Benladra celebrated happily as she saw Surtr finally defeat the Venerable. He not only overwhelmed him but as he fought against him, Surtr rapidly adapted and learned of his own new abilities. Although he seemed slightly clumsy at the beginning, his overwhelming strength made it possible for him to reach the end of this battle, and end in his triumph.

"T-That was amazing... That boy obtained such tremendous power! But what with his Ascendancy Law Ring? It's strange..."

Benladann couldn't help but think that what Surtr had become was indeed quite bizarre. The powers the young fire dragon had gained belonged to not only his own strength evolved, but the power of thousands of fire dragon divine souls.

These divine souls were already pretty powerful on their own, and Surtr could summon around a dozen of them to help him out in his battles and more... However, what he did went even beyond that.

"If I'm not wrong, Surtr... He... His Ascendancy Law was formed so quickly because all of the Fire Dragon Divine Souls merged into that Ascendancy Law."

Miranda spoke while looking at the Venerable slowly disappearing, her eyes filled with disbelief. She had seen at firsthand what happened and was still processing it even now.

All of them had thought that Drake would be the only Venerable that was a Divine Dragon, but they ended realizing that Surtr had such potential as well.

Because Surtr was born as a Mortal Dragon due to his weakened state as an egg that stayed for too long fossilized, most of the innate divine power dragons were born with was gone, eaten away by the continent's energies.

So, just like Drake, Surtr had to walk through the path of ascension as a small, mortal dragon for several years, battling and surviving using his draconic powers which developed over time, and the Unique skills he was born with, created from his last wishes when he died in his previous life.

Among Surtr's greatest abilities, his Heavenly Smith was among the strongest, giving him the power to create anything he wanted as long as he had the materials to make it. Potions, Weapons, Magic Books, Armor, and even technology, anything he could imagine as long as he had materials.

With this miraculous power, which was quite literally as if he was playing some crafting game in real life, Surtr helped the Fire Giant Village fend off against the many wild threats that threatened their lives, such as monsters, mostly monsters. And well, eventually the Chaos Spirits he fought when he and Drake finally met.

However, unlike Drake, Surtr didn't had as much power even with all his training, potential, and abilities, even less the necessary resources that Drake had gathered for so long for a proper ascension.

Indeed, without the help of his whole family, he would have most likely died in the middle of his ascension into a venerable.

Not like he would've done it if that were the case, as Surtr was forced by his own family to take this decision, a decision that brought him to this level.

However, it was at a very high cost.

"Are the Red Dragon Souls even alive now? It is as if they sacrificed to let him ascend, all so he could survive and protect the continent and well, all of us," said Yuki, gripping her fists. "Dammit... If we were stronger nothing of this would've happened."

"We've been training and gaining new power and abilities all this time, and yet, the difference between us and these monsters was like heaven and earth..." Pekora said. "I suppose at the end, only a few with the talent and potential can truly reach such heights."

"Come on now, don't say that as if we didn't help either!" Tisha said. "Without our help that boy wouldn't had even gotten the chance of ascend, he would've been stopped midway through!"

"Indeed, we all helped on this," said Andromeda. "Don't look down at your own strength, everyone. From the beginning this has always been a cooperative work. We are all a big family, fighting alone has never been our forte either way..."

"But daddy..." Kate looked into the skies, seeing the explosions of flames erupting everywhere, Drake and Pandemonium were still fighting. "He insists he must fight Pandemonium on his own... Why?"

He roared in surprise, as everyone realized there was a gigantic swarm of Divine Monsters emerging from the cracks and holes made by the Venerable in their battle.

The destruction he had caused was not taken lightly by the wilderness of this continent, and now, a gigantic army of Divine Monsters that inhabited the underground areas of the continent emerged, furious their homes were destroyed, and coming like berserk beasts to destroy anything in the surface.

The majority of such monsters were all around Rank 9, and there were many that were also Rank 10! The strongest monsters they could ever find in the continent were all here...
