MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1316: Bonding with the Gang (1)

Though the three were still greatly exhausted after continuously running from the village to the clearing they were currently in, it was as if all of that exhaustion had been washed away in an instant once they laid their eyes upon the items Valyr brought out.

Not only did the young man bring out three sets of armor that looked tailor-made for each of them, but he also brought out three weapons that suited their specific play styles and classes, as well as multiple sets of vials filled with red and dark blue fluid.

"I’m sure I don’t need to go into detail over the equipment." Now that he was finally able to show them why they had to set some of their money aside, Valyr looked at them with a slight smile, feeling excited over the thought of his preparations not going to waste.

"Although it took me a bit longer than I’d admit to prepare, while the three of you were off sleeping, I went ahead and bought three armor sets that would benefit the future classes you’d select."

"Of course, no armor set is complete without a matching weapon," continued the man as he briefly pointed at the weapons. "So, I procured them as well, making sure that the skills they had greatly synergized."

Feeling reinvigorated by those words, Thomas was the first among the three of them to get up.

Looking at the sets of armor and weapons that Valyr had prepared for them, the man gave him a nod of gratitude before taking a look at the equipment in greater detail.

Having taken the opportunity to buy [Analysis] in the past while Valyr was doing something else, Thomas was able to go through the descriptions and stats of the armor sets the young man gave them.

"…Huh." With that, it did not take him too long to find the armor set his friend had procured for him.

"This would be for me, then?"

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Double checking to see if the armor set’s stats aligned with his current build, Thomas went ahead and donned the armor set that was bulkiest out of the three, causing him to give off a slightly imposing aura by the time he equipped the last piece.

Initially thinking that it would be difficult for him to move with such bulky armor on, the man was instead surprised to find out that his movements were pretty much the same. If anything, the bulky armor he wore made his movements look cooler than before.

Feeling greater strength course through his body with the armor set on, he then went ahead and grabbed the weapon that seemed most fitting for his current look.

A massive dark-bladed war axe.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

With the weapon further boosting his strength the moment he grasped it, Thomas showed no hesitation in swinging it around as each swing generated a gust of wind.

Swinging it a bit more after that, the man eventually dropped the war axe on the ground as he looked at Valyr with both excitement and further gratitude. ℟Ã𐌽օBƐŠ

"How did you know that I was going to try and become a berserker beforehand?" asked the man after the excitement of swinging the war axe around died down. "Pretty sure I didn’t say anything to you about that."

"You definitely didn’t say anything." Valyr nodded in agreement, only to grin back at the man soon after. "But how you distributed your stats definitely made it obvious."

"Speaking of stats…" As these words left his mouth, the young man looked at the sibling duo. "I’ve got a feeling that Meria’s planning to be a ranger, while Lucques is planning to become a healer."

"Is that right?"

"Yeah…" said Meria as she nodded, feeling a hint of fear at how Valyr read her thoughts that easily. Though, with how he told them earlier that he looked at Thomas’ stats to get the armor set that fit them, that fear immediately disappeared.

"Not quite." On the other hand, while Meria looked at the young man with a mix of shock and fear, Lucques gave him a knowing smile. "I do plan on to pick up a couple of healing skills for emergencies, but that’s not what I plan on focusing on."

"…Ah." Surprisingly, those words were enough for Valyr to understand what Lucques meant by that. "You’re gonna do something similar to what you did in the last game we played?"

"Exactly." Lucques grinned at those words. "Imagine being able to heal, cast buffs and debuffs, and attack at the same time. It feels a bit exhilarating, don’t you think?"

"Honestly, I don’t even know how you can even juggle them at the same time, Lucques," said Meria, making her way to the armor set Valyr pointed out for her.

"Plus, I’m not even sure if playing as a red mage would turn out the way you think it would."

"It would turn out even better than what you’d think, actually," replied Valyr, finding Meria’s words a bit amusing.

"To be honest, red mages are considered by many to be the best type of mage in Greater Beyond. If anything, the only problem red mages have here is the fact that you’d need to spend a lot more time maxing out your skills."

"And where did you get that information?" asked Meria in return whilst Lucques celebrated over Valyr’s information.

"I have my sources," said the young man in response, vaguely hinting to her that it was a similar case to the beauty elixir recipe.

Fortunately, the young woman was able to pick that hint up, prompting her to move away from the topic as she and Lucques equipped the items the young man procured for them.

Naturally, the two also felt their strengths undergo a massive increase because of the armor set, which gave them the urge to try out their weapons like Thomas did.

By the time the two were finished adjusting to the greater reserves of strength their items gave them, the three looked at Valyr with curiosity as one of them pointed towards the vials that had been left untouched.

"What are those?"

"Those are what you call Reinforcement Elixirs," answered Valyr, giving them a brief explanation on what they’re capable of. "Since the three of you have yet to pick a class, the only type of Reinforcement Elixir you’re allowed to consume is the basic version."

"Nevertheless, completing both sets before ascending greatly increases and improves the choices you have for your future classes."

"Reinforcement Elixirs, huh." Hearing that their stats would go up after consuming the elixirs, the three showed no hesitation in grabbing the vials before downing them in one gulp.

"Keep in mind that the three of you can only consume 10 of each type before the elixirs don’t take effect anymore," said the young man, only for a smile to creep up on the edge of his lips as he noticed the three freeze up due to the effects of the elixir.

Getting the feeling that it would take the three some time to consume the two sets of Basic Reinforcement Elixirs, the young man went ahead and brought out the two sets of skill books he bought from his spatial bracelet.

’I suppose I should make the most out of my time as well.’
