209 Chapter 208: Blink healed
.... Aldian borders....
Atop one of the four great mountains that surround the Elven kingdom stood the Elven queen with members of her Elven court present. Her cold gaze was pinned on the incoming dark army, led by the lady whom she once called daughter and who once called her mother.
“She really came! What do they plan to do by attacking the four kingdoms at a time like this?” Isabella of the Elven court asked with a confused look on her face.
She had known Elsa since the day she was born and she knew she wouldn’t attack the elf race unless attacked.
Elsa has always been a docile and timid girl whose hatred for violence overshadows her hatred for any other thing. She may look young but she has lived for at least fifty years.
During that time, she discouraged the elves from getting involved in so many skirmishes and battles with the other races. Her actions within half a century have saved the lives of thousands. Her strong affinity to nature element makes her the perfect new queen, unfortunately, she is a host.
“You are going against a joint force of powerful races and beings living outside the continent. Dragons, goblins, and more. If the four kingdoms remain as it is now when the main forces of the enemy arrive, it’s only a matter of time before we crumble under their strength since we are separated” Diana of the moon’s cosmic spirit muttered with a straight face but everyone heard her clearly.
“They want to unify the four kingdoms and create something even greater. Something strong enough to stand against the invaders” The Elven queen was as chilled as ice as she saw the army approaching.
The look in her eyes was so casual and natural, one would suspect she was already expecting this even before it happened.
.....
“I knew this would happen when they emerge from their slumber. If I were in their position I would do the same thing” The Elven queen seemed unmoved.
“Don’t tell me you will trust the guardian spirit hosts and hand over the elf kingdom to them?” Crystal asked with a frown but the Elven queen didn’t even bother sparing her a glance.
“And the one I should trust completely is a cosmic spirit host in an invasion led by the old gods and cosmic spirits.... That sounds completely reasonable” The Elven queen sneered at her words and Cyrstal shrank back.
She never expected the Elven queen would come for her from that perspective and even indirectly accuse her of potential betrayal and treason.
The air on the mountain turned tense as Diana and Cyrstal felt threatened by these words. They were still thinking of a way to explain where their loyalty lies but none of it makes sense.
Deep down they were truly loyal to the elves since they were created as elves and they have created a strong bond with this kingdom.
But that does not change the fact that they may lack what it takes to disobey a direct other from the cosmic beings and when the time comes for them to be forced to turn their back on the elves and join their true masters can they really reject?
“Currently the attacking forces are both our foes so I’m sure the cosmic beings won’t turn on us now. By the way, if they are willing to let someone like Archmage Kratos die just to stop Damon from taking Gyro, then I’m pretty sure they will be more than willing to sacrifice you two to protect my kingdom. That’s why I’m still keeping you around” The Elven queen said coldly and the duo frowned.
The sudden change in attitude towards them by the elf queen was a major blow to them. In fact, with the queen stating these facts, all the members of the Elven court were currently gazing at them strangely.
They have lost the trust of the elves and it is only a matter of time before the elves turn on them! If the elf queen can plot to kill her daughter after using her for over half a century, then she most likely won’t hesitate to kill outsiders like them.
Buzzzz!
Just as the atmosphere around the trio was getting even worse a familiar yet different aura swept through them, sending shivers down everyone’s spine including the Elven queen. Their attention shifted to the massive black army and at the center of these large undead forces were two figures. One was dressed in a green robe and had emerald green hair and eyes. From the beginning, they knew it was Elsa so they weren’t moved by her presence.
Right now what caught their attention seemed weaker than Elsa in terms of aura and cultivation base but he had this terrifying air around him that reminded them of only one person in the world.
The death mage!
But who in the world would share the same temperament and demeanor with someone as terrifying as Damon?
Blink!
Buzzzz!
The large undead army parted as a spatial tear appeared in the distance and the figure in white robes emerged with fierce silver eyes. As soon as he stepped foot outside the borders of the Elven kingdom his aura swept past everything as if it was like a third eye to him, granting him even farther and wider vision.
They have seen Blink a couple of times and even Dillian’s attempt to assassinate Blink was also planned by the four kingdoms. Their forces were amongst those who attacked Blink so they knew how capable he was just as well as they knew about his cultivation defect. In fact the very day, Blink showed himself on the battlefield on the very first day, they noticed the cultivation defect but now it was gone!
Swoosh!
The full strength of a champion realm spatial mage could be felt exploding from Blink’s body spreading far and wide. Before he was just a kid who Damon found and no one paid attention to but now he has already been widely accepted as Damon’s successor by the world that once rejected him.
