“Master, I’m heading out then…” Feeling the surge of newfound power, a smile bloomed on Thorns’ face. She rose to her feet and bid her goodbye to the nearby Yu Z Yu.
“Go ahead.” Giving his permission with a slight nod, Yu Zi Yu watched as Thorns headed towards the entrance to the Realm of Mist.
In just three days, the entire Realm of Mist—now the Tree Realm—had birthed over two hundred Treant.
Though their average strength was only near about Tier-2, a few, like the Fire Spirit Treant and Ice Soul Treant, were already on the verge of reaching Tier-3.
Not to mention exceptional individuals like the Dragon Blood Treant, who had awakened directly as a Tier-4.
With such talented Treants and Thorns guiding them, Yu Zi Yu believed the future of the Treant Race would be prosperous.
However, even Yu Zi Yu could not have anticipated just how far their future would extend, or that one day, the Treant Race would become one of the most terrifying legends of the ‘ancient era’.
…
At that moment, Demonic Phoenix, hovering in the skies of the Realm of Life, felt an unsettling premonition. Her eyes narrowed sharply.
A terrifying sight unfolded before her: the sky turned dark and oppressive.Suddenly, flashes of silver lightning, hundreds of meters long, streaked across the Heavens, tearing through the firmament, followed by deafening Thunderclap Titans that shook the entire world.
And then…
*Rooooooar…* A deep, ancient roar reverberated through the land.
Much to Demonic Phoenix’s disbelief, the sky shattered, and grotesque figures emerged from the rift—twisted abominations that seemed to have transformed from trees.
They descended upon the land, slaughtering all life in their path, devouring flesh and blood with insatiable hunger.
But then, just as suddenly as they had appeared, these demonic creatures vanished within a few short days…
The sight shifted, as though countless years had passed.
Once again, the sky was torn apart, and the monstrous beings returned.
Over and over…
Like a relentless, eternal cycle.
“What are they?” She murmured to herself, crimson blood trickling from the corners of her eyes.
Glimpsing too much of the future came with such consequences. But even now, Demonic Phoenix could not believe what she had seen. A question kept circling in her mind, [How could such terrifying creatures exist?]
After all, on the land below Heaven were Titans, Dragons, and many other higher Races. Yet, faced with those monstrous beings, even they seemed powerless.
“Just what in the world are they?” Terrified once more, Demonic Phoenix’s face turned pale.
For some reason, five words surfaced in her mind: [‘The Calamity of All Races.’]
It was a disaster for all races… a cycle of terror.
Again and again, like a harvest.
Even the mighty Titans and Dragons could not escape their clutches.
At that moment, Demonic Phoenix felt an overwhelming urge. She had to inform the Divine Tree, to warn him about this Race. If what she had seen of the ‘future’ was true, it would be a calamity of unimaginable scale.
But just as this impulse to warn the Divine Tree arose in her heart…
*Crackle…* A bolt of lightning split the clear sky.
With it came an indescribable pressure, so overwhelming that Demonic Phoenix could barely breathe.
“As expected…” With a bitter smile, Demonic Phoenix felt a sudden clarity in her heart.
She had glimpsed a future that should not have been seen.
If she were to reveal it, the consequences would be far too great for her to bear.
Given her current strength, only at the Demigod Realm, even uttering a single word of it would likely result in her complete annihilation.
“Perhaps only after reaching Tier-5 will I truly be able to share this terrifying future with the Divine Tree…” Muttering to herself, Demonic Phoenix suppressed the fear in her heart, and hurried back to the Phoenix Palace without a moment of delay.
Now, the most important thing for her was to focus on cultivating. If she continued to carry the burden of this secret without being able to reveal it, she feared it would lead to a Heart Demon.
This was another cost of peering into the future. Some futures could not be glimpsed at without consequences. Any being who dared to look into the future would inevitably be shackled by heavy chains.
Even now, though she knew that a calamity would befall the Demon Court the very next day, she dared not speak of it. All she could do was wait, in silence, until the disaster descended.
Thus…
Those who could glimpse the future were often lonesome beings.
For beings like Demonic Phoenix, who joined a Force, were destined to carry many burdens. Even those too heavy for their own Souls to bear.
Meanwhile, Yu Zi Yu had no knowledge of Demonic Phoenix’s unsettling visions and was once again undergoing changes.
For someone who had just completed his transformation, reaching Fifth Order of Tier-6, what mattered most now was adapting to his newfound power.
Unlike the overwhelming nature of the Fourth Order, the Fifth Order was more restrained and internal.
With this transformation, Yu Zi Yu’s control over his body had reached an entirely new level.
Mysterious, profound, and hard to explain.
But by merely raising a branch, Yu Zi Yu could sense that he could now alter its structure with ease.
For example…
In the stillness of his gaze, the branch slowly darkened, transforming into a root.
This was the new ability he had gained after reaching the Fifth Order and digging deeper into his being.
He could now effortlessly change the structure of his body—turning branches into roots, roots into branches, all with a single thought.
If compared to Humanoid Creatures, this could be likened to cellular reorganization.
“Quite fascinating.” Smiling to himself, Yu Zi Yu restored the branch to its original form, then turned it into a root once more…
As he played with this newfound power, time passed slowly.
In what seemed like the blink of an eye, half a month had gone by.
During this period, aside from adapting to his new strength, Yu Zi Yu also awakened Spirit Trees one by one, transforming them into Treants and sending them into the ‘Realm of Mist’.
Although the process was time-consuming, little by little, Yu Zi Yu managed to create seven to eight hundred Treants over the course of the half-month.
At this point, the number of Treants had reached a staggering thousand or so.
