Blake’s eyes turned to the corner of the room, where his dad’s body had been flung to the floor. It was unmoving, and a pool of blood was starting to form underneath him.
Although Altered hunters had a strong body, they were not like Altereds, a wound like that meant death.
The black sword was now in Blake’s hand and a whirlwind of emotions were surrounding his whole mind, until he couldn’t hold it anymore.
“I’ll kill you, I’ll kill you!” Blake shouted as he rushed forward.
“Blake!” Innu shouted, as he quickly skidded across the floor to pick up his other Axe that Blake had dropped. Usually out of the two of them, it was Blake that was the calm-headed one.
However, with what was going on now it was understandable.
As Blake rushed forward he swung the sword sharply in the air, right across. Ylva blocked it with her hands knocking it away, but she was surprised by the young man.
As he continually started to attack again, swinging the sword in awkward directions and angles. Even in Ylva’s form, she was trying her best to swing at the particular person.
But when she attempted to she would be struck in another place.
‘This is making no sense.’ Ylva thought. ‘I’m stronger and faster than this individual… so how is it, how are they making things feel awkward.’
Right now, as Blake swung his sword in anger, he was seeing white lines in his vision. Telling him the best place to strike.
Consumed by it, he was just swinging his sword in the path, and didn’t really know what was going on, and then eventually an upward strike had cut the forearm of Ylva.
It wasn’t a deep wound it was a small scratch but it had caused Ylva to move back as she looked at the wound.
‘How… what is going on?’ Ylva thought. ‘That sword it only touched my skin yet it cut through my thick hide that normal blades cannot cut. It didn’t feel like he had any extra strength in his attacks… and there’s something else as well, the wound it’s not healing!’
“I see now, you two are real fighters.” Ylva said. “It’s no wonder the two of you were able to take down the Ironfang, I’m going to have to guess that sword had something to do with it. I’m going to need to take that sword off you.”
Ylva had launched herself from her position, and swung her clawed hand right into Blake. Her sheer power managed to push him back, and further than Innu imagined.
Rushing behind, Innu actually used his telekinesis powers to push Blake back, but oddly they were disappearing and not helping much.
‘Damn it, is it that sword, my powers weren’t working on the sword, and now they’re not working on Blake either… it’s clear as well, he’s going to get badly hurt I need to do something.’
Looking around and looking at the situation, there was only one thing that Innu thought he could do. He gathered the power in his axes and hurled them.
They swung around the room, and oddly they didn’t go for Ylva they were heading in a completely different direction.
Due to the fight that was taking place she didn’t even pay any attention if they weren’t going towards her.
Eventually, Ylva had knocked Blake’s arm away, and with a clawed hand from below, she scratched him, her nails breaking through what armour he had and cutting deeply on his chest.
“I wonder, where you got the confidence, to think that you can beat me!” Ylva shouted as she jumped up and with both legs crashed it into Blake’s chest hitting him away.
He had been hit back into the storage room along with Innu.
“Stop using that sword for now.” Innu said as he threw the special cloth that the sword was originally wrapped in, he had found that lying on the floor.
“We need to get out of here!” Innu turned around, and with his Axe he struck it right through the wall using his Qi. He had cut out a large section of it, and not leaving Blake any choice, he practically grabbed his body and threw it breaking him through the rest of the cabin wall and into the Garden.
Blake was left confused, wondering why Innu had done that, why he was still inside.
“I have to say, the choice you made was the best one. At least someone isn’t a complete fool!” Ylva claimed.
“I’m just listening to the advice, of a fellow elder!” Innu said as he threw both of his Axes in the air.
Once again, Ylva was left confused because she could see the strikes weren’t going toward her. Instead they had gone through the door and then went around to the outside.
When she turned to look at where the axe was going she could see, the corner beams that were holding up the whole structure, so many of them had already been destroyed. Due to the fighting the foundation of the cabin wasn’t in the best shape.
As the axes crashed into the last beams that were somewhat decent it had cut them down, and now the whole entire cabin was collapsing in on itself.
Innu rushed out as the whole cabin fell, and him and Blake were now back in the open Garden.
“Father!” Blake said reaching with his hand out towards the cabin. His body was still in there, underneath all of that mess.
“I’m sorry Blake… I’m sorry.” Innu said. “But your father would rather have you alive… and right now we need to go, because I have no doubt in my mind, that woman is still alive, this will only slow her down!”
