176 Chapter 175: Ancestral dragon of life and death

Xiu!

Blink vanished and reappeared behind the goblin captain.

Swoosh!

His blade swung forward like a beam, aiming for the skull of the enemy but it was skillfully parried.

Peng!

Blink flipped back and spun ok the air like a bird before landing on the ground gracefully but as soon as his feet hit the ground, he turned into a white beam and vanished, reappearing hundreds of meters away from the small army.

Flap!

Silver’s robes fluttered fiercely as he stood with is hands cupped and his sleeves flapping

“You dare attack the blood mountain’s heir? Hahaha! Cocky savages” Blink laughed with fearless eyes.

.....

Even when faced with such a powerful army, he had no reason to show fear.

“$#-&#&#–#” The orc growled something in audible and almost instantly the killing intent of the orc army.

Even with such pressure, Blink remained unmoved by their pathetic attempt to scare him.

“You are the heir of the death mage? Then your head must be worth a lot! My king will definitely reward me if I present you to them!” The orc captain sneered before his eyes let out a bright green light and a fierce wild energy surged from their body.

Awwoooooooo!

A fierce cry rang across the sky as the powerful war halos surrounded the small army and they charged forward fearlessly.

Rumble!

Rumble!

The ground shook violently as the army kept charging forward ruthlessly but Blink remained calm.

Hmph!

Blink snorted disdainfully as his silver aura exploded and he raised his hand, causing all the energy to surge into the silver dagger in his hand.

“Kill!” Blink slashed forward and a loud howl could be heard from his blade.

The attack seemed to be fading in and out of the fabric of space itself as it danced forward.

Against this power, even the orc halo couldn’t stop the space twisting blade from piercing through the enemy forces, killing everything in its way.

Boom!

Blink stood with a cold look on his face as he watched the enemy forces recover from his attack like it was nothing.

“Spatial zone” Blink remained unmoved by the enemy forces and left his dagger in mid-air, clasping his hands together.

It felt as if time stopped as the dagger hung in mid-air while fierce power surged through his body, bursting out fiercely.

A silver dome slowly formed, spreading far and wide until it easily covered over a hundred meters all around. He remained silent as the small army raced into the silver dome and almost instantly.

Swoosh!

Blink slashed his blade and everything in its path was split in two!

Shit!

Bang!

The orc captain was stunned but reacted quickly, kicking the ground and shooting into the storm spinning rapidly.

“In this spatial zone, I am god” Blink muttered as the space around the orc captain seemed to freeze, suspending the orc captain in mid-air.

“I only became a warrior realm expert recently and just had my pathway revealed to me by the heavens. I’m not too sure how it works properly since I haven’t had time to practice. You will fulfill that role” Blink said coldly as his eyes revealed a bright green light and it seemed like time stopped.

Time pathway!

“I will control space and time and become the perfect successor which my master deserves! The absolute” Blink sneered before tossing his dagger at the spatial storm. Successfully stabbing into the orc captain’s skull!

Ruffle!

The Forest ahead began shivering but Blink didn’t look stunned. He seemed to have expected the arrival of these people so he wasn’t worried. He refused to believe the four great kingdoms will only send such as small force to invade the blood mountain.

“If they think the blood mountain has no protector then I will prove them wrong!” Blink bellowed as he stood with a firm look on his face.

...........

Traveling for only God knows how long, Damon searched for the sky palace

Damon followed the compass in his hands and flew towards the clouds. Amongst the clouds, he saw a bright flash, and almost instantly he was pulled in by the powerful force.

Flap!

Damon found himself in a foreign cloudy environment. His eyes seemed tired but calm as he began climbing the cloudy stairs. Damon kept climbing the stairs for a short while before he noticed something strange.

With each step he took, the heavier he became!

Damon calmly scanned the room and after a while, his eyes fell on some strange letters he has never seen before but strangely he could read them easily and clearly.

“The weight of your sins shall be known to all” Damon muttered with a stern look on his face.

The last time he remembered the creation and Destruction dragon was the most powerful of the four dragons of fate. The ancestral dragon is said to control the power of life and death all at once. It is said to be represent the perfect balance which proves that life and death are simply two sides of the same coin.

So why was the test put forward for Damon biased toward him?

The test was clearly meant to bring down the death mage.

Thud!

Damon continued climbing the stairs. His eyes seemed cold as he quickly scaled ten staircases. He kept ascending and when he had gone over fifty staircases. His eyes seemed to be brighter than usual as blood sipped out from all parts of his body.

Blegh!

Damon shivered and staggered back while spitting out a mouthful of blood. He dropped by two stairs before he stopped.

Damons body kept aching as the pain of getting his heart stabbed kept boiling. He knew at this rate he would die but while this is a test, he refused the world would set a test in which he cannot succeed.

He shut his eyes tight as he calmly pondered for a while before opening his eyes in shock.

What if the test was not for him to repent from his sins but to own up to his actions and move on?

For so long it has always been known as a well known fact that the lie between good and evil is so thin it’s practically nonexistent. Once one accepts his actions and the reasons for them, does he really need to think about the approval of others?

Death is absolute

Death is the strongest.

Damon’s eyes slowly opened as the invisible force weighing him down slowly vanished. His body became light again as the voices in his head began clearing.

The more souls he consumes the more voices he has to deal with in his head. But after this encounter, he felt the voices fade. Finally shutting up.

Strange!

Is the dragon of creation and destruction trying to help me?

Damon was stunned by the effects of this little test.

All dragons should consider the guardian spirit hosts as their mortal enemies. So Damon didn’t know why the enemy was trying to help him.

“What is the meaning of this?” Damon asked with a calm look as he kept scaling the stairs with no signs of stopping.

“What exactly do you think the problem is? Last time I checked, it’s our duty to prepare the inheritor of our sealed artifacts. Or do you not know the real suites of we ancient dragons?” A calm voice echoed across the realm.

“Bullshit! I don’t believe that crap” Damon responded without any intention of hiding his intentions.

“You possess the same powers as I do, so it shouldn’t be hard for you to hide your true intentions but don’t you dare take me for a fool” Damon said coldly as he walked to the top of the staircase now to see endless peace and chaos existing in one space.

At the center were a strange-looking silver and black serpent dragon, gazing at Damon with deep emotions hidden within its eyes.

Anyone looking into its eyes may even end up losing their mind and getting lost in its beauty but Damon wasn’t moved. His eyes were like spinning black whirlpools he moved in without fear.

“So tell me what your game is. Don’t you think you have done enough damage?” Damon asked and the strange looking dragon smiled in response.

“I do not share the same ideals with my brother’s so I will have request you judge me based actions and not on my past bloodline and mere rumors” the strange dragon said and Damon frowned.

.......

Bang!

Thud!

Blink landed gracefully but another beam of energy attack raced forward.

Clink!

His hands spun in a circular motion as a circular spatial rift was torn in the space, opening up as the beam smashed into it, getting swallowed entirely!

.....

Got you!

Blink clasped his hand as another spatial rift reopened beside him and the energy beam shot out, racing back toward the enemy forces.

Boom!

Blink staggered back and fell on one knee while breathing heavily. His face was covered in sweat and around his arms was darkish green energy spreading.
