Chapter 1021: Going Over Changes (2)

Ding!

Clenching his fists as he waited for the system to respond, Valyr's expression turned into that of excitement once a screen containing the description of his new race appeared before him.

Though, as he began to go through the specifics of his race in greater detail, the excitement on his face gradually disappeared.

Instead, it was replaced with immense disbelief.

[Prime Azure Origin | True Defier of Fate (4th Unsealing)] (Species)

The being named Valyr Zeihardt has been recognized by the Apparatus for bringing the energy termed as Prime Azure Energy into existence, being a superior version of the energy termed as Azure Energy brought into existence by the Azure Origin, Sellifer Dusk Veiperis.

The being named Valyr Zeihardt has also been recognized by the Apparatus for bringing the concept known as the Four Azure Paths into existence, combining the inherent concept forming Azure Energy, as well as the universal concept of the Four Elements.

Though it could be considered that the being's feats came to existence only due to the foundations others have laid before him, the Apparatus recognizes the potential the being has, deeming him worthy of becoming an Origin.

...

From the name of the species itself, those recognized by the system as an Origin are those who've brought something that didn't previously exist in the universe into existence.

Of course, not all can become an Origin, with there being a specific set of criteria a being must fulfill before they could be considered one.

However, if there's one criterion that all potential Origins need to fulfill to become one, it's the fact that the thing they've brought into existence should bring great change to the universe.

Origins come in various shapes and sizes, with them mostly inheriting the properties of their previous race before being upgraded to a level higher to showcase the power of an Origin.

Aside from that, Origins show great power over the thing they've brought into existence, which is a trait that could be inherited by those that become part of the race that descended from the Origin.

As your previous race was that of a Reforged High Human, your Origin has inherited its properties and upgraded it by one level, currently allowing you to exhibit the properties of a Reforged Pseudo-True Human.

As your previous race was embarking on the path of Unsealing, your Origin has also inherited this property, allowing you to continue where you left off on the path of Unsealing.

By the time he was done reading through the description of his new race, Valyr went silent for

a bit as he gave his mind the time it needed to organize and process the information he just

read.

Then, feeling like he'd gotten a good grasp of what his new race was, Valyr soon stood up in excitement, clenching his fists as he began to laugh with immense glee.

Though he was slightly hesitant back then to choose his current race even though it was the system's first choice, it was at this moment did it sink into Valyr that he would've missed out on a lot if he'd made a different choice.

Aside from the fact that all of the passives that made the Reforged High Human race great were taken up a notch after becoming a Prime Azure Origin, becoming a Prime Azure Origin also made him privy to information that wasn't easily obtained.

"So, that's what the system meant by Sellifer being the Azure Origin," muttered the young man to himself, nodding as he went over the information the system gave him. "Now it all

makes sense."

With him now being a Prime Azure Origin, Valyr now had a greater idea of why he'd been given the choice of becoming either a Divine Azure Serpent or a True Azure Serpent.

"In short, to become the descendant of an Origin, one must first wield the energy or the concept that created the Origin in the first place," said Valyr to himself, allowing his thoughts to roam as he nodded in understanding.

"If that's the case, then becoming the descendant of my Origin would only be possible if someone picks up Prime Azure Energy."

"Yeah... I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon." Valyr wryly smiled at the thought. "In any case, what would the descendants of my Origin be called? Since my race before becoming an Origin is that of a Reforged High Human, would that mean those who end up becoming my descendants would be Reforged High Humans as well?"

Though there were multiple questions lingering in Valyr's mind regarding the Origin, the young man decided to push those thoughts to the side for the meantime, deciding to interpret the entire thing as something beneficial.

Making up his mind to find out the various limits of his current race in greater detail later on,

Valyr took a look at his status screen after that, only to be at a loss for words as he refreshed

his understanding of his current level of strength.

"...And to think I don't even have my armor equipped yet." Giving himself all the time he needed for the information before him to fully sink in his mind, Valyr let out a long exhale as his eyes soon began to glisten with excitement.

Seeing how much his strength had improved just from ascending to the next class rank, a

whirlwind of thoughts soon occupied Valyr's mind, all of them ideas that involved making use

of his improved strength.

In the end, the young man put those thoughts on hold for the meantime, instead choosing to follow through with the thought that seemed the most obvious for him to do first.

With the thought in mind, Valyr slightly trembled in anticipation as he sent a command to the

system.
