Chapter 13

Xu Duo responded, “Hmm…”

Lu Haiqiao sighed softly. “I expected that.”

For two years, she had been searching for a person without any success. It wouldn’t be easy to find information on him.

“Well, there’s no rush with this matter,” Lu Haiqiao continued, putting down her glass. “The paintings have appeared, and sooner or later, they will return to their rightful owner.”

With that, she stood up.

Xu Duo looked at her. “Where are you going?”

Lu Haiqiao patted his forehead with the back of his hand. “I’m tired. Going home.”

“I’ll drive you.”

Just as Xu Duo was about to get up, Lu Haiqiao stopped her. “I can go back on my own. You have to stay here and keep an eye on things.”

Secret Love Bar was opened by Xu Duo’s father, Xu Guoqiang, shortly after she graduated from university.

Originally, it was just for fun, with no intention of running it for a long time.

However, Xu Duo gradually developed a sense of responsibility as a business owner.

She invested a significant amount of money and effort into it, and she visited the bar every evening. Occasionally, she even went down to greet the customers.

With her exquisite appearance, social skills, generous spending, and cheerful personality, the business thrived.

As Lu Haiqiao walked out of the private room, the ground floor’s dance floor switched to elegant blues music.

The soothing music made her slightly volatile mood calm down a bit.

She crossed the corridor and was about to head downstairs when she suddenly heard a commotion.

It was loud and boisterous, impossible to ignore.

“F*ck, we encountered a master!”

“The second dart has been knocked down; it seems like we’re getting closer to 100,000 yuan.”

“Incredible, how many years of practice does it take to reach this level!”

“Perfect bullseye, beautiful!”

Lu Haiqiao leaned against the railing near the stairs, her gaze shifting from the slow-dancing crowd on the dance floor to the lounge area not far from the bar.

Under the flashing lights of the bar, her eyes settled on a tall figure.

In a brief moment of brightness, she saw the person raise his arm.

After a swift and precise motion, the enthusiastic applause and cheers from the crowd followed.

“F*ck, this guy’s a real master!”

“The first meal exemption is born!”

“I thought it was a coincidence earlier, but now it’s clear he is amazing!”

The security guard guarding the dartboard whispered something to the bartender, who nodded in response. The bartender then made her way to the first floor.

Upon seeing Lu Haiqiao, the bartender stopped and respectfully greeted her, “Miss Lu.”

The boss’s best friend was equivalent to half a boss.

Lu Haiqiao tilted her chin slightly, “What’s going on?”

The bartender turned to look, “Three darts were knocked off the board.”

Huh?

Lu Haiqiao raised her eyebrows.

Really?

She had her doubts.

Lu Haiqiao walked past the bartender, hurrying downstairs.

There were a few steps left to the ground floor.

At that moment, a familiar figure emerged from the lounge area.

With quick steps, the person passed by her in a flash. She managed to see his side profile.

Was it him?

The waiter from the cafe this afternoon?

Lu Haiqiao shifted her gaze and arrived at the lounge area with suspicion.

Aided by the bright spotlight from the bar counter, she saw the back end of three darts with blue and white patterns securely hitting the bullseye. Meanwhile, the three red darts that had previously stuck at the same spot had scattered on the floor.

These were the darts she casually shot at the dartboard when the bar had just completed renovation.

Since the bar’s opening, not to mention knocking them down, nobody had even hit three bullseyes in a row!
