“At that time, someone found an extraordinary treasure in this Ancient Wilderness Plain,” the bearded cultivator continued. “When they took it to the Wilderness City to sell, it caused a massive uproar. Through various investigative methods, the treasure’s secret was unearthed and revealed to the public.”

“Now, with strange phenomena reappearing in the Ancient Wilderness Plain, many people recall that incident and have flocked here, hoping to find the ancient ruins,” he explained, finally shedding light on the situation for Jiang Chengxuan.

Satisfied with the explanation, Jiang Chengxuan nodded slightly and, with a tacit understanding, tossed a bottle of pills to the bearded cultivator. “If you have more information, please continue,” he said calmly.

The bearded cultivator, delighted with the gift, probed its contents and was immediately struck by Jiang Chengxuan’s generosity.

His eyes gleamed with excitement as he adopted a more obsequious tone. “Ah, esteemed friend, your magnanimity knows no bounds. Allow me to share everything I know.”

He leaned in closer, his demeanor turning serious and secretive. “As far as I know, this ruin might very well be the legacy of a powerful Earth Immortal.”

Jiang Chengxuan’s interest was piqued, and he gestured for the man to continue.

“Years ago, when someone found a treasure here, it was identified as something once belonging to the Water Immortal Sect.

This sect was a renowned power near the Ancient Wilderness Plain, and it was led by an Earth Immortal. However, one day, the sect mysteriously vanished without a trace.”

“Based on these clues, it is highly likely that this ancient ruin is connected to the Water Immortal Sect,” he concluded.

Hearing this, Jiang Chengxuan’s expression showed a hint of surprise. He hadn’t expected such a clear and intriguing backstory for the ancient ruins.

The sudden disappearance of a powerful Earth Immortal sect was no small matter. It suggested that there might be significant dangers and untold secrets within these ruins.

“Alright, I understand. Do you have any more information?” Jiang Chengxuan asked after processing the details.

The bearded cultivator looked regretful, shrugging helplessly. “I’m afraid that’s all I know. If I had more, I’d certainly share it with you.”

Jiang Chengxuan didn’t press further. He waved his hand, indicating that he was done with the conversation, and walked towards a quieter area to meditate and wait.

Time passed quietly as more and more cultivators arrived, drawn by the same allure of the ancient ruins. The place grew increasingly crowded, with occasional conflicts breaking out over territory.

As the years went by, some grew impatient and left when no further signs of the ruins appeared. Jiang Chengxuan learned from others that such phenomena had occurred before—strange signs followed by long periods of inactivity, causing many to abandon their hopes.

Despite the fluctuating numbers of hopefuls, the allure of the ancient ruins remained strong, drawing new adventurers to replace those who left.

Jiang Chengxuan, however, remained patient, confident that his intuition was guiding him correctly. In his constructed tower, he continued his cultivation and waited, his patience unshaken. As a seasoned alchemist, he was no stranger to long periods of waiting.

Years passed, and one day, as Jiang Chengxuan meditated, an unprecedented commotion erupted across the Ancient Wilderness Plain. The ground beneath them began to tremble violently, space rippling like waves on the ocean.

“The ruins are opening! The ruins are opening!” Jubilant cries echoed as cultivators sensed the change.

Massive, multicolored space ripples solidified, forming towering pillars of crystal that reached towards the heavens. The sight was both breathtaking and awe-inspiring.
