Chapter 975: Daughter
Nature Weapon—Internal Astral Cultivator!
Even with the Dance of Annihilation, it still took a long time to turn the cooled miniature star into a Nature Weapon. But it was finally done, allowing Gannala to finally get her hands on the Nature of Internal Astral Cultivator.
“Dad, it’s done! It’s done! I got it!” Gannala laughed in excitement as she hugged Inala and twirled the latter around in the air. “I got the Nature Weapon!”
“Indeed, you did.” Inala smiled proudly. He too was excited, because with Gannala’s current level of accumulation, her growth was unstoppable. With everything she had in her possession, even if she were to encounter the Celestial Boar, she could plan and prepare.
She now had everything to fight against even Mystic Grade existences. “I’m proud of you.”
“Hehe!” Gannala giggled like a kid as she patted the Nature Weapon of Refiner and stared at Inala, “Do you want to use it, Dad?”
“Whatever Nature strikes your fancy, I can elevate it to the Mystic Grade and give it to you.” She asked in anticipation. She finally had a chance to do something for her father. Seeing Inala’s face filled with pride towards her was like a drug.
She wanted to be praised more. The more, the merrier. And hence, she wanted to show off her powers, “What do you say, Dad?”
“I’ll pass,” Inala shook his head with a mild chuckle, “I have the Major Treasure of Weapon with me. That’s all I need to reach my endgame build.”
“What about Sumatra Gold?” Gannala asked next, “If you give me some time, I can extract one from the Empyrean Boar King. Since he’s a pig that can eat a lot, it wouldn’t take me too long to gather one piece.”
“With it…” She pointed at his hands, “Wouldn’t you be able to create a Spirit Weapon upon touching it?”
“Indeed, I would be able to.” Inala nodded. With his Secondary Nature of Weapon Hands, the moment he touches a piece of Sumatra Gold, he would absorb it and transform it into a Spirit Weapon.
After that, he could accumulate pieces of Sumatra Gold by constantly severing his hands. Of course, to condense a piece would require a lot of Prana, which he didn’t have. Therefore, his Sumatra Gold hands would regenerate at an absurdly slow rate as he accumulated Prana.
However, the fact that he could gather Sumatra Gold as a Gold Grade existence was insane. But without a moment’s hesitation, Inala shook his head, “I don’t need one.”
“Why, Dad?” Gannala expressed her disappointment at the answer, “Do you wish to struggle through life? Why don’t you take advantage of the immense benefits I can provide you?”
“Because there’s no reason.” Inala waved his hand casually, “My daughter is safe and is already one of the strongest on Sumatra. I don’t have any worries, and since I am well on track to reaching my full capacity, I have no plans to shorten my path.”
“I became a Brully to explore Sumatra,” Inala said in seriousness upon seeing Gannala’s confusion. “My goal isn’t to fight the Celestial Boar.”
“My fight already ended at the Kalahatra Desert.”
“Then…” Gannala hesitated before asking, “Will you not try to reach the Mystic Grade? If you want to do so, it’s not impossible.”
“I will reach the Mystic Grade,” Inala said, “During the Fourth Major Disaster, right before touching the Seat of Transcendence.”
“Why, Dad? Why do you intend to wait until then?” Gannala couldn’t make sense of his explanation, “If you were to become a Mystic Grade Pranic Beats, wouldn’t you have an easier time obtaining the Seat of Transcendence?”
“The Seat of Transcendence is the end of my journey.” Inala smiled wryly, “After that, I have to make way for the Royal Zinger, since the Continental Invasion would begin immediately after.”
“I…wish to explore and enjoy. I only have time until the Fourth Major Disaster.” Inala said, extending his thumb to wipe a droplet of tear that Gannala subconsciously shed, “If I were to reach the Mystic Grade before that, then Sumatra Continent would no longer appeal to me.”
“Part of its beauty lies in its danger. And I rebirthed solely to explore it.”
“Alright,” Gannala let out a long sigh. She stared at Inala’s face, understating the latter intended to leave, “Can I…can I come with you, Dad?”
“…No,” Inala shook his head, “You still have a lot of work left to do.”
“What if I’m done with everything?” Gannala asked, almost hesitant, “Can I then accompany you?”
“A few years before the Fourth Major Disaster begins,” Inala hugged Gannala, “I’ll visit you.”
“Start a family once you find someone you love. And don’t think about me too much. I’m merely a dead man living on borrowed time.” Inala pointed at his temples, “Kenka’s recent actions shortened my time by a significant amount. The Quip Clan knows that as long as they keep summoning the Royal Zinger, whatever arrangements I made to stay alive would be destroyed.”
“I’ll revert into the Royal Zinger.” Inala let out a sigh.
“But you’re all I have left of my family.” Gannala sobbed, “Can’t you at least stay here for some time?”
“I did,” Inala responded spontaneously at that, “I stayed here all along only for you. Not for a moment did I ever care about Internal Astral Cultivator. I was always sure you’d be able to create it.”
“I would love to spend more time with you, but I hope to spend the rest of my life on an adventure.” Inala said, “Besides, I don’t plan on holding you back.”
“Reach for the stars, Gannala.” He said and began to make his return to the cave holding Shuwrak Zahara and the rest, “I know you can.”
“I will,” Gannala revealed a bright smile as she gazed at Inala’s back for a long while. And then, she broke down into tears, “You should have asked me to come journey with you…”
He knew why Inala didn’t want Gannala to waste her time. In the past few months, the duo had discussed a lot. Step by step, Gannala revealed her plans. Internal Astral Cultivator was merely the first step of her plan. She still had plenty to plan and prepare.
Splitting her attention wasn’t wise. Splitting her bodies was even more dangerous. The influence difference was pretty harsh on her separated bodies as Gannala was constantly changing her Natures using Internal Derivative Refiner.
The separated body of Gannala was a security compromise. Anything can and will happen on Sumatra. And when it did, the two different versions of Gannala would have to hunt each other. It would be similar to the Mystic Human Virala and the Mammoth Clansman Virala.
Inala didn’t want Gannala needlessly endangering herself, which was why he promised to return before the Fourth Major Disaster started.
’He’s…still the same.’ The longer they were together, the more Inala will think of assisting her. Currently, Gannala didn’t need any assistance. But with Inala’s smarts, he would definitely find a way to help her better.
It would prevent him from enjoying his vacation time, ’It’s what he desperately needs.’
“And he deserves it.” She wiped her tears, came to terms with her situation, and slowly waved her hands, even though Inala was already long gone, “Goodbye, Dad.”
“I’ll wait for your return.”
Sometime later, Inala carried the trio of Shuwrak Zahara, Loya, and the Knell Clansman as he arrived before the Sandy-Grey Void Ring. A clump of Prana extended out of him and made contact with the grey sand in the curtain of night.
Major Treasure—Weapon!
Returning from the curtain of night was a dark grey Spirit Weapon in the shape of a sphere. It was made out of Frey Sand and was able to unleash the effects of Sandy-Grey Void.
Of course, using its power was suicidal, as Inala was only able to control the Spirit Weapon. The created Sandy-Grey Void was as dangerous to him as any other Pranic Beast on Sumatra. His body wasn’t that of a Mudropper that treated the Sandy-Grey Void as its home.
Under his control, the grey sand Spirit Weapon elongated into a wheel as Inala rode it like a unicycle. His psychokinesis was the driving force behind the wheel. Carried on his arm were his three comrades, still unconscious.
The unicycle treaded the Sandy-Grey Void ring as Inala made a straight line, hoping he was moving in the right direction.
Actually, he was just being stubborn here, as he intended to experience the Sandy-Grey Void properly. Otherwise, the moment he turns his hands into Rutham, he could sever one of them and send it to the other side of the Sandy-Grey Void ring.
The ring covered a breadth of a kilometre, while with Rutham, Inala’s Spirit Weapon range increased to 1.8 kilometres.
As long as the Spirit Weapon grabs onto the soil or some object firmly on the other side, the force from psychokinesis alone was enough to carry Inala and the rest safely across the Sandy-Grey Void ring.
Forget that. Inala could rely on his Secondary Nature to turn his hands into grey sand Spirit Weapons and walk with them.
If he didn’t wish to do any of the above, he could have Gannala to escort him out of the Sanrey Plains, which she could have done in a jiffy. But no, he wanted to move on his own, with purpose, slowly.
Part of him wished to stay behind with Gannala and spend time with his daughter without worries, ’She has forgiven me for killing Harrala, but I haven’t.’
’Besides, this is just a temporary lease of my life.’ Inala thought as he proceeded forward through the jet-black nightscape, ’If I get close to Gannala, and my life’s cut short due to the grey tower shattering in my mind space, she’ll go ballistic.’
If Gannala wanted, she could destroy the Quip Clan. Losing her only family would turn her crazy, which Inala wanted to avoid. “The current scene is better.”
“She misses me a bit, and is willing to wait for my return. She wouldn’t resort to anything crazy and instead harness all her capability to grow stronger and prepare for the Continental Invasion.”
“That’s all for a family reunion.” Inala said once he emerged on the other side of the Sandy-Grey Void ring, “And now, onto a new adventure.”
He paused for a moment and muttered, his face wide with a smile bursting in pride, “She has come a long way now, that brat.”
