Chapter 6141 Contractual Formation
That slap had struck more than just Fan Ji’s face—it had crushed his pride.
As a transcendent figure, a Son of Brahma, Fan Ji had never once known humiliation. Yet now, before countless witnesses, he had been slapped—not wounded, not injured, but slapped like a street cur.
Compared to physical pain, the damage to his dignity was far more excruciating. For someone with an ego of his scale, this was worse than death.
“LONG CHEN, DIE!”
All pretenses were gone. Fan Ji no longer cared about their earlier agreement of ten exchanges. With a bellow of rage, his spear surged forward, tearing through the void.
The power of the thrust was cataclysmic, shattering the space before Fan Ji for miles. The very world screamed under the weight of it.
But just as the attack reached its apex, Fan Ji’s expression changed. He sensed danger and spun around, raising his spear with both hands.
BOOM!
Evilmoon came crashing down from behind in eerie silence. Though Fan Ji had sensed it in the final moment and managed to block, the impact still forced him back.
Fan Ji staggered, shocked and livid. How had Long Chen evaded such a massive attack and gotten behind him without a sound? And how had he hidden his presence so well?
Long Chen sighed inwardly as his attack failed. His grasp of the violet blood race’s divine abilities was still too shallow.
Such a good chance was now wasted.
He had even gone so far as to conceal his Kunpeng wings, setting up this precise moment in hopes of catching Fan Ji off guard. But his control over the technique wasn’t tight enough. A sliver of its aura had slipped through, alerting Fan Ji at the last second and ruining the ambush.
If only I still had my astral energy, Long Chen thought. This strike would’ve landed. He wouldn’t have escaped unscathed.
“Violet Dragon Bind!”
Forming one-handed seals, Long Chen summoned a violet dragon that erupted from the ground, coiling around Fan Ji as he retreated.
BOOM!
The dragon exploded instantly under Fan Ji’s terrifying might.
But as the energy dispersed, Evilmoon came slashing forward in a seamless follow-up, aiming straight for Fan Ji’s chest.
“Scram!” Fan Ji roared.
A terrifying domain erupted out of him and blew Long Chen back.
Long Chen steadied himself midair, heart pounding. This guy really is strong. Even his domain is this overwhelming. That kind of power is hard not to envy.
“Long Chen, don’t waste time on him. Find a place where you can safely refine my blood moon runes. After that, you can cut him into as many pieces as you want!” said Evilmoon.
Evilmoon had condensed the blood moon runes, but it couldn’t wield their power without Long Chen’s help.
“Don’t be hasty. Let me see how strong he is. I wonder if I can beat him without my astral energy?” responded Long Chen.
Fan Ji was very powerful. But despite the immense power he possessed, he still had many weak points.
Even without his astral energy, Long Chen didn’t back down. If anything, this high-stakes battle against someone in the same realm invigorated him. It had been far too long since he’d fought an opponent this formidable, and the pressure pushed him to his limits—just the way he liked it.
More importantly, he wasn’t some one-trick genius who relied solely on astral energy. He had plenty of cards left to play.
“Violet Flame Seals the Heavens!”
“Heaven Binding Lock!”
“Brilliant Heaven Shield!”
…
Long Chen continuously made one-handed seals. He was incredibly skillful, unleashing a dozen different divine abilities in one go.
Just like that, the violet blood race’s divine abilities rained down on Fan Ji, continuously binding him.
Fan Ji roared and swept his silver spear wildly, destroying them one after another—but Long Chen’s fingers didn’t pause for a second.
Divine swords, warhammers, ancient vines, iron chains—all kinds of attacks rained down. There were even various beasts and demons.
It was as if an army of divine techniques had come alive to bury Fan Ji.
Though Long Chen hadn’t spent years mastering each technique like their original creators, he had the Infinity-One Technique and his violet bloodline—the gentlest, most compliant among his bloodline powers. That affinity let him wield these techniques fluidly, and while his control wasn’t perfect, he could still unleash 70 to 80 percent of their full might.
BOOM!
Assaulted on all sides, Fan Ji finally exploded in fury. His domain erupted again, and a wave of energy obliterated the incoming divine abilities.
And that was exactly what Long Chen had been waiting for.
Without hesitation, he slashed Evilmoon with his full strength.
Cracks split through Fan Ji’s domain—just as Long Chen predicted. Clearly, Fan Ji’s control over the domain was raw and inefficient. Long Chen had seen that flaw the first time Fan Ji used it. This time, he exploited it.
Evilmoon slipped through the fractured veil of energy and howled toward Fan Ji’s head.
“Die!”
Fan Ji bellowed and brought his silver spear up in desperation. Sparks exploded as the weapons clashed.
BOOM!
Evilmoon was knocked aside, but Fan Ji’s pupils shrank because on Long Chen’s other hand, a blazing cross had formed.
It pressed straight into his chest.
“Damn you!”
Fan Ji realized too late that he’d been baited. That ferocious attack with Evilmoon had only been a feint. This palm was the true killing blow.
Behind Long Chen, the Sovereign Mountain manifestation rumbled. The violet dragons coiled around it vanished in a flash of divine light.
“Ten Thousand Dragons Infinity-One—Sovereign Blood Seal!”
All of Long Chen’s violet blood energy poured into the strike. His palm smashed forward with divine might.
Fan Ji vomited blood. His outer robes exploded into fluttering shreds, scattering through the sky like broken feathers as he was blasted back.
That single blow should have killed him.
But Fan Ji didn’t fall.
Fan Ji’s outer robes were actually a priceless treasure filled with sacred faith energy. They could essentially withstand the attacks of third Heavenstage Sovereign Lords.
However, they were destroyed by Long Chen. Furthermore, something else appeared on Fan Ji’s body when his outer robes were destroyed, one that made Long Chen’s jaw drop.
“A corset?”
Fan Ji was wearing a red corset. It was also a priceless treasure.
Thanks to its protection, Fan Ji simply spat out three mouthfuls of blood and survived Long Chen’s killing blow.
“Brother, have you been weaned off your mother’s milk yet? Why are you still wearing that?” Long Chen mocked, looking at Fan Ji oddly.
Evilmoon reappeared in his hand. He rested it lazily on his shoulder, completely unfazed.
Fan Ji’s face was twisted with fury. He looked down at his corset, trembled, then roared like a rabid animal.
“How dare you insult me?! Long Chen, I’ll tear you into a thousand pieces!”
He suddenly spat out another mouthful of blood and formed hand seals. Then, his blood condensed into a formation.
“Using my divine blood, I form the contract…”
A horrifying aura surged out, one so fierce it made Long Chen’s scalp tingle.
Something terrifying was coming.
