Chapter 2127 – Another Meeting with Di E
The coursing river of tribulation light flung the entire Ancient God Domain into upheaval.
The sea of chaos clouds atop the sixth divine tower was completely enveloped in eye-catching and resplendent tribulation light.
Su Yi’s body and soul, however, were enveloped in the power of reincarnation, and they continuously devoured the tribulation light.
Chaos was like an egg; it gave rise to new life.
Now, Su Yi himself resembled a patch of chaos. As he continuously devoured the tribulation light, the chaos expanded.
It was indistinct, but a flame swayed at the center of the chaos.
It was the Epoch Spark!
As Su Yi continuously absorbed the tribulation light, the Epoch Spark underwent a mystical, unbelievable transformation alongside him. Firelight circulated, scattering a rain of the light of the Grand Dao.
Su Yi, meanwhile, was fully conscious, and he could clearly sense his transformation. What a wondrous sensation!
Even though his body and soul had been blasted into a bundle of chaos energy, swathed as they were in the power of reincarnation, they were in an indestructible state!
The tribulation light descending from the heavens might have seemed endlessly terrifying, but when it cleaved into him, his body and soul continuously devoured it, transforming it into dense, abundant vitality.
The Epoch Spark was transforming too. This Taboo Treasure was the seed of the new epoch civilization to begin with, and its wonders were without end.
Now, it had become Su Yi’s Divine Flame!
When other Great Profound Stage experts proved their Daos and became gods, lighting their Divine Flame was one of the most important steps they had to take.
But Su Yi’s path of divinity was different. He needed to break the ironclad rules of nature and violate a taboo. The Epoch Spark, a Taboo Treasure, was assisting him in achieving divinity!
His entire being was undergoing a shocking transformation. Throughout this process, Su Yi had numerous revelations.
His path of divinity was unprecedented because it was so starkly different from other people’s!
He had no Godhead. Rather, the Epoch Spark, which had long since fused with his cultivation base, had become a world of chaos. With it, he could fuse the myriad Daos of the heavens and use them toward his own ends!
When other people became gods, they used Epoch Sparks to condense Godheads. Their Laws of the Grand Dao originated from their Epoch Fragments. Ultimately, a single Epoch Law served as the foundation of their Daos.
Su Yi was different. He’d used the Epoch Spark to create a chaos ground and his Dao of the Sword to cleave open his path to divinity, while his body served as a furnace. Thus, he could transform the power of all Daos and fuse them all into his foundations in the Grand Dao!
This was the difference between him and other gods!
Boom!
A waterfall of tribulation light came crashing down with increasing momentum.
Su Yi was like a bundle of chaos, continuously transforming and rebuilding himself as the tribulation light washed over him. Gradually, his shattered body recondensed, forming skin, tendons, bones, muscles, meridians, acupoints, and organs. Every part of his new fleshly body absorbed that dense, mysterious vitality, helping it grow even stronger.
Immediately afterward, his shattered soul reformed, and it too grew stronger and stronger…
He really was like a phoenix undergoing rebirth amidst the flame, finding new life in the face of death, and rebuilding himself amidst destruction!
He’d been shattered completely. Now, he was rebuilding and transforming! It was like the alternations of withering and flourishing, or the cycle of life and death.
Boom!
Su Yi wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but inside, he transformed dramatically. An endless ocean of chaos appeared within him.
It was boundless, vast beyond measure, and deep beyond measure!
The surface of its “waters” were covered in mysterious and inscrutable chaos mists. It was impossible to see anything clearly.
At the same time, the Epoch Spark transformed. It was like a divine flame rooted in a sea of chaos. The firelight emanating from it illuminated the chaos mist hanging over the water!
The chaos was like fog, and the Epoch Spark was like a lamp, the only light in the mysterious, inscrutable ocean!
A Sea of Chaos! This is the nature of my divine power. With this chaos ground as a foundation, I’ll be able to accept and incorporate all of the myriad Daos of the heavens!
And the Epoch Spark has now fully fused into my foundations in the Grand Dao! So long as it remains, my Dao shall exist in perpetuity!
Unlike other Creation Realm Lesser Gods, I have no Godhead. Instead, I have a Sea of Chaos!
My soul has changed, too. It’s condensing my Divine Dao Avatar! The most wondrous part is that my cultivation base and Laws of the Grand Dao are fusing with my soul power…
Su Yi had the strong premonition that his ascension to divinity was nearing true completion.
Meanwhile, in the outside world.
The entirety of the Path of the Ancient Gods was in uproar, from the City of the Beginning, the Deification Star Sea, the Ancient God Domain and its Nine Great Celestial Trials, and even the distant Abyssal Ruin…
Everyone was shocked to discover that the tribulation light blanketing the sky was rapidly receding and disappearing.
Except for the skies directly over the Nine Great Celestial Trails. There, the tribulation light was increasing and intensifying!
The light that had blanketed the entire Path of the Ancient Gods was now gathering around Su Yi!
Everyone watching from the trial grounds could picture it already. This Divine Tribulation was nearing its end!
Whether Su Yi could break through and become a god or not would soon become clear!
But it was then that deep beneath the dome of heaven, in a stretch of void, a group of grand and mysterious figures appeared!
There were around a dozen of them, both men and women.
And a corner of the River of Destiny, a place thought only to exist in legends, appeared reflected behind them!
“The path that swordsman has been planning since ancient times is about to appear,” said a man in golden warrior’s robes. His voice boomed throughout the sky, like the emperor of heaven issuing a divine decree!
“This Dao Fruit is connected to the mysteries of reincarnation, and an unprecedented, unparalleled path. If it appears, it will have an unpredictable effect on all worlds. We must completely eradicate it!” said a fair-skinned Daoist in a lotus crown. His eyes were utterly cold.
“It would be a shame to just destroy it. Since it’s appeared, why not seize this opportunity to claim it for ourselves?” an elegant, scholarly man said slowly.
“That’s just what I had in mind!” someone else chimed in.
“You have the strongest cultivation base of anyone of the present day, Fellow Daoist. The rest of us stepped onto the River of Destiny a long time ago. Even if we attack, we’ll find it difficult to intervene in the affairs of the present epoch,” said the man in gold. His gaze turned toward a man at the front of the group. “You’re the only one here capable of intervening. What do you think we should do?”
The others turned to look at the man in question.
He wore plain, long, wide-sleeved robes. His hair hung down to his waist, and his features were elegant and distinctive. His gaze was distant and inscrutable.
Endless darkness hovered around him like an eternal night. Countless wisps of dark power wove into chains and manifested dark talisman markings that hovered around the man in long robes.
He was obviously standing right there, but he seemed as if he were standing deep within endless darkness. He was just that tall, that holy, and that unreachable!
“I’m going to steal his Dao Fruit. If I can’t take it for myself, I’ll destroy it!” said the man in long robes, his gaze cold and calm. “But when I attack, I’ll need your support. After all, this Dao Fruit has appeared on the Path of the Ancient Gods.”
“Very well.” The others nodded.
A moment later, the man in long robes took a step through the air and shot toward the Path of the Ancient Gods.
The others stood amidst the void, watching in silence.
They stood with their backs to the River of Destiny, the sight making all of them seem all the more extraordinary and mysterious.
Su Yi was still undergoing tribulation when his heart shook. He could sense them.
And he could see the man in long robes approaching from the sky. Su Yi recognized him immediately. It’s him!
This was the man who’d appeared in the Immortal Realm’s Epoch Battlefield, the one the Dipankara Buddha, Master God Tian Huang, and Old Man Providence called “Fellow Daoist.”
In truth, he was extraordinarily terrifying.
Su Yi remembered his name, too. This was Di E!
Now, here he was again, and he was obviously intent on intervening.
That guy’s already strong enough to force his way into the Path of the Ancient Gods!? No, he cannot enter this place, but he can disrupt time and space to attack from outside it!
Su Yi’s brow furrowed. He could sense a threat, but he was at a critical stage of his tribulation. He could in no way fight back.
He’d only just thought this when Di E’s eyes flashed like lightning as he peered through endless time and space to lock onto the sixth divine tower, where Su Yi was now undergoing tribulation!
A moment later, he smiled faintly. “Li Fuyou? Yi Daoxuan? It doesn’t matter who you are. You escaped last time, in the Immortal Realm’s Epoch Battlefield, but you won’t escape this time!”
Boom!
He raised his right hand, and Laws of Darkness gathered around it, transformed into a mysterious blade, and slashed through the air.
The blade of darkness effortlessly cleaved through time and space, breaking through the Laws of the Path of the Ancient Gods to descend upon Su Yi.
Too fast!
Even though they were separated by endless time and space, this attack arrived almost instantaneously!
Weng!
The Sword of the Nine Hells had been hovering there in silence this entire time. It could obviously sense this impending crisis.
But then, a cold snort rang out.
“Scram!”
Bang!!
The descending blade of darkness shattered.
No one knew when he’d gotten there, but Su Yi’s third incarnation now stood beneath the dome of heaven, gazing at Di E from across the spacetime barrier of the Path of the Ancient Gods!
Su Yi couldn’t help but find this surprising.
“Who are you?” Di E frowned, but he wasn’t particularly surprised. He’d long since known that the Path of the Ancient Gods was mysterious, and that numerous extraordinarily terrifying figures were confined here.
“You aren’t worthy of knowing who I am.” Su Yi’s third incarnation said calmly, his hands behind his back. “Scram. Su Yi is my target. Even if he dies, he must die by my hand. I’ll kill anyone who tries to beat me to him!”
“….” Su Yi didn’t know what to say. He’s obviously not here to help me. He just doesn’t want anyone to kill me before he gets the chance!
“You’re telling me to scram?” said Di E, his gaze dark and imposing. “You’re just someone trapped in the Path of the Ancient Gods, a mere frog in a well. You know nothing of the height of the heavens or the depths of the earth!”
Su Yi’s third incarnation couldn’t help but laugh, his gaze incomparably cold. “In all my years of cultivation, no one has ever dared speak to me like that!”
With that, Su Yi’s third incarnation attacked.
Boom!
A streak of sword qi pierced the barrier of the Path of the Ancient Gods, cleaved through endless time and space, and descended upon Di E.
