“I see, I assume you will be using a training ground for that yes?” she asked and I nodded.

“It’s the only areas with enough space for that given how the Kekkai Tota worked.” I say with a shrug.

“Let me know which training ground you plan to use so I can order people to avoid it. The last thing we need are accidental casualties from someone getting too nosy.” she said seriously.

“I was going to use training ground twenty eight since it was at the outer edge of the village and thus not likely to cause any problems for the village if my practice leaked out of it a little.” I said frankly.

She thought about it for a moment before nodding “That’s good. As you’ve say if your training slips out of the training ground for whatever reason it won’t cause much damage.” she said calmly.

With that taken care of I headed home since I obviously wasn’t going to start training today since it was so late. I also needed to let Karin know where I was going to be so she didn’t do something foolish like try and venture into my chamber at the house when she couldn’t get ahold of me.-

Her resistance to natural energy was going up from living in a place with so much but even she would petrify almost immediately if she so much as touched the natural fog in my chamber. Ironically the fog made my chamber seem even more mysterious as the stuff leaked out the sides of the door before dissipating as it lost it’s cohesion. So far only Kakashi had been able to even enter my chamber and only then while in sage mode as it allowed him to regulate the amount of natural energy he took into his body.-

Even then he had to be hyper vigilant as the natural energy pressed against him seeking to infiltrate his body at all times. It wasn’t all bad for him however as I used Crystal release to take some of the crystal in my chamber and transplant it into his own meditation chamber in the Hatake home. It was a small amount and I spread it out so his chamber always had a steady flow of natural energy of a decent density. Not even a fraction of my chamber but more than enough for his own personal usage.-

It was rather funny but shortly after Jiraiya returned to the village with Naruto he too came to see me about the insane amount of natural energy in and around my house. Natural energy of such density it dwarfed even Mount Myoboku, one of the three mysterious sage regions. It made sense that he couldn’t help picking up on it the instant he arrived in the village. His ability to sense natural energy was not as up to standard as I would like it to be but he did at least have it to some inferior and flawed degree.-

Thanks to that there was no way he’d miss what could be as utterly apparent as a raging inferno of natural energy to even the weakest of abilities to sense natural energy. When he actually focused on sensing natural energy though he was practically blinded so to speak by the sheer density of the stuff in that one singular location. My sensei found it amusing to act like she had no idea what was going on when he asked about it which made him go investigating on his own.-

Finding out I lived there was easy for him as literally everyone in the village who cared about the village at all knew it. I was the student of the current Hokage and a well known Iryonin and powerful S rank shinobi as well. My sensei found it hysterical how absolutely flabbergasted Jiraiya was the deeper he dug into me and my affairs. Several high ranked chakra beasts, a hermit-like lifestyle, recreating every recorded Kekkai genkai of the elemental variety, a fortune so large I alone could fund the villages activities for years without much issue and I was engaged to what was considered by many the last pureblooded Uzumaki in the world.-

Naruto didn’t count since he wasn’t full blooded as only his mother was from the clan.

(A/N: He thinks Nagato is dead at the moment.)

As far as Jiraiya was concerned I couldn’t have a bigger existential pressure on the world unless I was as strong as the First Hokage or Madara Uchiha, I stood out that much. It all culminated in him eventually making a visit to my house to try and hear it from the horses mouth as it were.

“I must admit you are not a guest I was expecting to receive though I suppose it’s not ALL that surprising given the amount of natural energy here.” I said as I let him in my home.

He seemed surprised by this until he went out of his way to sense the natural energy around me for the first time ever “You’re a sage!?” he exclaimed in shock.

I tilted my head at that confused before realizing what had happened and laughed. “I had thought she would have told you but it seems my sensei is playing a trick on you. I am indeed a sage or rather I always have been.” I said with an amused smile.

“I don’t understand.” Jiraiya said confused.

“I was born a sage, to be specific in sage mode since birth. If you used your ability to sense natural energy more frequently or if it was more sensitive passively you would have long since figured this out. It’s not even a secret to the higher ups of the village. Most think I am like you or Kakashi in that I need to manually enter sage mode, an easy mistake to make.” I explained casually like what I just said didn’t break his entire understanding of sages.

“It makes no sense, where are the marks? The animal features?” he asked confused as he looked me all over.

I shook my head “Those things are a sign of imperfection in how one uses sage mode. Even what you would consider perfect is still flawed as it makes small changes to ones appearance. I was born a sage so naturally my state is the truly perfect one with no visible marks to show that I am in sage mode.” I said honestly.
