Chapter 998: Rutham Beating
Primary Nature—Infused Kinesis Touch!
The moment Inala tanked its attack to the face, he knew exactly how the Roshmon came about, ’The Brimgan Founder is definitely related to it.’
The Brimgan Founder had a lot of plans behind the creation of the Brimgan Empire. The sheer growth potential given by Gold Kinesis Art was immense, resulting in the Empire standing tall to this day.
He didn’t stop at just creating the Empire but also made a whole lot of plans. As for the purpose of the formation, it still wasn’t certain, but Inala could grasp the intent behind the Roshmon’s origin.
’It was created with the intention to serve the Brimgan Royals in gaining a Secondary Nature.’ He analysed, for Infused Kinesis Touch and Inherent Recoil worked in great sync with Kinesis Deity.
And that wasn’t all, “It…can’t be.”
As Inala jumped into a crater, he activated his Major Treasure of Weapon and used his superior Spirit Weapon Range to seep a clump of Prana into the Roshmon. A few seconds of scouring around later, a Spirit Weapon appeared out of its body, shining with a familiar gold hue.
Mineral—Rutham!
Even though it was in scant quantities, too scattered and minimal to be extracted without the Major Treasure of Weapon, it was still Rutham, present naturally.
A Brimgan Royal used Gold Kinesis Art to refine the Iron Grade Mineral—Kirenal—into its Gold Grade version—Rutham.
It had to be refined as only Kirenal was available on Sumatra. It was plenty available, in various locations. Hence, the Brimgan Empire had no issues obtaining it.
However, Inala never expected that Rutham could appear naturally on Sumatra, ’How are there no records of the Roshmon?’
The Roshmon lived in the Stromar Cliff, which was merely 200 kilometres away from the Rumtara Kingdom. Despite being a Kingdom, the Rumtara Kingdom was extremely famous among both Free Human and Pranic Beast societies.
The Free Humans knew the Rumtara Kingdom as a miracle that withstood the test of time somehow, despite its ruling powers possessing record-breaking levels of incompetence. The Pranic Beasts treated the Rumtara Kingdom as the greatest all-you-can-eat buffet.
And after every invasion, a stream of refugees left the Rumtara Kingdom and scattered around the region. Most of the groups tried to head towards the Brimgan Empire, while the rest migrated in other directions.
However, despite everything, despite generations after generations of Rumtara Kingdom citizens seeking refuge in the Brimgan Empire and updating the latter’s records, the Brimgan Empire didn’t seem aware of the Roshmon’s existence.
That wasn’t all. The Quip Clan didn’t know about it either. This was despite there being a Quip Tower right at the border of the Stromar Cliff.
’It doesn’t make sense that no one knows about such a creature.’ That was what Inala couldn’t figure out, “Tell me…”
[How come no one knows about the existence of your Race?]
Inala used the Roshmon’s language, which seemed completely different from the Muscls. “I came to fight you, but only for fun. I have no misgivings about you. If it makes you willing to talk, I can gift you a few interesting items.”
The Roshmon was silent for a few seconds upon hearing Inala’s voice. It then leapt from one side of the crater to the other and landed in its depths, at a spot of land next to the water connecting the Mrutch Sea.
It watched Inala land before it without an ounce of nervousness or hesitation, ’I’ve never seen such a sturdy Free Human.’
’He’s a strange one, alright.’ The Roshmon analysed Inala and communicated, “You wish to fight me?”
“Yeah,” Inala nodded, “But before that, I’m curious to know why there’s no information about your race in any of the major powers.”
“By Major Powers, you mean…” The Roshmon tilted its head, hard in thought before saying, “The Brimgan Empire?”
“They are one of the major powers I was thinking of,” Inala nodded.
“Not sure,” The Roshmon shrugged, “No one enters this deep into the Stromar Cliff in fear of the flash floods. Anyone who enters the region only collects the Krave Fil from the borders, which has more than enough for their needs.”
“Quip Clan…was it?” The Roshmon said, “I heard a Muscl mention these gliding creatures that can strangely transform into humans. They have been active around the borders too.”
“We’re probably not known since there are so few of us.” The Roshmon continued, “And we only reveal for a short instance when we hunt for food. We mostly gather a bunch of Rascls during a flash flood, so our existence is never revealed to the outside world.”
“That’s it?” Inala frowned as he pointed at the Rutham Spirit Weapon in the shape of a nail, “I made this out of the Rutham present in your body. Do you know this mineral is used by the Brimgan Royals to build their Human Avatar?”
“I am not aware,” The Roshmon said as it stared at the nail, “I saw you taking this out of my body. But I never sensed something like this in me until now.”
’It doesn’t know anything.’ Inala wanted to figure out the reason. He then pointed at the water, “Hey, can I use this channel? There’s someplace I want to be and this is the only path leading to it.”
“Someplace?” The Roshmon tilted its head and licked its paws. Its voice turned a tad shrill, “What place?”
“There’s only one place here.” Inala responded, spontaneously catching wind of the minor change in the Roshmon’s voice.
“And how did you come across information about it?” The Roshmon asked, being extremely subtle about its killing intent that was steadily increasing.
“I figured it out,” Inala shrugged casually and spontaneously threw his Rutham hand into a wall farther away and used the stream of psychokinesis connecting them to cushion his impact.
The Roshmon had attacked him, slamming him into the wall with greater force this time. The stream of psychokinesis from his Rutham Arm served to negate most of the momentum, allowing Inala to withstand the impact.
“Now, I’m curious about the way you’ve reacted.” Inala said as he severed his hands a bunch of times, until a total of nine Rutham hands hovered before him. Their flight wasn’t steady, having impulses during their path as they were accelerating and decelerating.
For a fraction of a second, psychokinesis was being funnelled into one of them to propel them towards the target.
Skill—Spirit Weapon Switch!
He didn’t need to activate Mystic Kinesis Art to unleash this Skill, since the Rutham arms were treated as part of his body at the moment, doubling as his Spirit Weapons. His Billakin Spirit Container allowed him to treat his Rutham hands as if he were a Brimgan Royal.
As long as he had the knowledge of the Skill, he could unleash its effect, even without the usage of Mystic Kinesis Art. Of course, to raise the Skill’s potency, Inala converted it into a form it could be unleashed through Mystic Sumatra Art too.
The quantity and switching speed were slower, but it was still the Skill of Spirit Weapon Switch. And currently, Inala was capable of controlling up to nine of them, excluding his arms.
The nine Rutham hands turned into a golden flash and attacked the Roshmon. Inala raised his hands and defended against a Rutham hand that slammed into him.
The Roshmon was only able to redirect one Spirit Weapon at him. The remaining eight bombarded the Roshmon nonstop for a few minutes.
“Now, why don’t we talk?” Inala pulled the ground with his Rutham hands that moved in the blink of an eye, propelling himself towards the Roshmon. His nine Rutham Spirit Weapons grabbed the crater walls at different spots, creating a web of psychokinesis to support him.
When Infused Kinesis Touch pushed him in a certain direction, the Rutham Spirit Weapon present in the opposite direction pulled. This way, Inala only flew for a few metres before regaining his footing. Moreover, if he was sent flying, other than the one Spirit Weapon required the pull, Inala used the rest to punch the Roshmon in sync.
And before it could charge up and retaliate, the Spirit Weapons escaped its range and grabbed the walls, ensuring only Inala stood in its range.
“I…won’t talk…” The Roshmon uttered as its gaze trembled, watching Inala before its face as suddenly, his hands turned into a golden blur. And then…
Pa-pat-pat!
Dozens of punches struck it every second, overwhelming even the Roshmon’s recovery speeds. Clenching his hand into a fist, Inala craned a straight right, turning it into a slap towards the end as he slammed the Roshmon’s face into the ground.
“You have an impressive set of natures, enough that even I am intrigued by them. But,” Inala said after a series of bombardment for a few hours, stopping only after the Roshmon was drained of Prana, “Predator my ass. You have zero experience in fighting a peer.”
“You’ve never fought a Gold Grade existence in your whole life, right?”
“Spare…me…” The Roshmon purred in defeat, “I’ll tell you everything.”
“Go on, start talking,” Inala said as he stopped hurling punches. However, he still rested his Rutham hand on the Roshmon’s cheek, slowly brushing the latter’s fur, “I have a lot of time on my hands, but my patience isn’t endless.”
He then made eye contact with the Roshmon, forcing the latter to stare into his eyes, “If you truly wish to test my patience, you better be prepared.”
Terror!
“No! I’ll tell everything!” The Roshmon screamed all of a sudden, unsure what came over it the moment it stared into Inala’s eyes. It felt terrified, because it seemed like the casual individual before it would become a horrifying entity the moment his switch was flipped. ’The outside world is ridiculous!’
“There’s a formation inside!” It shouted, “I’m not sure what it is, only that I’m meant to guard its existence. And if anyone strong enough to overpower me arrives, I’m supposed to lead them to it.”
“I did it to a Panger in the past!” It said in a hurry, “So, I can lead you there, no problem.”
