Chapter 4544 What to do
Yue'er's eyes widened, her innocent gaze filled with shock. "Big Brother," she pouted, "She's scolding us!"
"Ignore her," Hao'er replied, glancing disdainfully at the man with the bloody nose. "Mad dogs always bark." He turned to Seventeen and Muchen. "Let's go." He tossed the broom at the Apprentice and took Yue'er's hand, heading for the exit.
As they stepped towards the door, the man, now wiping his nose, lunged at Hao'er's back. "You think you can just walk away?" He snarled, swinging a fist.
"Watch out!" The apprentice cried, fearing for the young boy.
Sensing the attack, Hao'er's eyes narrowed. He swiftly turned, grabbing the man's wrist and bending it sharply downwards. Simultaneously, he delivered a precise kick to the man's chin. He spun in mid-air, landing gracefully as the sickening crack of bone and a scream echoed through the hall. The man crashed to the floor.
"Brother!" the girl shrieked, rushing to his side. She stared at Hao'er, her face a mask of disbelief. "You… you…"
Blood started gushing out from that man's mouth, his jaw throbbing, and his hands uselessly twitching. He couldn't even lift them.
The apprentice, broom still in hand, stood frozen. Doctor Feng, who had come to investigate the commotion, was equally stunned.
Seventeen and Muchen stood beside Hao'er, who looked at the fallen man with cold detachment. "This is a lesson," Hao'er said, his voice sharp. "Attack us again, and I'll make sure you can't use your hand ever."
No one intervened as the three children, flanked by their guard, walked away. Only after they had left did a deep, authoritative voice break the silence, snapping Doctor Feng back to reality.
"Prepare a carriage to take this Young Master home."
The apprentice and Doctor Feng turned to see a middle-aged man in rich brocade standing at the top of the stairs. They bowed respectfully.
"Chen Family."
After bowing, the apprentice hurried to help the injured man and then went to find a carriage to send the injured man back.
Once outside Rejuvenating Hall, Seventeen asked, "Young Master, shall we return or go elsewhere?"
"Let's get dessert at the shop down the street," Hao'er suggested, turning to Muchen and Yue'er. "We'll have some treats before going back. Anything else you'd like to eat? Big Brother will take you."
The younger children shook their heads. "Big Brother," Yue'er asked, "The doctor said we're not sick. Does that mean we're really fine and not sick?"
"Yes, if the doctor said so, you're fine. Don't worry," Hao'er reassured them.
They paused, then Yue'er asked, "Big Brother, we hurt that man. Will he cause trouble? What if he brings more people, and we can't win?"
