Nine Star Hegemon Body Art

Chapter 5647: Mysterious Youth

“Big brother Long!” exclaimed Wilde.

Wilde shrank back down to his normal size, and Long Chen was surprised to see him smaller than before, standing just two heads taller than him.

Seeing Long Chen’s familiar appearance, Wilde suddenly hugged him and started to cry like a lost child who finally found his family.

Wilde no longer looked ferocious. He appeared purely innocent, like a child reunited with someone he deeply trusted.

“Good brother, good brother. Don’t cry. We should be happy, not sad,” said Long Chen, patting Wilde’s shoulder.

Feeling Wilde’s familiar aura, although Long Chen said not to cry, he himself was tearing up.

Wilde had been alone and suffered greatly back then, perpetually starving. When they first met, Long Chen had treated Wilde like a younger brother, even having Wilde call his own mother “mom.” Their bond had grown unshakable over the years.

The last time they met, they barely had time to see each other before parting ways. Although Long Chen knew Wilde was safe, he couldn’t help but worry about Wilde.

Because of the latter’s limited intelligence, Long Chen was worried about him being used by others. Hence, seeing Wilde safe and sound lifted a heavy weight off Long Chen’s shoulders.

The Heaven Demon Alliance had long since fled, so the battlefield was empty now. Tang Wan-er and the Hidden Dragon Legion’s warriors walked over to Wilde’s side.

Tang Wan-er teared up when she saw Wilde. In the Dragonblood Legion, everyone regarded Wilde as a younger brother to look after. Seeing him again, Tang Wan-er was too emotional to speak.

The Hidden Dragon warriors didn’t know who Wilde was. However, having witnessed him rip apart the Golden Great Peng, obliterate the Divine Tortoise, and defeat three peak experts with a single swing of his club, they were filled with reverence. Seeing this fierce warrior cry like a child, though, left them stunned. Was this truly the same terrifying force they had seen moments ago?

“Good brother, tell big brother how you found us?” Long Chen asked gently once Wilde calmed down.

Wilde sniffled and began to recount his journey. When he entered the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm, he had accompanied tens of thousands of experts from the Blood Barbarian race. However, growing impatient with their slow pace, he ignored their warnings and ventured off alone.

After running around for three days, Wilde realized he had no idea where to find Long Chen. He tried retracing his steps, but he couldn’t find his group. He had gotten so lost that he couldn’t tell north from south.

Wilde ended up waiting for days in one spot, but no one he knew showed up. As a result, he panicked. Remembering how everyone back then had shouted at Long Chen, he knew he had to find his big brother quickly.

After that, Wilde started running around randomly again. Whenever he encountered anyone, he would ask if they had seen his big brother Long.

His strange behavior baffled many, and some even attacked him after seeing he was alone. Wilde would flee if humans attacked since Long Chen was also a human. However, if his attackers were from the demon race, devil race, or other factions, he would retaliate mercilessly, crushing them with his club and devouring them.

After that, he continued running around. When he got hungry, he would hunt down the wild beasts within the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm.

Once he was full, he’d continue on his journey. Many beasts guarded treasures in their territories, but Wilde, uninterested in such things, would move on after eating. Sadly, his search was fruitless, and he often broke down crying in frustration.

One day, while sitting on a mountain and weeping, a youth appeared before him. The youth’s manifestation had a giant dice inside of it.

“Hu Feng?” Long Chen exclaimed in surprise upon hearing the description.

Wilde slapped his leg. “Yes, Hu Feng! That’s his name! But I didn’t remember it back then.”

“Was it really Hu Feng?” asked Long Chen.

“Maybe? I’m not sure,” Wilde replied hesitantly.

Long Chen was speechless. Wilde’s power had grown increasingly terrifying, but his intelligence had not improved at all. He clearly knew Hu Feng, so how could he not be sure? Long Chen decided to probe further, hoping to untangle Wilde’s muddled memories.

According to Wilde, the person with the dice behind him was actually a youth who appeared to be around sixteen years old. Wilde didn’t remember what Hu Feng looked like, but the image of the dice stuck firmly in his mind.

When Wilde first saw that youth, he immediately asked, “Have you seen my big brother Long?”

That youth was baffled. After looking at Wilde more closely, he asked, “Do we know each other?”

“We should know each other,” Wilde confidently replied. But instead of elaborating, he repeated his question. “Have you seen my big brother Long?”

The youth frowned in confusion and asked back. “Who is this big brother Long?”

However, Wilde’s response was as perplexing as ever.

“You know him too,” Wilde said.

The youth was left speechless. Despite asking several clarifying questions, he couldn’t make sense of what Wilde was trying to say.

In the end, the youth activated the dice behind him, performing what appeared to be a divination. After a moment, he pointed in a specific direction and said, “Go that way. Don’t take any detours, and you might find what you’re looking for.”

Without hesitation, Wilde ran off in that direction and didn’t dare to pause.

After rushing for a full day, Wilde finally sensed Long Chen’s aura. That aura was like the sun to Wilde, guiding him through the chaos. He immediately charged over, arriving just in time to save Long Chen at a critical moment.

“Long Chen, do you think that it was Hu Feng?” Tang Wan-er’s voice trembled with disbelief. Back during the final battle of the Martial Heaven Continent, Hu Feng had died. Everyone had seen it happen.

Hu Feng, Ling Yunzi, Qu Jianying, the old man, Li Tianxuan—they had all fallen. The pain of their loss still lingered in Long Chen’s heart. Now, hearing about this mysterious youth, both Long Chen and Tang Wan-er were stunned.

“The Gambling Heavenly Dao has always been a mysterious legacy. Even after poring through countless tomes in the immortal world, I haven’t found much valuable information about it. Whether it was him or not, it doesn’t matter for now. I believe that it won’t be long before this riddle is unraveled,” Long Chen said.

However, as he spoke, he suddenly started coughing violently. The wound on his chest sent sharp jolts of pain through his body.

“Big brother Long!” Wilde cried out. He wanted to chase down those beasts that had done this to Long Chen and kill them.

“I’m fine. I just need to rest,” Long Chen quickly assured him, forcing a smile.

He reached out and patted Wilde’s arm. The way the vein on his forehead throbbed was very frightening.

Just then, the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest began to quiver. Ancient runes on its surface lit up, pulsating with a radiant glow. From the spatial channel behind it, an overwhelming current of energy surged outward.

“The Emperor reverse scale’s power is being released!” Long Chen’s heart shook when he saw that.
