This alarm was a visual alarm, not a vocal alarm. When it was triggered, a large pillar of light appeared in the center of the town, which brightened the town.
The light from the pillar was so intense that everyone in the town saw it. So the rank 3 warrior also saw it.
The rank 3 warrior rushed into the hole to inform Bushwick about the attack on their base. Bushwick was positively furious when he heard that his family was attacked. He rushed out of the ground and ran to his family.
Unfortunately, things were already over by the time he got there. A large explosion had taken place within the storehouse. The explosion had destroyed the storehouse and killed everyone around it trying to prevent the intruder from leaving.
There was a large pit where the store should be. There was no energy water. All that was left was debris and a glowing rune flickering in the air above a burnt corpse.
Bushwick roared at the top of his lungs, “What is going on?”
Someone came to inform him about what had occurred. It was an elder of the family who was at rank 2.
The elder was an old lady with white hair. But she still had a fit body.
She said, “Someone attacked the family. The person locked himself in the store and then blew it up. We are sure that he blew it up because the security system is not capable of the explosion.”
Bushwick felt that it was incredulous. He asked in confusion, “So he just came here to die?”
Then he looked at the burnt corpse and the glowing rune above it. The rune flickered for a while before it went out.
When Bushwick saw this, he understood what had happened. He laughed in anger and said, “These foolish lamp bearers. They are just like their captain. Instead of going down peacefully, they always have to cause a ruckus.”
Then he asked the elder, “How many people did he kill?”
She sighed as she replied, “I still don’t know yet because we haven’t assessed the extent of damage that he caused, but from my preliminary observations, he killed one rank 3 elder, four rank 2 people, and three rank 1 people.”
Then she shook her head and said, “As for the mortals, I have no idea. But they could be up to ten.”
Bushwick’s face twitched angrily as he said, “Very good. He killed more of my people than Sheckel and our team of over 30 lamp bearers. Truly impressive.”
After complimenting Levi in the most sarcastic voice ever, he said to the elder, “I’ve changed my mind. Go and kill every family member of the lamp bearers.”
She nodded sternly and left.
Bushwick looked at the wreckage that Levi had caused before he died with a look of anger. If he could drag Levi’s soul back from the dead and punish it, he would do it immediately and give Levi a beating that would make him wish for death.
He is so angry that he now wants to kill the family members of the lamp bearers. This wasn’t part of his plan before.
He didn’t plan to kill the family members of lamp bearers because he thought nothing of them. He was sure that they would find out that he was responsible for the deaths of their loved ones, but he didn’t care about them finding out because he looked down on them.
When an elder of the family suggested that they wipe out the family members of the lamp bearers, he chuckled and asked back, “What are they going to do?”
Now that Levi has answered that question, he is now inclined to take the family members of the deceased lamp bearers seriously.
He doesn’t even care that killing so many innocent people might anger the inhabitants of the town and turn them against the Ivory family.
Angering the people will make it very difficult to set up an army for a rank 4 knight that the people will support. But he doesn’t care about that now. All he wants to do is nip any potential problem in the bud before it becomes a danger to him and his family.
While he was gritting his teeth and wishing that he could drag back Levi’s soul from the pit of hell so that he could beat him, he heard an explosion behind him.
Despite the darkness, he looked back and was able to see the location of the explosion. This location was a two-story building cave-in and collapse. Dust was kicked up, and the ground rumbled as the building collapsed.
He roared in anger when he realized that the building was the base of the lamp bearers and his knights were still in it.
He roared at the top of his lungs, “Today, I swear that I will kill every lamp bearer that I meet.”
His angry shout rang throughout the town and startled a lot of people. Even Legion was startled.
Legion looked back towards the center of the town, where the Ivory family’s compound is and where the loud shout came from.
They thought to themselves, “I wonder what his problem is.”
Of course they had an idea of what might have angered the great and powerful Sir Bushwick. They have an inkling that it might have something to do with the explosions they set off.
To be fair, those explosions had more flash than substance. Legion hadn’t intended to use them to kill people. They had used them to cover up their traces.
The explosions were caused by using a bomb stone to ignite energy water. Unlike other stones like light stones and fire stones, which burn energy water in a slow and uniform manner, bomb stones react violently with energy water.
The more energy stones are used to react with a bomb stone, the larger the explosion will be. But no matter how large the explosion of a bomb stone is, most of its output is sound. Only a small portion of the explosion is heat.
