Yun Lintian's mind raced as he processed Tie Muqiu's words. Tie Mutian, the legendary blacksmith from the Azure World?
"Tie Mutian?" Yun Lintian breathed, his voice laced with disbelief. "The Tie Mutian?"
Tie Muqiu nodded, her expression still calm and indifferent. "Yes. He was my father."
Yun Lintian's mind reeled. He remembered the tales he had heard in the Azure World about the legendary blacksmith, his unparalleled skill in forging divine weapons. He had never imagined that he would one day meet his descendant, let alone in such a remote and desolate corner of existence.
And then, a memory surfaced in his mind. Hongyue had once mentioned it when he followed her to the Ancient Battlefield. It turned out to be this place.
"My father told me about you," Tie Muqiu continued, her voice calm and steady. "He said that one day, you would appear here."
Yun Lintian's eyebrows rose in surprise. "He did?"
Tie Muqiu nodded. "He did. He said that you were the one who would wield the God Slaying Sword."
Yun Lintian's mind reeled once more. "The God Slaying Sword? Me?"
"The God Slaying Sword was my father's greatest creation," Tie Muqiu explained. "A sword forged from the heart of a dying star, imbued with the power of the seven elements. It was said to be capable of slaying even gods."She paused, her gaze fixed on Yun Lintian. "But during the Primordial War, the God Slaying Sword was shattered. Its fragments were scattered across the Primal Chaos."
Yun Lintian nodded slowly. He had, of course, heard such a story.
"My father was able to recover some of the fragments," Tie Muqiu said, staring at the Heaven Piercing Sword that floated beside Yun Lintian. "He used them to forge the seven elemental swords and the Heaven Piercing Sword-the one in your hand."
Yun Lintian's gaze dropped to the Heaven Piercing Sword, his mind reeling from the revelation. He had never realized that his sword was forged from a fragment of the God Slaying Sword.
"He also imbued each fragment with a sliver of the God Slaying Sword's spirit," Tie Muqiu added. "He hoped that one day, someone would gather all the fragments and reforge the God Slaying Sword, awakening its true spirit and restoring its full power."
Yun Lintian was surprised and asked, "Where can I find them?"
As far as he currently knew, Jian Yun was the True Spirit of the God Slaying Sword. As for the other fragments, he simply had no clue.
Tie Muqiu shook her head. "I don't know."
Yun Lintian frowned slightly. "You don't know?"
Tie Muqiu nodded. "My father didn't tell me. He only said that one day, the chosen one would appear, and it would be my duty to reforge the God Slaying Sword."
Yun Lintian was silent for a moment, considering his options. He had been hoping that Tie Muqiu would be able to tell him where to find the remaining fragments of the God Slaying Sword, but it seemed that he was on his own.
"Very well," Yun Lintian said finally. "I will find the remaining fragments."
Tie Muqiu looked into his eyes and said, "Please give me the Heaven Piercing Sword and the seven elemental swords."
Yun Lintian hesitated for a moment. He was reluctant to part with his swords, especially the Heaven Piercing Sword, his main weapon.
"I will combine them and reforge a new sword," Tie Muqiu said.
"Is it necessary?" Yun Lintian asked. "Will the Heaven Piercing Sword's spirit disappear?"
Tie Muqiu shook her head. "No. The Heaven Piercing Sword's spirit will not disappear. It will simply become a part of the God Slaying Sword's spirit."
Yun Lintian was still hesitant. He looked at the Heaven Piercing Sword, its blade gleaming in the firelight. As if sensing Yun Lintian's hesitation, the Heaven Piercing Sword suddenly hovered in the air before him. It emitted a soft, golden light, its blade humming with energy. Yun Lintian was slightly surprised. The Heaven Piercing Sword clearly expressed its intention to stay behind. The sword then turned and flew towards Tie Muqiu, its blade pointed towards her.
Tie Muqiu reached out and grasped the hilt of the sword, her fingers closing around its smooth surface. She looked at Yun Lintian.
"Thank you for trusting me. I will not let you down," Tie Muqiu said gently.
"No," Yun Lintian shook his head and said. "It should be me who said this." He waved his hand, and the seven elemental swords appeared in the air before flying towards Tie Muqiu and floating around her.
"Please take care of them," Yun Lintian said solemnly. He trusted the Heaven Piercing Sword's judgment. There shouldn't be a problem leaving them here with Tie Muqiu.
"Don't worry. They will be fine here," Tie Muqiu responded calmly.
Yun Lintian also took out the White Dragon Spear that he hadn't used for a long time. "Is this your father's work as well?"
"Yes," Tie Muqiu looked at the white spear and said. "Unfortunately, the condition my father was in at that time must have been very difficult. This spear can't reach its potential."
"Well, can you fix it?" Yun Lintian asked. "What materials do you need?"
Tie Muqiu thought for a moment and shook her head. "It's impossible for me to upgrade it. It has already reached its limit unless you want to smelt it and reforge a new one."
Yun Lintian was disappointed and caressed the White Dragon Spear gently. This spear was his first powerful weapon, obtained early in his journey. While it was now inferior, he didn't want to leave it in the dust.
He thought for a moment and took out the Frostmourne Spear that he got from Mo Lianxing. The moment the spear appeared, the surrounding temperature dropped instantly.
Tie Muqiu looked at the spear and said, "The Frostmourne Spear from the Mo Clan?"
"Yes," Yun Lintian nodded. "Is it possible to combine them?"
Tie Muqiu was slightly surprised. "Are you sure? The Frostmourne Spear is definitely one of the strongest weapons in the current Primal Chaos."
"Yes," Yun Lintian said firmly. "However, let's do it when I return from the Ancient
Battlefield. After all, I don't have any other weapon to use at the moment."
Tie Muqiu nodded slowly. "Alright. There's no problem."
"How long would it take?" Yun Lintian asked.
Tie Muqiu caressed the Heaven Piercing Sword gently and said, "Two months. I can finish it in
two months."
"Two months?" Yun Lintian was surprised.
Tie Muqiu didn't say anything but tapped her foot gently on the ground.
