Jade Dragon was happy that his parents survived the first three Lightning Strikes by doing almost nothing.

Earlier, he was worried about their ascension and after seeing how they completed one-third of their ascension, Jade Dragonling was no longer worried about anything.

On the other hand, someone…or to be more exact, something is not exactly happy with the couple’s survival. It was none other than the Ascension Tribulation Cloud.

The first three strikes targeted their physical forms, their scorching heat and sheer force meant to shatter unprepared bodies.

However, Draven and his Wife were perfectly fine thanks to the World’s barrier, making the Ascension Cloud very angry as it prepared more powerful lightning strikes before releasing them at the couple.

After a few moments, two Lightning Strikes that were double the thickness and in length compared to the first three pairs of Lightning Strikes came out of the Ascension Tribulation Cloud.

The Jade Dragonling’s previous happy mood disappeared without a trace when he saw the newly released two lightning strikes and started worrying about their parents.

The pair of Lightning Strikes rushed towards the couple, however, just when the strike was about to land on them, Jade Dragon Scales appeared in their hands.

They used their hands to block the incoming Lightning Strikes, which resulted in an explosion.

Other than losing a couple of Dragon Scales on their hands, the couple was perfectly fine.

Sylvan smiled a little at Ajax’s question as he cleared his doubts.

"So, it won’t be a problem to use the Divine Rules for the nine Lightning Strikes, right?"

Ajax thought of a proper method to use the Divine Rule to ascend to the Heavenly Realm.

"That’s the plan."

Sylvan nodded his head.

As Ajax was gaining more information about the Ascension Tribulation from Sylvan, Draven and his wife successfully blocked the fifth and sixth lightning strikes.

The second batch of three pairs of lightning bolts delved deeper, aiming for their souls, searing through their spiritual defences. Together, they shielded one another, intertwining their auras to share the burden and minimize the damage.

However, they lost nearly a dozen dragon scales and looked a bit tired.

"The real Lightning Strikes will start appearing now."

Sylvan explained as the real dangers begin now.

The Ascension Tribulation Cloud roared in anger at the two cultivators who were still standing as it started to create some really powerful lightning strikes to make them fail their ascension.

It was the cultivators’ duty to ascend whereas it must make them fail the ascension.

The reason was, that only the real powerful cultivators should ascend to the Heavenly Realm. The weak insect should remain in the Earth Realm.

’I am the filter that stops the insects from entering the Heavenly Realm.’

If the Ascension Tribulation Cloud had a voice, it would shout this line at the ascending cultivators, telling them that it was its work and it was the only one responsible for the filtering.

Soon, Draven and his wife transformed into their true forms which were powerful-looking huge jade dragons.

It was Ajax’s first time seeing such powerful dragons in his entire life.

Just the aura released from them was suffocating him; however, to his surprise, the Jade Dragonling who was much weaker than him seemed completely normal.

There was a huge explosion and before the dust could settle, the Ascension Tribulation Cloud rumbled as it released another pair of Lightning Strikes at the Jade Dragon Couple.

"Isn’t that cheating?"

Ajax could not help but say it out loud when he saw the back-to-back lightning strikes released by the Ascension Tribulation Cloud.

"Although it might seem unfair, there is nothing we can do about it."

Sylvan shook his head as one could not talk with the Ascension Tribulation Cloud.

The seventh and eighth strikes pushed their willpower to its limits, attempting to erode their determination with waves of despair and celestial suppression.

’Roar’

Yet, drawing strength from their shared purpose and the presence of their watching son, they roared in defiance, unleashing bursts of their combined draconic power to meet the heavens’ challenge.

"They did it….they survived the seventh and eighth lightning strikes. They are going to ascend to the Heavenly Realm now."

Sylvan shouted out joy as he started celebrating even before they completed their full ascension tribulation.
