Chapter 911 One Man Production Line

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

In less than an instant, five pairs of translucent arms appeared around him.

A pair of those arms were attached directly to his shoulder blades, with two pairs each could be found on both sides of the young man.

"10 arms in total, huh…" Briefly looking at the arms the skill allowed him to conjure, Valyr thought about its previous counterpart as he nodded in satisfaction. "That's definitely more than two, that's for sure," murmured the young man to himself soon after, chuckling at the lame joke he made.

Compared to [True Prodigious Mana Arm], [Ephemeral Limbs of the First Blacksmith] was an upgrade in multiple ways.

For one, the number of arms the skill allowed him to conjure was double the number of arms he could conjure with the previous skill at the same level and rarity.

Then again, in terms of initial cost and maintenance, the two skills were more or less the same, with [True Prodigious Mana Arm] higher in terms of maintenance, while [Ephemeral Limbs of the First Blacksmith] higher in initial cost.

But of course, as a skill obtained from an Ancient grade class, the skill made up for this increased initial cost by giving Valyr the finer control over the arms he'd conjured.

Though they were separated from his body in terms of position, the young man felt as if he could move these arms he conjured more or less similar to how he would move his own two arms.

'In any case, it'll take some time getting used to,' said Valyr to himself inwardly, only to ponder over something in silence before raising his right arm up.

Whoosh!

Seeing that all of the right arms conjured through the skill had raised themselves up as well, Valyr immediately had a wry smile on his face.

Thankfully, it did not take that much out of him to correct the problem, being able to separate the movements of each arm in his mind after a dozen or so attempts.

"For the sake of getting more used to the skill again, I'll reduce it to three pairs." Looking at the five pairs he'd conjured, Valyr did not hesitate to dispel two pairs out of the five as he recalled the previous time he used this many pairs of arms to forge stuff.

'After I made full use of the arms during the trial involving Arcaelus, I was able to cut down the forging time for each item to around a quarter or a third of the original time,' thought Valyr to himself.

Recalling how he took around 10 hours or so to forge an item back then, a slightly bitter smile soon crept up onto Valyr's face.

'I have a feeling that if I were to forge those same items right now, it would probably take me seven hours or less,' muttered the young man to himself inwardly, getting this feeling from the improvement his new class had given to him overall.

As he was tasked back then by Arcaelus to forge as many items as possible that was at least Rare grade in rarity, Valyr chose to use blueprints he'd obtained from the inheritance that guaranteed a result of a Rare grade item.

However, because those blueprints were from a time far from the present, many of the blueprints utilized materials that were considerably difficult or tedious to refine.

'In comparison, the general weapon blueprints I'm using to fulfill this quota use simpler items and methods to refine,' thought Valyr to himself after that. 'Because of that, I'm only taking this much time to forge them, even if I'm deviating a bit here and there.'

'If I were to follow the blueprints to the letter, I'm sure it would take even less time.' Valyr softly shrugged his shoulders. 'I'm getting the feeling these blueprints were made with military purpose in mind with how simple they are.'

'Though, if that really was the case, I'm sure the blacksmiths that made these blueprints would be glad that I'm using it for that exact purpose.' Valyr chuckled at the thought.

Taking in a deep breath as he removed all of the errant thoughts in his mind, Valyr proceeded to return forging, taking out a bunch of the materials out of the furnace before placing them on the anvil.

Whoosh!

Then, thinking about making use of [Ephemeral Tools of the First Blacksmith] for the arms, Valyr eventually grabbed all of the spare forging hammers on the tool rack instead, utilizing a bit of his energy in doing so.

'I'll save the skill for another time,' thought Valyr to himself as he equipped all three extra pairs with a forging hammer. 'For now, I'm going to reduce the experimentation.'

Utilizing the same routine he'd used during the trial against Arcaelus in mind, Valyr soon worked through the entire forging process alongside the three pairs of arms, having them take over a certain portion of the forging process.

Of course, just like how he went through it before, the young man kept both [Hunter's Tracking Eyes] and [Vision of the First Blacksmith] active to look for any imperfections during the process.

By the time he put on the finishing touches to the spear with his forging hammer, the young man quickly identified it with [Superior Analysis] before tossing it into the small pile of swords he'd forged before.

"Level 45. Uncommon+." Looking at the requirements and rarity for the first spear he made with the help of the extra arms, Valyr nodded in satisfaction. "Not bad for a first attempt, especially after not using it for some time."

After that, he took a look at the stopwatch feature the system had, deciding to keep track of the amount of time he took to forge each item from now onward.

"2 hours and 35 minutes." Seeing that he'd roughly shaved another half hour just by implementing the extra pairs of arms on his first attempt, Valyr nodded in both satisfaction and understanding.

Pondering over how he used the arms throughout the forging process, the young man soon found areas where he could improve his usage of them, as well as areas where he could have the arms complete that portion directly.

With that in mind, he decided to conjure the two extra pairs he'd dispelled before, reminding himself that he would make more and more use of these two extra pairs as he completed more of the quota.

And with that, the young man delved into forging once more, eventually completing his second spear of the day without much problem.

The total time?

Two hours and five minutes.
