Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4406: Forcing An Ancestor To Fight

Chapter 4406: Forcing An Ancestor To Fight

"Ugh… I think this is a mistake…"

Ancestor Dian Alstreim spoke lightly as he wryly smiled while gazing at Davis.

"Pfft~"

Evan Cauldon, Mark Ruth, Louis Ashton, Agis Stirlander, and Igor Stirlander couldn't help but nearly burst out laughing. Even Founder Alstreim Windstorm looked as though he was going to jump into a hole and burst out laughing when no one was looking.

"No, I really called out for you. Please come over to the stage and widen our horizons, Ancestor." Davis stood up and cupped his hands, bowing.

"…"

Ancestor Dian Alstreim's brows twitched.

This brat- he was a total bully!

How was he supposed to fare against supreme geniuses? He didn't have much prowess, knowing that he would fare worse than Ernest Loret did. He didn't have a Spirit Attribute Source at that level to aid his Fire Law quality either, so he was stuck until he could get higher-grade resources.

Having no choice, Ancestor Dian Alstreim moved to the battle stage.

He said nothing and waited for his opponent, and it had the intended effect he wished for.

The crowd totally misunderstood that he was powerful. The laughter from his buddies also made them feel like he was going to roast them alive.

"If- if he is truly the Ancestor of the Alstreim Family, then he would be incredibly powerful…"

"Considering the Divine Emperor of Death still calls him Ancestor and respects him, it is very likely that he is capable of suppressing every supreme genius…"

"The Ancestor looks rather embarrassed… He totally doesn't want to fight someone who isn't his age…!"

Hushed voices traversed across the seating area.

No one wanted to fight him. After an entire minute, Davis frowned, "If no one is going to send out a young genius in the next thirty seconds, then I'm not going to like it."

His words instantly created a bit of rush and panic in the eyes of the Realm Masters.

They talked amongst themselves, forcing or cajoling a power that didn't want to send their young genius to the stage to fight because they disliked mingling with an Anarchic Divergent.

When there were only three seconds left, a power decided to send one of their young geniuses to the battle stage.

It was from the Vigilant Stormbreaker Lower Realm. They had ties to the Stormsong Family of the Thundering Serenity Upper Realm, and they had strict orders not to entertain the Divine Emperor of Death in any way. Therefore, they just sent their weakest young genius, who was still a supreme genius whose a Heavenly Monarch, whose prowess is seven levels higher.

It was a teenager who was fourteen years old. Moreover, she was a girl.

"…"

Ancestor Dian Alstreim's expression was grim.

"…!" His charming yet terrifying expression caused the young genius to be scared.

It could be seen that this Ancestor might've taken serious offense.

"P-Please go easy on me."

The little girl cupped her hands, lightning sparking across her figure, but it was incredibly unstable. It could be seen that she was scared a lot.

'I see… their aim is to embarrass Ancestor Dian Alstreim and then embarrass me indirectly…'

Davis inwardly laughed. After all, to take things seriously against a little girl or harm her, that would be considered evil. And to pit an old man to beat up a little girl, that would just be adding oil to the fire. They will have more bullets to shoot at him.

He cast a look at the Vigilant Stormbreaker Realm Master, but the other party already had its head low.

Still, the Vigilant Stormbreaker Realm Master could sense the heavy gaze, causing his soul to shudder..

"To be a Monarch at such a young age, I see you're a born transcendent."

Ancestor Dian Alstreim finally opened his mouth.

"Yes…!~" She squeaked.

"Then let's start." Ancestor Dian Alstreim nodded.

The little girl looked as though she was going to cry.

Ancestor Dian Alstreim could only imagine who this girl offended in her power for them to make things difficult for her. Perhaps it was her parents. Either way, his eyes widened as an invisible forcefield erupted.

"Turn around and return to your seat."

The little girl relaxed completely. She nodded and then turned around to return, flying across the surface of the battle stage and hovering over to the edge before passing through the barrier, after which she returned to her seat.

The entire palace was eerily silent.

They stared at her in disbelief. Many didn't understand what had happened. However, the Realm Masters' eyes were wide as though they were spooked. They knew what Ancestor Dian Alstreim had just used.

Only after a few seconds did the little girl blink and yell out in shock.

"What am I doing here!?~" She screamed, her cheeks blushing heavily.

Could it be that she had fainted and was carried back? She couldn't understand heads or tails.

"Enigmatic Heart Laws— State of Control…"

Grand Elder Terronoir Heavenshade uttered as he sucked in a cold breath.

An old Ancestor of the Alstreim Family had reached such a level?

Even Davis looked surprised as he didn't expect Ancestor Dian Alstreim to be hiding that he had improved his comprehension of Enigmatic Heart Laws to Level Two Obscure Intent. That was the same level he and Mingzhi reached.

However, considering Ancestor Dian Alstreim's comprehension was stuck in the previous level for so long, he could understand the improvement.

Regardless, even then-

"What's wrong? The girl forfeited. Is there no one else who will dare to face me?"

Ancestor Dian Alstreim raised his hand and looked at his palm as though he were unbeatable.

It made many expressions churn, but they dared not send their young geniuses to such a monster. They guessed he was comparable to Charles Dawnbreaker from the Virtuous Dawn Upper Realm.

It must be known that State of Control, which means comprehension of Level Two Obscure Intent, was equal to comprehending a Law that was graded at Mid-Tier or even High-Tier Supreme Law, so Enigmatic Heart Laws at this level made the users incredibly powerful, capable of manipulating hearts and minds.

They could break the Will of geniuses easily, so they were not to be trifled with.

In the end, two more powers from irrelevant Minor Realms forfeited the chance, which they were probably given compensation for secretly. It allowed Ancestor Dian Alstreim to win.

Davis was speechless.

He was going to make this battle a tough one as he did expect Ancestor Dian Alstreim to win the end with grievous injuries, but he didn't expect to end like this. Nonetheless, as promised, the reward was given, making Ancestor Dian Alstreim joyful from head to toe, but he acted like he was cool.

"Hmph! For a powerful old man like you to participate and face young geniuses with your Laws that you spent so much time comprehending, aren't you ashamed!?"

Someone from the crowd burst out.

It seemed to be the little girl's cousin brother.

Ancestor Dian Alstreim looked at them, opening his mouth.

"Insolent." However, Davis interrupted, causing that young man to feel an incredible chill descending on him.

"Ancestor Dian Alstreim's prowess was six levels higher, and it increased to seven levels higher with the usage of Enigmatic Heart Laws. Any one of you could've taken him on and won, but you all let your fear of a Supreme Law overwhelm you."

"…"
