Following Obstruction's entrapment, Tritus unleashed a series of offensives.

However, no matter what kind of attack Tritus did, he could not land a direct hit on Obstruction.

Obstruction looked at Tritus. He was surprised that a Legendary managed to trap him. His level might have been suppressed, but unlike most Sovereigns whose level dropped at least two levels after entering a plane, Obstruction's level would only drop by one. Thus, his level still exceeded Tritus's.

Because of his level advantage, Obstruction was confident no one could trap him.

Alas, how wrong he had been!

Obstruction felt ashamed of falling into a trap. Nevertheless, his situation was not a complete disgrace. Because though he could not use magic inside the Water Cage, Tritus's attacks could not harm him either!

Meanwhile, Kyran stopped paying attention to their exchange after warning Tritus because another chain, which pierced the obelisk above, shattered.

Now, there was only one chain left intact. True Void finally left his temporary body.

The shape-shifting plates in midair fell to the ground as soon as True Void left it.

Seeing this, Kyran released minimal Void magic energy to attract the plates.

As soon as his magic energy entered the shape-shifting plates, they flew toward him, turning into shoulder armor that merged into his armor.

At the same time, when Layla saw the second chain had shattered, her expression darkened. Still, she did not despair because her people had also completed the rest of the arrays outside the estate!

Several pillars of light surged into the sky as Layla let Ane and Soll fully activate the array.

The Regis Estate trembled as the pillars of light released an overbearing momentum that bore down into the land.

In an instant, several cracks appeared on the veil.

Of course, these cracks were not caused by the array outside alone.

Obstruction's space distortion earlier had left a large enough crack on the veil's surface, which allowed Layla to rouse a bit of her magic again.

When Tritus trapped Obstruction in the Water Cage, Layla had the choice of helping the latter escape from it. But she did not do anything because she knew it was unnecessary.

Obstruction's ability practically made him invincible against attacks.

But that was not the only reason.

Layla knew Obstruction still had something up his sleeves. After all, the black plates were still hovering close to the veil's crack.

Normally, magic items would have been deactivated if they lost connection with their owner. But since it was still active, it meant Obstruction still had access to them.

Now that Layla thought of it, some magic items did not require magic energy to activate. Obviously, Obstruction's black plates were such magic items.

Because of this, Layla no longer paid attention to Obstruction's situation and instead focused on destroying the veil.

At one of the Key locations of the Grand Array, Cade looked at the cracks on the surface of the veil and scowled.

Their enemy's move was truly timely!

Just a few more minutes, and they were done with the Grand Array. Why could they not stay put until then?

Then again, he could not expect their enemy to just watch them complete the Grand Array without doing anything.

'Jared, Kyran,' Cade called to Jared and Kyran telepathically. He started, 'We only need less than half an hour to complete the Grand Array.'

Jared and Kyran perked after hearing Cade's voice.

'The Soul Emperor's forces are already waiting outside the estate. Once the veil shatters, she will likely disrupt the completion of the Grand Array.'

Kyran frowned.

'Father, I have people outside intercepting some of her forces.'

'Yes,' Cade replied with a slight smile. 'However, those are only cannon fodders. Her real forces are gathered a few hundred meters— at least, three hundred meters from the estate, to be exact— and they are already preparing.'

Kyran's eyes widened in disbelief. Three hundred meters was considered too far when an army planned to charge into a place. Thus, Kyran only focused on having his side patrol around a hundred meters outside the estate's periphery.

To be honest, a hundred meter distance could still be considered too far. However, if they utilized transportation arrays, which focused on small quantity and distance transit, it was more than enough.

'Are they planning to use transmission arrays?' Jared asked, also in disbelief.

Just like Kyran, he also believed three hundred meters was too far. The only thing they could make a charge was if they used transmission arrays because these arrays focused on large quantity and longer distance transit.

However, creating the connecting array of a transmission array was far more complicated than a transportation array. This was the reason the Royal Family- or, to be precise- most forces in the empire, could only create transportation arrays.

The only ones who were able to create transmission arrays were the Regis Clan, and the Conclave.

As a matter of fact, the only reason the Conclave knew how to create transmission arrays were because of their good relationship with the Regis Clan.

Anyhow, it was true the Royal Family had a few transmission arrays. However, those were old ones that had been created by the Regis Family , when they were still in good terms with the Winfrey Family.

Nevertheless, these arrays had long been sealed and their connecting arrays had long been destroyed.

So how were they planning on charging the estate?

'How they plan to charge the estate is not the main thing we have to consider at this moment,' Cade told them as if reading Jared's thoughts.

Jared grimaced at the thought of Cade reading his mind.

'Ugh... don't do that Cade. You're making me nervous whenever you comment on something that I have only thought of!'

Cade only smiled wryly at Jared's remark. Still thinking about their situation, he continued.

'That Sovereign with the Soul Emperor tried to leave the veil just now.'

Kyran agreed and commented, 'The crack on the veil's surface, that's definitely that woman's doing.'

'That's right,' Cade nodded. 'Judging the situation based on that, we can confirm that the Sovereign with her likely proposed a plan, which she agreed that is why she did what she can to help him leave the veil.'

Kyran narrowed his eyes. The first thing that came to his mind was Obstruction offered to destroy the veil as soon as he escaped. Then he would use his magic to transport her people into the estate, which would answer Jared's question: 'how they planned to charge into the estate at that distance.'

But then, Kyran thought of how his Sigils failed to find connecting arrays in the areas where they found some of Layla's forces.

As if Kyran finally found a missing puzzle piece, the picture he could not seem to envision clearly finally appeared in his mind's eye.

'No...!' Kyran blurted in his mind.

Cade's expression turned solemn as he heard Kyran exclaim.

'W-What is it this time? You two will really give me a heart attack one of these days!' Jared complained.

Unlike Cade and Kyran, Jared could not read that far of a situation. Because of this, he did not think he was suitable to be a leader.

'That's right,' Cade voiced his agreement to Kyran's unspoken suspicion.

'What's right?' Jared demanded in confusion. 'Could you two not speak in riddles?'

'Sorry,' Kyran apologized and explained briefly his initial suspicion about what Obstruction might have offered Layla.

Hearing Kyran's reasoning, Jared could not help but agree.

With Obstruction's Space Magic, he could truly transport hundreds of thousands of people in one move.

'But that is not the case,' Kyran added after explaining his initial suspicion.

'What?' Jared exclaimed in disbelief. 'You mean he has a different plan?'

Kyran nodded, 'Yes.'

He then explained how his people could not find the connecting arrays had something to do with why he believed his initial suspicion was a no.

If Obstruction had only offered to use his Space Magic to assist Layla, then why were those connecting arrays not present?

The answer was simple, Layla already had a way to charge into the estate without needing Obstruction's help. If this was the case, then why was Obstruction so eager to leave the veil, and Layla even helped him?

'You're on the right track,' Cade agreed. 'Obstruction did not offer to help the Soul Emperor transport her people but is planning to ask for assistance outside.

'If I am correct,' Cade continued, his expression darkening. 'He plans on calling for another Sovereign outside the plane.'

'Wait!' Jared could not help but frown after hearing Cade.

'If what you're saying is correct. Then don't you think it is futile? A new Sovereign had just appeared on the Human plane, so it would be hard for him to return, right? How can he bring another one in?'

Jared's reasoning was sound.

Nevertheless, Cade and Kyran were already expecting the worse.

'You're right, uncle,' Kyran agreed. 'However, if you think that way. Don't you think Obstruction also considered it? If he still insisted on going, then that means, he has a way in coming back.'
