Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3831: Journey Into The Unknown IV

Chapter 3831: Journey Into The Unknown IV

The golden light shimmered like a dream half-remembered as Moiraine led them out of the Schrödinger’s Gateway.

The skyspace above stretched far and wide, but even calling it a sky would truly be misleading as what sky would be filled with Event Horizons all around?

It was not so much a firmament as it was a great veil of possibility, a realm where paradox lived and breathed. Moiraine’s voice rang quietly through this brilliance, calm and clear.

"The Transcendent Paradoxical Folds are endless," she said, her gaze ahead and steady. "We are merely in the Gold Schrödinger’s Expanse now. This skyspace filled with Living Wheels of Existence is only one corner."

As their feet touched down outside the gateway, the surroundings came into sharper clarity. A pressure, silent and massive, pressed against Noah’s form as his Living Wheel of Existence began to hum, its spin growing heavier with a dense surge of Purity and Complexity.

|The Living True Source of Paradox is absorbing the potent weavings of Living Paradoxical Authority in the atmosphere, allowing Complexity and Purity to rise slowly.|

|+0.2 PQ and +0.25 CQ...|

HUUM!

Just by existing here, Noah grew stronger.

He looked towards Aetheron who seemed to be experiencing the same thing!

A rise in complexity and purity!

The very air thickened with the essence of Living Paradoxes, and every breath added depth to his being. He marveled at this place that defied reason, where to walk and simply be here was to ascend.

Far ahead, amidst the glimmering folds of paradoxical gold, Noah saw massive Wheels of Existence suspended like colossal gears turning in silence. They bore the hues of twilight and dawn, wrapped in auroras of golden light that shifted as if breathing.

Ergospheres of paradox rotated around them in their nearby regions, Noah gazing at the constant twisting of light and Paradox as he continued his absorption even more!

Then, without warning, the space before them twisted soon after. A wheel-shaped vessel the size of a football field bloomed into being. It floated ahead, humming softly, and Noah noted a at least 20 grand golden thrones floating at its center.

Chains extended from the very center and outwardly to anchor a vast, winged golden slime- a creature pulsing with Paradox and smiling with enthusiasm towards them as it was an Originus Venerant creature!

Acting as a mount...to pull a vessel!

Seated atop the Originus Venerant slime, a Foldless One waited. One with brilliant white hair and obsidian hues around her. The moment she saw Moiraine, her radiant eyes lit with familiarity as she bowed deeply. "Lady Moiraine, it is great to see you again after all this time. Please, give me the honor of taking you to the Goldfolds."

Moiraine actually smiled. "It is great to see you too, Caretaker Nina. Let’s make this journey a quick one. The matter is somewhat important."

She glided forward and settled on the foremost throne without hesitation. Noah, eyes gleaming, stepped up and sat beside her, unflinching even amid this gathering of power. He could feel golden Paradox spiraling beneath him, the vessel singing softly.

Caretaker Nina nodded toward Oryzarakh and offered Aetheron and Noah brief glances before turning her focus to the slime beneath her. With the reins in hand, she gave a tug, and they were off.

The motion was near-instantaneous. Noah barely had time to register it before the world around him became streaks of golden light.

The speed outpaced anything he had experienced- faster than thought, faster than history.

After all, it was a fucking Originus Venerant creature acting as the mount for them!

As they traveled, Noah’s mind settled. He began piecing together impressions and patterns. The structure of Living Paradoxes was not as chaotic as he had once assumed. There was discipline here, an order hidden beneath the paradox. And in the midst of it all, Moiraine stood as something unique as she held a certain identity.

She must have felt his gaze, for she turned her head slightly, golden hair flowing in waves behind her as she continued like an encyclopedia.

"Within the vast Transcendent Paradoxical Folds," she began, her tone light with memory, "there are many other folds. We are heading to the Goldfolds of the Gold Schrödinger’s Expanse, under the reign of the Golden Paradoxes. Many...Living Paradoxes have risen since the Earliest Folds. After The Living Paradox was wounded and locked away by The Others, its defeat did not spell its end."

She continued, her voice unwavering. "Everything was already spread across the Folds. Its signature painted all of existence. Lifeforms filled with the musings of Paradox began to rise everywhere. The Golden Paradoxes are among the few Lineages that trace directly back to those earliest days."

The air pulsed with the truth of her words. Noah digested the weight of them in silence, his thoughts sharpening. The rulers of this place had an extremely long past and history!

He glanced out of the golden streaks that blurred past them.

"And what do we hope to achieve in these Goldfolds where the Golden Paradoxes reside?"

A simple question. Direct.

Moiraine turned fully now, her golden eyes calm. "I need to secure you there. You must reach Originus Venerant as quickly as possible. You are far too vulnerable right now. Any minor entanglement could erase you if someone found out about you as they do not even need to be in the same Folds as you to attack you. A Living Elemental could eradicate the flame of your existence with but a thought. A Living Spirit could control and manipulate your existence without you even knowing it. A Living Origin...those shitheads could grasp your very beginning and purpose to twist it how they wish. The current you is far too weak for the possibilities ahead."

...!

She paused. "Once your safety is secured somewhat, I will at the same time be contacting the Goldfolds Monarch...The Honored Living Golden Paradox."

WAA!

"The Honored Living Golden Paradox?" Noah asked.

She nodded. "The one who holds the purest lineage among all Golden Paradoxes. The Ancestral Paradox before me. We must affirm your presence here through him before any other Lineage becomes aware. Before any other Living Existences become aware. You are on a ticking clock, Osmont."

She said no more. The vessel slowed gradually.

Light and event horizons resolved into shape around them. The streaks became curves, the curves twisted into arches, and those arches shaped themselves into form.

Moiraine looked ahead and said, "Welcome to the Goldfolds."

Goldfolds!

The Goldfolds were like a paradoxical dream layered over another dream. They stretched across the horizon like a mystical empire. Dozens of multicolored Living Wheels of Existence hovered in the periphery, their surfaces spinning like vast engines churning in rhythm.

Their size was not actualized as the Wheels seemed purposefully made small.

Altered by design.

Each wheel trailed multicolored auroras that gathered into vast rivers of light.

These rivers flowed toward a central citadel- a towering structure that seemed forged from the Frequencies of Wheels themselves. It rose like a throne carved for giants, built from radiant structures that pulsed in time with the weavings of Paradox. The ground beneath them was not solid but rather formed from layers of interwoven Frequencies that had collapsed into something unfathomably real.

Spikes of crystalline paradox jutted up here and there. Some rotated slowly. Others moved with intent. The entire expanse shimmered with power.

The power of Living Paradoxes flowed like air here. Thick. Endless. Alive.

He closed his eyes and allowed the density of this new place to wash over him. His Living Wheel spun a little faster as complexity rose. Purity hummed! He...had crossed into a place where the impossible reigned!

And he stood to benefit tremendously depending on how he played things!
