voice shrieked across the region but was still contained by the sound barrier.
Davis clicked his tongue in annoyance at the loud sound. He grabbed the soul with his
bare hands and roared.
"Shut the fuck up!"
"Ahhh! Divine Emperor of Death!!!"
The Six-Headed Hydra sounded as though he shit his pants as he screamed and hurriedly shut his mouth, enduring the pain. He was about to scream at the two ladies for not releasing him, but he was totally dumbfounded to see the Divine Emperor of Death.
If he still had the confidence that he could leave, then he had none now.
If it weren't for the lack of confidence in facing the Divine Emperor of Death after coming to know that he also possessed a forged treasure that could actually be used in this layer, he wouldn't have waited for Evelynn to return to the clan and headed straight for her.
"Speak. In this galaxy, who and all know about this matter other than you?"
His Enigmatic Heart Laws were on full throttle.
The Six-Headed Hydra's soul shook. He knew that the Divine Emperor of Death possessed Heart Intent, so he knew he couldn't lie or suffer even more torture. They definitely wouldn't let him die even if he wanted to, making his heart sink.
"Will I get to die quickly?"
He didn't even negotiate for a release, knowing he was screwed beyond compare.
"Depends on how useful you are."
Davis said, but he saw Evelynn shake her head lightly from the corner of his eyes. He then saw a being whose identity he respected come out of the cabin. He did sense her and learned of her existence when Evelynn explained about what happened but to think she was really alive again.
He really didn't think he would see Empress Hexena Xylusc again.
Nonetheless, he returned his gaze, continuing with the interrogation. The Six-Headed Hydra finally voiced out, "No one. This is done in absolute secrecy. Otherwise, they would get strange ideas about the treasure."
"Even Ancestor Morten of the Pyraxis Ember Arachnid Clan didn't know of it?"
"No. I never said anything to anyone, not even to the Realm Master or the Ancestors of the Six-Headed Hydra's Hexadra Clan. I used them for my own gain by offering them incentives to hunt down a lot of Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnids by supporting the Pyraxis Ember Arachnid Clan. They were more than happy to support my cause without knowing the reason because they're like that. Even the hydras of our galaxy have more dignity and self-respect than them. They're all bandits. No wonder they were kicked out of our galaxy. Damned traitors..."
The Six-Headed Hydra's voice was full of condescending tone, and Davis couldn't detect any falsehood in that.
This hydra really did use the Hexadra Clan to his advantage and probably vice versa. Neither cared about the other, so they could probably cut off each other without having to take responsibility when found out.
Indeed, the Six-Headed Hydra was telling the truth.
He couldn't get caught by the authorities since his name wasn't in the Six-Headed
Hydra Lower Realm Hexadra Clan's registry, although he did disguise himself as one of their people who had died millions of years ago. The Hexadra Clan 'bought' his disguised identity and treated him accordingly so they could cut him off when he was found out by the authorities.
It was a win-win relationship purely made up of benefits, and as a galaxy traveler who used dimensional pathways, he had a lot of resources that couldn't be found in this galaxy to share.
Davis considered his words for a few moments as he went silent.
Evelynn and the others, even the Azure Tree Realm Master, erased all traces of the battle that happened. Of course, the higher-ups of the Pyraxis Ember Arachnid Clan had died, and this may invoke major questions, but it could be merely chalked up to the fact that the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan managed to take revenge. No one should know about the Hell Poison Gem's forged treasure.
Even the Heavenly Blight. Hall didn't know of it.
They caught Evelynn coming out in a flying boat out of the Azure Tree Lower Realm, so he had been worried and told them to follow her all the way until here, but other than that, they had no idea as to where even the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan was even located.
There should be no problem. He felt like the presence of the forged treasure could be concealed altogether.
This meant the only problem left was the retaliation from the Nine-Headed Hydra
Galaxy. Excluding that Young Master, if the Greater Realm's Realm Master, the apex being of the Nine-Headed Hydra Galaxy, came here looking for the poison treasure and demanded the Celestial Transcendent that he finds out what happened or they would war on the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy or increase the war efforts if they were already in war, then he knew they would be found out sooner or later.
Davis knew he and his family would be caught in a bind again. Hence, this matter was entirely troublesome, no matter their decision. He couldn't help but look at Empress Hexena Xylusc.
