Inheritor Of Magic: The Magi King

Chapter 1060 The Gift of Knowledge

Chapter 1060: 1060 The Gift of Knowledge

There was nothing that Wolfe wanted more at that moment than to just go sit somewhere and take in all the new information that he had gained, but first, they had an entire room full of Royals to entertain.

That shouldn’t be too hard, as they were happy to entertain themselves as they got to know all the new Saints in the room, and what they liked.

The early arrival of the Fae representatives actually made their task easier, as now that the formal part of the process was done, the Magic King had quickly gathered both Fae Royals and led them away to where he was working with the others to tell stories of the new Saints and see if they could come up with good nicknames for them.

The only ones that had stuck so far were Saint Fluffy and the Trickster, which is what everyone had decided to call Stephanie.

It was not a problem for them to realize that she was a Saint Rank witch, and not a cat of any sort, but she preferred not to change back, as the last time she had transformed she returned to the childish body that the Divine One had transformed her human body to.

There was a chance that one of the Kings could undo it, but that would involve asking for a Favour, and she wasn’t willing to do that just to alter her unused human appearance.

But such a concern was foreign to the Demon Royals and the Fae, so they had all assumed that it was just a long-running gag that she preferred to be a cat, so people didn’t ask her dumb questions.

Wolfe knew that they weren’t really wrong. She could disguise herself as an adult Stephanie if she wanted to, but she preferred to be a cat.

The others hadn’t really stood out so far in the eyes of the Royals. Only once stories of the Saints made it back to them would they start to consider nicknames for them.

They were a bit annoyed that the Pentacle Bond hadn’t been used on the Succubi, despite the fact that it didn’t benefit them in the same way that it did others. If they had made Rail a Saint, it would have been easier to get a third name chosen.

Even though it wasn’t official, as she wasn’t a Saint, all of the Royals called Rail ’The Secretary’. It annoyed the Succubus to no end.

She was not and had never been a secretary. She was a chief investigator, a highly ranked law enforcement official, not a secretary before she joined with Wolfe.

Technically, she still held the position, but it was her fashion sense, with the skirt and blazer, that made everyone associate her with a Succubus Secretary.

But very few Saints were actually pleased with the title they got, as it reflected the way that others saw them, the things that others remembered about them, not how they would like themselves to be perceived.

Even Wolfe’s official title hadn’t been agreed upon. He was known for a number of things, and he had shown enough proficiency with multiple elements that normally he could have claimed a title based on either Lightning or Unholy Magic, but neither of those was viewed as his defining trait.

Some called him the Magi Warrior, due to the irony of a Magi not being a pacifist. Or the Snow Demon, as the name made them laugh, or simply Mister Wolfe, which was what most of the city called him.

“What do you think, King Drider, what is the best name for him?” Queen Jasmine asked.

She was firmly in the “Snow Demon” camp, as it was the most warrior focused nickname of them all, and she was the Queen of all Wrath Demons. It almost made him feel like one of her people.

Drider shrugged. “I don’t think that it matters. By the time that we finish arguing about who has the best name for Mister Wolfe, he will already be the Magi King.”

“You really think that it will be that easy for him to become a King?” King David asked, giving the Dark Elf the benefit of the doubt.

They had never known him to be wrong, but his sense of time was a little wonky at times. They might spend a century arguing about Wolfe’s title, or they could settle it in three days, and in either case, it could be after he became a King if King Drider foresaw it.

“The Magi King. I like it. It’s simple, descriptive, and so out of character for the Magi that we all know that it actually works as a title.” Queen Victoria noted.

“I agree. Being responsible for things outside their own Family always seemed like too much trouble to the Magi, but this one is different. I wonder if that trait is going to continue, or if the others who have awakened will go into seclusion with their consorts to live a peaceful life out of the public eye?” King Memo asked.

The Magic King scoffed. “I say we call him the King of Chaos. You know he’s earned it.”

King Leandro’s giggle drew the attention of most of the room as the Incubus King’s magic slipped a little. “King Of Chaos, Lover of Ladies, Harem King of the Magi Clans, Hero of the Beastkin.”

Cassie and Ella turned to glare at Wolfe at the same time. “Don’t even think of it. We’re not letting you take all that as a title.”

“It’s pretty catchy, though.” Wolfe chuckled.

“You’ve had your fun, go away and check out your new knowledge crystal. We will take care of the guests on your behalf.” Cassie insisted.

“Well, I suppose that I can do that. Be sure to give my regards to everyone so they don’t think that I’m a poor or inconsiderate host.”

Cassie shooed him out of the room while the Royals laughed. If they had more leisure time, they would stay here just for the entertainment value. Perhaps they could get a viewing spell put on the city so they could get a soap opera to go with the survival reality show from the time loop.
