Chapter 961: The Snapper Aggression (Part 1)
The moment the Empyrean Snappers appeared on land, the Quip Clan already relayed the information to every relevant force in the region, all the way to the destination.
The Pranic Beast groups being transported by the Quip Clan wanted to see the chaos in action and paid extra for another stop.
Many Ravaged Tribes had set up camps across the region, intending to witness the chaos without getting caught up in it.
After all, an Empyrean Snapper was a Deity. The sheer movement of its body caused minor quakes, not to mention when it fought. So, the Ravaged Tribes camped far, picking hilly regions for both safety and view.
The Pranic Beasts in charge of the respective Ravaged Tribes anticipated the upcoming showdown, for in Sumatra’s Pranic Beast world, two races stood at the top. And now, one of the two races was about to rampage.
The number of Quip Zingers gliding around reached the tens of thousands, with more than five hundred Zinger Aristocrats there to manage everything. Kenka Echo took up command of the group while having already given orders for four more Zinger Princes to be dispatched to the Varahan Empire.
In the meantime, Bronsk Brimgan had employed the use of the Minor Treasure of Kinesis Beyblade to bring his convoy out. At a moment’s notice, he intended to flee far away, aware of the sheer might a combined group of Empyrean Snappers could unleash.
Unlike most groups, he was aware of the power of Mystic Grade Weaponisation and the existence of Nature Weapons. Majority of the Mammoth Clan Virala’s Nature Weapons were in the Brimgan Empire’s custody, being researched for further understanding.
If a Weaponisation user with the Nature of Cultivator equipped themselves onto a Pranic Beast’s Nature slot and exuded their influence, they could give a human form to the Pranic Beast, even if it was temporary.
Brandal Brimgan had gained a lot of information by torturing Virala. There were many faulty pieces of information among them, which Virala had given out purposefully. These pieces of information had already been corrected by Boul Brimgan; they were further reinforced by Ruvva who had deep knowledge about Gannala.
Hence, Bronsk Brimgan had a good idea of the state of the Empyrean Snappers. It was why he wanted to flee at a moment’s notice. Thankfully, speed was something he was confident about.
Seated on the chakram alongside his entourage, Bronsk Brimgan raised their altitude to the maximum, reaching a height of 18 kilometres. The skies were mostly clear, allowing him to notice a trail of mist speeding towards the Brimgan Empire.
He observed everything and shook his head, “This is beyond what I can handle.”
The mist appeared like a serpent, bulldozing everything in its path. Pranic Beasts fled on sight, creating chaos in the region. Since the Varahan Empire and the Wean Clan constantly raided their surroundings, there weren’t enough Pranic Beasts beyond the border.
If not for that, a Minor Crisis would have formed by now.
Bronsk Brimgan turned to the side and noticed that Yoribu had dispatched one of her bodies, leading an army over a hundred thousand Free Humans. Every division of 500 soldiers were led by a Gold Grade Free Human.
And forming a close circle around Yoribu were Mesupoh and one more Gold Grade Free Human with a State of Harmony. They had armed themselves to the teeth the moment they were informed about the arrival of the Empyrean Snappers.
Even though they were Free Humans, and the one who caused destruction to the Cooter Clan was Brangara, there was zero guarantee they could remain a bystander.
As long as they called themselves the Varahan Empire, they remained an opposing faction to the Empyrean Snappers. And hence, they had geared up for war.
Positioned twenty kilometres away was an army of 2000 Wean Clansmen, accompanied by a group of Forest Boars and other variants from the Kalahatra Desert. They would be subjected to the brunt of the Empyrean Snappers’ might, and hence had to be prepared for the worst.
Standing at the very front was KalTara, having reached maturity with his sixth body. He munched on a large thigh bone of a Gold Grade Pranic Beast, the source unknown. He had just casually hunted one due to the situation, too fast for anyone to see who he had hunted.
In a matter of seconds, he had consumed the piece as his stomach grumbled, compressing the food for later digestion. Following that, his figure flickered and appeared a bit closer to the Varahan Empire’s camp, noticing Yoribu appear a dozen seconds later, having the same thought in her mind.
“A temporary truce,” Both said at the same time and then made their retreat. Nothing else was needed to be said, as they understood the situation best.
At a spot extremely far away appeared a Parute Tree. A moment later, it morphed into the figure of Blola, who gazed in the direction of the moving mist in worry. His muscles convulsed and lost most of their mass as a weak figure of Barla appeared beside him.
“Your son is the Wean Clan’s leader.” Blola said and stared at Barla, “What do you intend to do in this situation?”
“As long as a Mystic Grade existence doesn’t appear, I won’t take action.” Barla shook her head, “KalTara is by far the most capable Wean Clansman. He knows wat to do to save his Clan.”
“Cold,” Blola shrugged, “I thought you would have armed up by now?”
“Against whom? The Empyrean Snappers?” Barla chuckled, “They lack the experience to face the Empyrean Boar King.”
She then casually waved her hand to point at her surroundings, “I can simply make do with the Natures available here.”
“Even your father wasn’t confident in taking on the entire Cooter Clan, even after becoming the Celestial Boar.” Blola snorted, “Astral Puncture isn’t your strength, Barla. You shouldn’t judge yourself based on your damage output alone. Without my support, your body cannot endure the sheer backlash from using it.”
“Wow, you’re one stupid bastard, huh?” Barla chuckled and slumped on a boulder, dangling her legs casually to utter, “You’re simply the guy who was given the opportunity to revive me. Don’t for a moment think you grasp the full extent of my abilities.”
“Then, you believe you could kill the Empyrean Snappers? All 216 of them?” Blola asked, mildly irritated at Barla’s words.
“If I fought them with zero preparations,” Barla analysed the mist and spoke, “It’ll be an endurance battle. My victory condition would be to rely on my superior recovery speeds and tire them out eventually. Hmm…let’s see…”
She trailed off for a few seconds and then spoke, “In around three to four decades, I’ll manage to wipe them out.”
“…Never boast in the future, alright?” Blola covered his face in embarrassment. However, two seconds later, he lifted his head and blurted in surprise, “Zero preparations?”
“Yes, zero.” Barla eyed him in mockery, “And I wasn’t even counting on using any Natures beyond Iron Grade.”
“If I were to optimise my Astral Chart, then I won’t need too long to destroy them.” Barla chuckled, “Of course, if I were to use Astral Puncture, it wouldn’t even be a fight.”
“Are you that confident in breaching their absolute domain without Astral Puncture?” Blola asked, tilting his head in confusion upon seeing Barla shake her head.
“That’s impossible,” She said, “Without Astral Puncture, I have zero chances of breaching their absolute domain. All my means would be to constantly bombard their absolute domain and harass them endlessly until they tire out.”
“Then, I should be able to manage it too.” Blola’s eyes glinted. He spawned a Rockatrice and made it create a small viewing stand of rock, with a chair, bed, and even a pool combo, all overlooking the balcony which had a picturesque view of the Varahan Empire and the Wean Clan’s armies.
“Well, if you have no intentions to interfere, then take a seat.” Saying so, Blola jumped into the pool after an aquatic Pranic Beast filled it with water.
“I’ll pass,” Barla didn’t spare a glance his way and instead observed the situation, her gaze transfixed on KalTara. A few seconds later, her gaze morphed as she shouted, “Blola, bring out a Quip Clansman.”
“I want to know what the fuck the Quip Clan is scheming now!” At her shout, Blola flinched in surprise. He flashed to an open spot as a Parute Tree and spawned a Quip Clansman after assuming Transcendent Eater form for a short while.
“What are they planning?” He commanded the Quip Clansman who listened to the Zinger Shrieks faintly reaching their way.
After a few seconds, the Quip Clansman shook his head, “It’s just back and forth about when Wally will arrive.”
“Is that it?” Barla eyed the Quip Clansman who trembled under her glare. She then reverted her gaze to the two armies and uttered, “I refuse to believe they haven’t planned anything else.”
“Maybe they were caught off guard,” Blola shrugged, “The Quip Clan is a merchant force…”
“Do you seriously believe the force created by the man who invented Astral Puncture has nothing in store?” Barla snapped and thought in worry, ’Seriously! I hope they don’t bring out Root. He only listens to the Royal Zinger. If he makes an appearance here, everyone is doomed.’
She had witnessed Root in action during the Third Major Disaster. With a glance, she knew that Root was merely a baby back then. But a decade had spanned since then. Root would have significantly matured as compared to the past, which made him all the more dangerous.
“If…” She eyed KalTara and spoke, “If my son fails to stop the Empyrean Snappers, I’m joining the fight.”
“What Natures do you want?” Blola asked nonchalantly, “I only forbid you from relying on Astral Puncture, as it’ll take me a while to cut off Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater from this region. I can’t afford information about it getting leaked to the Transcendents. Since if Sumatra’s Transcendent Eater knows, there’s a chance our opponents could find out from it.”
“One Kinesis Deity, one Rocky Intimidation, ten Bone-Melting Artillery, two Bloody Affection, one Imprison, one Mud Ball, and two Prana Bomb.” Barla said, “Split the remaining slots between Shredded Lunge, Eddy Blade, and Prana Shock.”
“Done!” Blola’s body shrunk further as the respective Pranic Beasts and one Brimgan Royal appeared, all of which was consumed by Barla. Soon, she was ready, watching the mist stop before the two armies, “It’s starting now.”
The mist churned to form a sphere, remaining spinning for a few minutes in silence as all forces watched with tensed breaths. And then, it dispersed, showing a group of bald men of varying age groups, 216 in total.
The leader of the group, Danhral walked out, observed the surroundings, and barely managed to rein in his shock, ’Even the outskirts of the Varahan Empire is this developed? They have already surpassed the Cooter Clan, huh?’
“Hear me, natives of this region.” His voice reverberated in the surroundings as Danhral spoke without an ounce of hesitation, “The Celestial Boar wiped out a fifth of my kind. And today, we merely wish to repay the favour.”
“Anyone who doesn’t wish to be caught in our attacks,” He announced coldly, “Leave now or pray you’re fit enough to survive.”
