Playing with other Supernaturals

The main reason why the Evies are having a hard time subjugating the Etouldes despite having an overwhelming amount of firepower overall isn't just because they can't use Spiritual Power but that they also can't feel it in the first place and the only known Evie who can perceive them directly was Melvazoa.

So how do they defend against it? By watching everything that's happening in the physical realm. Any time an Etoulde uses their ability, they would affect their surroundings in one way or another and in turn, they'll be able to detect the use of Spiritual Power indirectly. Kisuke hypothesized that all the Evies have great senses because it's a form of adaptation against their biggest adversary.

The other Evies immediately responded and attacked Tenjirou but before they could land, he disappeared once again and reappeared beside Ouetsu.

'A foothold and an acceleration technique that doesn't disturb its surroundings except for its two endpoints.' Salmeda immediately guessed after just seeing it once.

When Tenjirou attempted another ambush, he had to fall back because Salmeda was able to anticipate his movements and preemptively attacked the spot where his Flash Step would exit, "Damn... He already saw through it. This really slices through the confidence I have with my Houhou."

"Oh... Maybe I'm too insignificant to be on your records? It happens a lot." Tenjirou replied with a shrug while giving a hint to Ouetsu that he'll be attacking the one who looks like Salmeda's second in command.

"No, you don't." Salmeda suddenly extended his right arm and Tenjirou and Ouetsu immediately felt their bodies' weight multiplying causing their feet to sink into the ground. If not for their timely creation of Reiatsu footholds, they would have sunk even further.

The 3 out of the remaining 9 Evies then used this chance to initiate their own assault on the two unknown individuals but as they approached them, they could see them still rather calm, making them hesitate for a bit.

That hesitation cost them a lot as Ouetsu casually pulled out a sword from his inventory and muttered, "Sae."

As soon as Tenjirou felt the crushing feeling left his body, he unsheathed his Kinpika, "Flash from Illuminating Heavens, Kinpika."

The flash of light from its blade instantly blinded the Evies even though their vision tried adapting to it. What's strange, however, was their other senses were dulled, and the moment the flash of light disappeared they found themselves spinning in mid-air.

They tried generating Magic Power to stabilize themselves but soon found that their cores were inoperable and it was also at that time that they finally noticed that their body was cut into multiple pieces. They wanted to shout for help but soon their heads were also cut into multiple pieces, killing them thoroughly.

Naturally, Salmeda and the other Evies also tried helping them and instead of Tenjirou, Ouetsu directly moved against them, aiming directly at their leader.

Salmeda put forward his left hand and generated a small blue shield on it to meet Oeutsu's sword. Salmeda thought that he'd be able to counterattack once he caught his sword but contrary to his expectations, he was thrown back from the impact at the moment of their contact, "...Huh?"

Salmeda recovered his stance soon enough and landed on the ground while counteracting the 'weightlessness' on him using his own Gravity Magic. However, he was thrown so far back that he's a few hundred feet away from his subordinates, and one of their targets, the one who just attacked him is now standing in front of him.

"You can counter my Gravity Magic to some extent, but don't think that it'll be enough to take me on alone. Or are you perhaps trying to buy time for your comrade to defeat my subordinate? I'd have to disappoint you, but as long as Besutei is with them, they won't be defeated." Salmeda proudly declared. It was also at this moment that he noticed that his subordinates and direct underling, who is a member of the Atrocity Fanatics, Besutei started chasing after the other guy and away from them.

Nevertheless, Oeutsu only chuckled and put away his Sae back to his inventory while also pulling out another blade. This blade, however, didn't have a sheathe, "You're undoubtedly strong, and from the looks of it, most of the Gotei 13 Captains and Lieutenants won't even be able to give you a scratch."

"I don't understand your metrics but I can tell that you're complimenting me." Despite his words, Salmeda didn't really feel anything from it. But since Ouetsu wanted to talk he just let him as it was helpful to his main objective of gathering more information about the unknown individuals who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"And compared to the members of the Zero Division, I'm the weakest one as I can't use Bankai." Ouetsu took a step forward, "Due to all the experiments that I've done before I was able to finish the first Asauchi, my soul has become so twisted that I won't be able to awaken an Asauchi on my own."

All of a sudden, the air around Ouetsu changed, "Even if an Asauchi observes my soul, they won't be able to get anything out of it, hence, the inability for it to form a name. But thanks to Ichibei Hyousube, I was able to forge blades with predetermined names that allowed them to develop unique abilities that I envisioned during the forging process."

Salmeda doesn't really get it but a bad premonition has started to clutch his consciousness, "And one of those blades with unique abilities is the sword you're holding?" Nevertheless, Salmeda was still confident with his invulnerability as even someone dangerous like the matriarch of the Luxeux clan had no way of breaking his defense.

Ouetsu suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of Salmeda with his blade raised into the air, "Yep. This girl's ability is to be sharp."

"Hmmph." Salmeda just snorted at him and a blue bubble appeared around him, "What a lousy ability."

Ouetsu chuckled, "Hear that, Sayafushi? You'll have to change his mind." In an instant, the air around Ouetsu drastically changed once again. As he swung down, the sword in his hand completely tore apart the bubble that Salmeda was very proud of, "...Huh?"

However, that's not what made his mind blank. The bubble he conjured was just a very small part of his defense and didn't really care even if it was torn open. Salmeda only watched the blade approach his head, the hardest part of his body, and he was thinking of mocking Ouetsu after perfectly blocking his 'sharp' sword.

Fear couldn't even settle in his mind when the sword made contact with his helmet and it didn't stop its downward momentum. It happened so fast that Salmeda didn't even realize that he was already divided into two.

Ouetsu didn't stop there and swung Sayafushi multiple times more as he landed on the ground, chopping the Evie that's very proud of his defense into a hundred pieces.

As the clueless and lifeless Earth Prime Monarch completely collapsed on the ground, Ouetsu turned around and returned Sayafushi back to his inventory while also reeling in his wildly flaring Spiritual Pressure that could be felt all around the globe, "You truly are strong and could even have made Tenjirou helpless. Sadly, It was a bad match and you're too proud of yourself. Furthermore, I don't really have the hobby of seeing my opponents reach their limits." Ouetsu muttered while walking away from his opponent and fixing his shades.
