Under the shade of the tree, Raven stood still with a calm gaze, his eyes fixed on the walking people of Black Moon City.
Some were walking hurriedly, probably to reach their destination in time, some were just casually strolling, while others were simply enjoying their time together.
Everything looked so peaceful that if it were not for some of them having inhuman appearances or simply flying in the air with the help of unique beasts, Raven would have thought in the past three years nothing happened at all.
Of course, these thoughts were only secondary and while Raven was happy to see peace once again after The Great Change, his mind actually was somewhere else.
Misfortune...
Just like luck, misfortune, or to say it simply, bad luck, was a force that no one could affect much less manipulate to one's will. However, after finding out how he could manipulate others through his Luck Enhancement during battles, a seed was planted within Raven's head.
What if, just like how he could increase the probability of something happening, which from others' point of view looked as if luck appeared, he could also increase the chances of misfortune occurring through which he could generate Luck Energy?
No, it was not 'what if'. Raven knew he could do it. The only problem was that...
----------------
• Current Chances for misfortune happening to you: 0.5% (Max: 20%)
• Available Luck Energy to manipulate: 97%
• Needed Mystique to activate Luck Enhancement: 98,000 units
<Not possible!>
----------------
'Too much Mystique needed.'
A soft frown appeared on Raven's calm face before realization flashed through his eyes.
'Why did I even think this way? Of course this way it won't work at all.'
With those words in mind, Raven pushed himself away from the tree and began to walk toward the city. And as he did, a pair of crimson eyes appeared within his shadow which was followed by a calm voice.
"I thought you will never move."
Naturally, that voice belonged to Astra who possessed the ability to hide in shadows, which obviously included Raven's.
While still walking and without glancing at his shadow, Raven replied with indifference;
"I was just thinking, that's all."
"I see..." Astra hummed quietly and after a few seconds of silence she asked, "About your bloo-"
"As we have agreed, I will decide on when and how much I will give you. And for now, I will not give you any.'
'A sort of punishment you deserve after trying to kill me." Raven added silently.
'...'
Astra stared silently at Raven from his shadow and after letting out an unhappy groan like that of a child who had been grounded by her parents, she sunk deeper into the shadow, her crimson eyes vanishing as a result.
As for Raven, he just kept walking toward the city with indifference, not caring at all what Astra was thinking. After all, if she would have kept her promise he would have helped her break the seal on her body.
'Convicts with sealed powers either escaped or killed, a never-ending war between Gods, destroyed worlds... And here I thought things couldn't become even more complicated than they already are.'
With a heavy sigh, Raven entered Black Moon City and after reaching a crossroad he stopped in a way where he didn't see who came from the right.
'Well, whatever... I first should concentrate on this one.'
And with that in mind, Raven flicked his finger.
Whoosh!
----------------
• Current Chances of getting hit by something from the right: 78% (Max: 100%)
• Available Luck Energy to manipulate: 97%
• Needed Mystique to activate Luck Enhancement: 22,000 units
----------------
'Hmm...'
Raven hummed silently and after pondering for a few seconds he decided to use 2% Luck Energy before taking a step forward.
And right as he emerged from behind the corner...
"W-Watch out!"
Although expecting such a thing to happen, Raven still was surprised by how fast things happened and had no time at all to react.
Bam!
With a wry smile, Raven watched helplessly as a young woman on her hovering vehicle slammed into him and sent his body flying a few meters.
"Oh my God! I-I am so sorry! Are you okay!?" jumping out of her vehicle, the young woman ran beside Raven and looked at her with a pale face.
Raven, who was lying on the ground as of he was dead opened his eyes weakly and let out a pained groan.
[Your Luck Energy had been boosted by 10%!]
Ignoring the panel floating before his fave, Raven looked at the young woman and showed a weak smile as he pushed himself up from the ground.
"I'm fine, you don't have to worry."
"B-But... I..." the woman looked speechless, not expecting such a reaction from Raven.
Raven, of course, knowing her thoughts just shook his head and said reassuringly, "As I have said, I'm really fine."
The young woman opened her mouth to say something, but once he looked into Raven's golden eyes she blushed and nodded.
"Still, I should be responsible for my actions. Here, at least please accept this as my apology."
In the young woman's hand, what Raven could see was a small bottle filled with a goldish liquid.
'Avatar Flask? No, that does not look like this. Then what it is?'
Raven pondered silently as he accept the bottle. However, the moment he grabbed the bottle, no panel popped up in his line of sight, further deepening his confusion.
"Umm... Excuse me, but what is this bottle?"
"Huh?" the young woman tilted her head to the side before she asked, "The bottle? That is the new invention of the Scarlet Family, a Recovery Potion. It can recover a thousand units of Mystique in less than 30 seconds!"
"Oh?" awe flashed through Raven's eyes for a second before he nodded and thanked the young woman for explaining.
'Recovery Potion, huh?'
Looking at the bottle in his hand, Raven thought for a while before he took out his phone and logged in to the Star Treasury's online server, now with a normal profile.
Then, he quickly typed in 'Recovery Potion', and sure enough, once he pressed enter, over a thousand hits appeared.
'Recovery Potion for Mystique, Recovery Potion for Vitality, and Recovery Potion for Constitution. And each has different effects? How interesting.'
It seemed the Scarlet Family, one of the five Realm Families created something that would definitely renovate the way people fought within Realm Games and Realm Domains.
These potions were literally akin to life-saving items, ones that during a fierce battle could easily determine which side fell and which side rose.
'I should buy a few. Especially because of how much Mystique my Luck Enhancement requires every time I use it, this will be a great boon to me.'
And with that in mind, Raven didn't even hesitate to buy the 100 best Recovery Potions for Mystique, which recovered 5,000 units of Mystique over 1 minute!
'Now then, I wonder how the auction for that item goes so far.' Raven pondered and checked the progress of his auctioned item.
However, the moment he pressed enter and saw scrolled a little down, he almost choked on his saliva.
[Current Bid: 926,900,000 Novas]
"This... is just ridiculous..."
He could clearly remember how just a day and a half ago the numbers were way smaller, yet, under such a short period, they increased so much!
And there still were over three days remaining!
Just how much wealth will he be able to gain from selling a single item? A billion? Two? Three? Or even more than that? The mere thought of him swimming in an almost endless amount of Novas made Raven feel the urge to clench his fingers into a tight fist and punch the air.
'Now this is what I like to see.'
With a satisfied grin on his face, Raven glanced around and after a while decided to keep using his Luck Enhancement.
After all, that way not only can he increase his Luck Energy, but thanks to his fourth Avatar Imprint he will be able to gain other benefits, just like how he did a few moments ago.

"C-Carful! You will-"
"Ah!"
Bam!
The sound of someone crying out in fright resounded in the air before it was followed by something falling heavily on the ground together with other things that shattered as a result.
"S-Sir? Are you alright? Oh, dear God... His... His arm is bleeding." a woman wearing a stylish waitress dress gasped and paled in panic as she stared at the young individual on the floor.
"Don't just stand there! Bring out the first aid kit, now!" an old man wearing a cooking dress ran out of the restaurant a second later, his face holding various emotions such as anger, fear, and anxiety.
"Y-Yes, Sir!" the young woman flinched scarcely and was ready to run back into the building as told when the young individual on the ground, surrounded by shattered glass and splattered food, stopped her.
"It's okay, I'm fine. This is nothing but a scratch."
Pushing himself up from the ground, Raven looked at his bleeding arm before he sighed and glanced at the panel floating beside him.
