The giant earth wall was broken through, but it didn’t collapse like an ordinary wall. In fact, not even bits of dirt flew out of it.
Now, there was a hole in the wall, but its shape was odd, looking like an iron board blasted open with brute force. The hole’s edges twisted outward like a blooming flower. Within those edges, countless metallic cables could be faintly seen.
Yue Changfeng burst through the wall, coughing up a mouthful of blood. He had never imagined that someone could condense earth energy to such an extent that it became as solid as metal.
What enraged him the most, however, was the sight of his mount—a nine-vein Heaven Saint demonic beast—embedded within the wall, crushed into a bloody splatter upon impact. His trusted steed was dead.
“Stop!” Yue Changfeng roared, his voice booming across the battlefield.
However, the momentum had already been built. The horsemen behind him were charging at full speed, unable to halt their advance. There was no stopping a loosened arrow.
Those directly behind Yue Changfeng had no chance to react. Some attempted to turn, but it was too late—they still crashed into the wall. One after another, bodies and mounts slammed against the earth wall, reduced to pulp upon impact.
Song Mingyuan’s defensive power was simply too strong. Even an expert like Yue Changfeng was injured after smashing into his wall.
As a result, these powerful experts were like eggs smashing into stone, staining the wall red. Millions of warriors perished in an instant, and only those further back had enough time to dodge, narrowly escaping a similar fate.
At the rear, Lu Qingshuang stood with tens of thousands of her most loyal subordinates. Recently, her authority within the Golden Armor Horseman Legion had weakened, and the risk of her group being completely disbanded loomed over them. Yet, these people still chose to stand by her side.As they watched their comrades die so horrifically, their hearts bled with sorrow. These were people from their own sect, warriors they had fought alongside. Seeing them reduced to mangled corpses was unbearable.
Tears streamed down Lu Qingshuang’s face. This was the outcome she had anticipated. Yue Changfeng was simply too stupid, so stupid that there was no saving him. His foolishness had caused so many deaths, but Lu Qingshuang could only watch helplessly.
Yue Changfeng’s arrogance was boundless. He believed himself invincible beneath the heavens, but in reality, he was nothing more than a deluded egomaniac. If he didn’t die at Long Chen’s hands, he would sooner or later perish at the hands of Fantian De, Netherdragon Tianfeng, or any of the other top experts.
Of all the commanders in the Golden Armor Horseman Legion, Lu Qingshuang was the only one who still retained her rationality. Even with thirteen heaven veins, Yue Changfeng was nothing special in the grand scheme of things. Did he really think he could dominate the world?
Compared to Fantian De, Netherdragon Tianfeng, Li Changgeng, Li Zaiye, or that hideous sea demon woman, what made him unique?
His reckless ambition had turned the Golden Armor Horseman Legion into the laughingstock of the battlefield.
Compared to the other top factions, they were insignificant. Yue Changfeng might be powerful, but if he led them into battle against any of those forces, he’d be the only one left standing.
And now, because of his idiocy, countless warriors had died in vain.
“Die!”
Seeing so many of his subordinates slaughtered, Yue Changfeng snapped. His thirteen heaven veins ignited, his aura surging to a terrifying degree—a hundred times stronger than that of an average nine-vein Heaven Saint. His lance shot forward, aiming straight for Song Mingyuan.
Song Mingyuan sneered, “What a temper. I was just raising a wall. As a leader, instead of guiding your troops to safety, you chose to charge recklessly ahead. You aren’t a wise leader, nor are you strong enough to clear a path for your men. A weak and stupid man like you dares to command an army? Any one of my Dragonblood brothers would do a better job. They’d be a hundred times more qualified than you. Now, how do you even have the face to take your anger out on me?”
As he spoke, Song Mingyuan’s hands formed seals, summoning another set of towering barriers from the earth. These walls were like fortified city gates, but Yue Changfeng bulldozed through them one after another.
From the other side of the battlefield, Netherdragon Tianfeng scoffed, “This fool. If he had used this power from the start, he wouldn’t have looked so pathetic.”
Yue Changfeng had wanted to crush the Dragonblood Legion without revealing his true strength. Perhaps he was saving it for Long Chen. But his arrogance had backfired, making him appear like a complete fool instead.
However, despite his temper and recklessness, Yue Changfeng’s offensive power was undeniable. His thirteen heaven vein dragon qi merged perfectly with his lance, turning it into a divine weapon of destruction. Song Mingyuan’s mighty defenses were ultimately insufficient to stop him.
After the destruction of the ninth wall, a crystalline battle-axe came crashing down on Yue Changfeng.
BOOM!
Yue Changfeng’s lance quivered, and the impact also forced him back several steps. He left shattered imprints in the void with every step.
His attacker, however, was sent flying.
It was Li Qi. Having worked alongside Song Mingyuan for years, Li Qi had been lying in wait behind the ninth wall, ready to ambush Yue Changfeng.
However, despite Yue Changfeng being slowed by the walls, he was still so powerful that Li Qi found himself at a disadvantage in that exchange.
“Li Qi, are you alright?” asked Song Mingyuan.
“I’m fine, but that fellow is strong,” replied Li Qi, wiping some blood off his mouth.
That single clash had shaken his internal organs, nearly making him lose his grip on his battle-axe.
Yue Changfeng’s face twisted with rage. “You trash! Die!”
His thirteen heaven veins flared once more, his killing intent reaching a frenzied peak.
“Dragon Flame Pierce!”
The battlefield trembled as Yue Changfeng unleashed his strongest attack. A divine spear of light shot forward, carrying an unstoppable force of destruction.
