Playing with other Supernaturals

After blasting the head of the person that Retsu said needed to be eliminated immediately, Furoufushi looked at the fingertip that released the red beam of light, "This modified Byakurai is seriously nasty."

"It's already something dangerous in the hands of a Kidou Master but it's way worse in your hands." Batsu'unsai floated beside her with a hint of rockiness, "How do you guys properly fly like this?"

Furoufushi turned to her and returned a question of her own, "And how do you guys properly strengthen your body with Ki? I've been trying it but it's still more effective for me to use my own Reiatsu."

Soifon sheathed her short katana behind her and also approached the two, "Since this is our first time fighting in this world, why don't we use this chance to practice?"

"I agree." Lisa also approached them, "Aside from the guy in the middle, everyone else looks like they are just normal soldiers. It'll also give us more information about these Etouldes that we'll eventually fight more."

"So, Magic for me?" While asking that, Furoufushi pointed her arm forward and around 30 basic Magic Circles appeared around her and they started releasing multiple volleys of simple compressed Magic Power that exploded upon contact.

As her bombardment reached the other side, they were blocked by a huge barrier made out of Spiritual Power. Because of the volatile reaction that Spiritual Power and Magic Power cause, just a thin barrier was enough to stop the bombardment even though the explosions were enough to cause some major injuries to those behind the barrier. But instead of being disappointed, Batsu'unsai asked in amazement, "So you don't need your Bankai to do something like this!?"

Furoufushi chuckled, "Apparently, I have good compatibility with basic spells. As long as they are simple enough, I can multiply them and keep churning them out. Though I can really only use one spell at a time."

"What about your Magic Power supply? Aside from very few people very compatible with Magic, almost none of the Shinigami have enough Magic Power to do anything substantial." Soifon asked.

"But you can obviously do so much more..." Soifon's eyes widened, "Wait! Could it be!?"

"Yep~! My strange physique carried on even after acquiring a physical body. I have a tiny bit of Magic Power but as soon as I expend it, it instantly replenishes."

"She's basically cheating even in this world." Batsu'unsai muttered in an exasperated voice, "Oh well, let's see how well that barrier can keep up." As soon as she said that, Batsu'unsai stopped flying and created a foothold made out of her Ki under her feet before disappearing with Flash Step.

When she reappeared, the Etoulde and Mercenary forces found her in front of their barrier that was not being bombarded. Batsu'unsai stared down at them and could see fear in their eyes, "What's this? If you're this afraid, why even come out here?"

Since this was a big invasion, she thought she'd see similar eyes as those Quincies she slayed before. They may be her enemies but their fearless charge in hopes to achieve their goals earned them her respect, 'These guys... were they just expecting an easy job? How distasteful."

She pulled her fist back and instead of utilizing her Reiatsu, she gathered the Ki inside her body and circulated it the way she'd normally use Spiritual Power and threw her fist.

The enemies behind the barrier thought that she was insane since this is the infamous Etoulde barrier that destroys most of the Magic-based attacks and spiritually injures anyone who touches it except Evies.

But contrary to their expectations, Batsu'unsai only created a ripple through the barrier. Aside from that, she is seemingly unaffected by its secondary effects.

"W-what is she?" Nuur asked himself loudly. However, he knew that he can't just stay still and hurriedly turned to the Mercenaries, "Mercenaries! It's time for you to do your job! Get out there and take care of her!"

Naturally, the mercenaries hesitated. They were only there for the good pay and thought that this was a relatively easy job of guarding a secret realm. However, what happened just now was very contradictory to their expectations and this was clearly a risk that is too much for the pay they were promised.

They wanted to escape but they also couldn't easily do that because their employer was an Etoulde. If they were to escape from here, they could kiss goodbye to their careers, legally at least.

Batsu'unsai wouldn't just allow them to punch back, "This barrier looks like some Kidou barrier without the sophistication of one. What's the point if it could only block Magic?" She muttered to herself before pulling her fist once more. But instead of Ki, her Reiatsu flared up, so much so that the barrier started shaking even without her touching it.

"...Hah?" Even without detection devices, Nuur couldn't mistake the Spiritual Power weighing down on everyone, "W-what is this monster!?"

With another punch, Batsu'unsai completely shattered the barrier and the Etouldes maintaining it all reeled back before uncontrollably coughing out blood, "Enough practice. These guys seem to be weak against Soul Arts. Finish them off before any of them escape."

'Soul Arts!?' Nuur wanted to know what she meant by that but it was much more important for him to escape. He already sent out an emergency message about the woman in front of him so there's no point in him staying here.

But as soon as he thought of turning around, he found his body refusing to listen, 'Huh?'

When he looked down, his heart skipped a bit... If he still had one, that is. He didn't know what happened but it would seem that his body had started falling down without his head. He couldn't even feel someone grabbing his hair making his head suspended in the air and the last thing he heard before he entirely lost consciousness was another woman's voice behind him, "That seems to be the case. Now I can understand Kisuke's apprehension with these guys. They won't stop until our race is eliminated."

With their leader dead, it became clear that it wouldn't be long before it was their turn and escape had become their top priority.
