Kyran pushed his thoughts to the back of his mind and frowned when he saw the two ladies about to leave the chamber.

"You're not really serious about going out there to heal the wounded, right?" He called out to them before Stella could fully activate the teleportation array.

With a slight pout, Cyneah turned toward the direction where she sensed where Kyran was standing, then she said, "Why can't I?"

Instead of answering Kyran looked at Stella again.

"What did you tell her exactly?"

This time, he did not bother to talk to her telepathically. If Cyneah was aware of the situation, then there was no point in keeping it from her.

"As I told you, what she needs to know," Stella replied with a smile.

"She told me the things you kept from me," Cyneah chimed in, sounding a little indignant.

Kyran sighed, "Can you just tell me the specifics? I don't read minds."

"Oh, but you were just talking to me telepathically and you were able to reply to me because you were able to read-."

"Hearing thoughts is different from reading someone else's mind. And can you stop changing the subject?" Kyran's patience were running thin with these two not cooperating with him.

It was as if they could not sense how pressed for time they were at.

"Neah," Kyran turned to Cyneah and said, "The enemies are still waiting around the corner. We managed to get a respite but we don't know until when. Once they start to move, who knows what kind of tricks they prepared just to capture you."

"I know," Cyneah replied, sounding forlorn. "That's why I want to heal the wounded at least before they make a move."

"Healing them is good and all, but did it occur to you what these people will feel if they see you?"

As soon as Kyran pointed this out, Cyneah looked crestfallen.

Seeing her expression, Stella could not help but let out a forlorn sigh.

Even without Stella saying anything, Cyneah had already known how much she 'looked' similar to the Crown Princess.

No.

Truth be told, Cyneah was convinced she was the Crown Princess and might even be her essence.

Stella had already confirmed that Cyneah was not an essence but the original body after learning her eyes- which represented her Soul magic- was taken from her.

Stella immediately recognized that Cyneah's 'blindness' was White Lily's handiwork.

In the Ancient times, Spirits were one of the known keeper of balance in the Higher Realm. However, because of their mischievousness there were those who found them a nuissance. Thus, after the incident they called the Great Fall, the Spirits were forced to go down the Lower Realm and find a new plane to live in.

Fortunately, they found a 'free' plane and managed to coexist with the natives there. Unfortunately, when the War of the Sovereigns started, that plane was one of the first that got destroyed.

But that was not the point here. Basically, the Spirits were originally from the Higher Realm and also one of the Keepers of Balance.

Because of this, they had great knowledge that only in the Higher Realm would know.

Of course, those knowledge was only available to the Spirits' Royalty- in this case, White Lily.

And one of the knowledge she knew was removing one's magic.

Nevertheless, there were certain things that had to be done when doing this. Thus, she could not freely remove another mage's magic.

White Lily paid a price for removing Cyneah's 'magic'- in this case, her eyes- and used those eyes to create an essence.

It was because of this that Cyneah did not possess a magic core, while Haylee had one. To be accurate, Haylee was originally a magic core.

Stella was able to confirm this and told Cyneah the truth. However, knowing she was the original did not make her happy. On the contrary, she felt more dejectedly.

After all, Cyneah was already aware of the things that Haylee had done and was still doing. How could she be happy?

Seeing Cyneah's dejected look, Kyran could not help but scratch the back of his ear uneasily. He did not mean to make her feel sad, but he had to remind her how her appearance might not have a good impact to the members of the Conclave and the Army with them.

None of them knew about Cyneah's existence, after all. The Conclave council members were not even aware of it- apart from Malia, that is.please visit panda-:)ɴᴏᴠᴇ1.co)m

"I..." Cyneah started after a moment of hesitation. "I only want to help. I don't want to feel... useless."

"You're not," Kyran assured her at once.

Cyneah smiled bitterly at him, and said "You're a terrible liar, Nar. Apart from healing, what use am I?"

Kyran did not reply. He could not.

Not because he did not have a come back to her question, but because if he replied, he would sound tacky.

Seeing his uneasiness, Stella could not help but giggle. It was strange how she found this two annoying yet loving at the same time.

To change the depressing mood, Stella clapped her hands and said, "Alright, that is enough."

She turned to Cyneah and said, "Ky- Nar is right. But he is also wrong."

Before Kyran could refute her, she continued, "He is right about others seeing you is not a good idea, but he is also wrong because, its not like I don't know that and plan to take you to heal them directly."

Stella smiled at Kyran then and added, "I'll take her first to Malia and we can setup an area where she can use her magic and heal the others without appearing in person. Is that good enough?"

"If that's the case... Yes, that's acceptable," Kyran replied slowly. However, the frown on his face did not straighten meaning he was still uneasy about it.

In the end, when he saw Cyneah's expectant expression, he could only agree.

With that settled, the three went to meet Malia.

Malia was currently in one of the empty chambers in the main tower and was tending at Hugh's injuries.

The moment they appeared, Malia was slightly taken aback, while Avrum who had just arrived to assist Malia in healing Hugh, was frightened out if his wits.

Since Kyran could not be bothered to explain Cyneah's origin, Stella only placed a finger on her lips when she looked at Avrum.

Seeing Stella's gesture, Avrum snapped out of his frightened state and nodded his head in understanding.

After that, Cyneah easily healed Hugh's injuries. What was more, Avrum and Malia felt their own injuries healed and their exhaustion removed.

It was such a marvelous feeling.

Kyran was also surprised at how much Cyneah's healing ability had improved. He might have been away for five years but technically, he had only been away a few months. And in that span of time, Cyneah's healing ability had actually improved by leaps and bounds.

While Kyran had experienced Cyneah's healing just a few weeks ago, she was only focusing on him so he did not notice her improvement. Now that there were more than one person inside, it was more evident.

After only a few minutes, Hugh's condition had improved a lot. His complexion was no longer pale and even his natural magic energy replenishing ability had improved.

Soon, Hugh's eyes fluttered and he regained consciousness.

To everyone's surprise, as soon as he had woken up, he looked at Cyneah with a smile and said, "Thank you."

It was as if he had known it had been her healing him all this time.

Cyneah smiled as well. Although she could not see Hugh's expression, she felt his emotions and was relieved.

Seeing Cyneah smile, any reservation Kyran had about letting her meet with other people was instantly removed.

ραпdα Йᴏνê|(сòm) However, that did not mean he already agree to letting her stay with them.

For now, he would let her do what she wanted then he would take her with him. Of course, if time would allow them, he would take her back to the cottage first. But since they were already pressed for time, he could only bring her with him.

While Stella discussed with Malia and Avrum how they could let Cyneah help in healing the other wounded members, Kyran and Hugh left to meet with Vaness and Emery.

Before Kyran left, he first reminded Cyneah of the necklace he gave her and exhorted her to call him if anything happens.

Hearing Kyran, Stella could not help but roll her eyes at his overprotectiveness. But she did not voice it in case Malia, Avrum and Hugh misinterpreted her words.

Kyran and Hugh met with Vaness and Emery and made preparations for the next wave of attack that the enemies might do. They did not have much mwmbers who were capable in fighting but that was alright. Kyran only had to focus on repairing the array and make it anew before they attacked again.
