Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 747 - 747: Red Mountain“That was the last of them.” Kent smiled and walked toward the body of a flame tiger. He took the flame spirit and handed it over to Dorren.
They had just completed the third mapped zone and shared the flames with them.
The second zone had ten beasts, and at that time, Kent had to help them. But the third had only seven, so he made them handle it. Thankfully, with their soul flames already at the 5th Tier, their attacks were much more powerful.
Of course, they are good warriors with versatile skills. Dorren uses the sword just like Arion and Norion. Cyran uses the bow like Madea and Princess Elowen.
Kent was surprised when he saw her pull out a bow. Of course, he knew the elves mainly were archers, so he didn’t look too shocked. As for Helyra, she is a mage just like Elia.
So they have some good skills up their sleeves.
Judging by how they fought, Kent knew they had each faced some form of danger, and that made them grow as individuals. This made shaping them into monsters easy.
He had already started to see some changes. Of course, his main training plan will be handled by his legion, but for now, he is giving them the basics.
So far, he has seen some progress because they managed to handle the seven beasts more easily. But Kent knew that the moment they entered the core region, things would change.
This meant he had to get involved personally.
“We have just one more stop to make before entering the core region.” They nodded and flew away, heading to their final destination in the inner region.
They flew toward a mountain standing several kilometers high.
“Isn’t that the Red Mountain?” Cyran asked when the mountain came into view, even from several miles back.
“Yes, that is the Red Mountain,” Norion answered, looking slightly weary.
“I heard of it too, but never dared to come here. Now, looking at it, I know I made the right decision.” Elia smiled, looking at the mountain looming close as they moved.
“You indeed made the right decision. I learned that a powerful beast is living in this mountain. I learned from the adventurers guild that coming within two miles of this mountain is to ask for death… now we are getting closer.” Dorren couldn’t help but shake a little.
“Uhm, Kent, what are we doing here?” Princess Elowen asked.
“You will see in a bit,” Kent smiled as he sped up. Naturally, he wasn’t looking to make them fight whatever would be coming out. However, he wanted them to feel the pressure and the danger.
As expected, the moment they got within two meters of the mountain, it shuddered, and a terrifying pressure descended on them. They all came to a halt and then landed on the scorching hot ground.
“Who dares evade my domain?” A voice came from the mountain, causing the half-elves to shudder.
Kent smiled, feeling something new.
This pressure wasn’t like the pressure from the other beasts he had killed. This one, though primal, had some refinement to it. It was as if it belonged to someone who had cultivated with purpose and understanding.
And while he knew this pressure belonged to a beast, he knew this one had an innate talent like the Beastkins he had met.
This meant the beast speaking was more than it appeared. Kent intended to find out more…
“We didn’t intend to intrude into the senior’s domain. Sorry if we offend you,” Kent spoke, wanting to see if his suspicion was justified.
The pressure remained, causing the half-elves to pale. Of course, the pressure from a beast that had already completed seven refinings was no easy target.
And judging by how powerful it felt, Kent knew the pressure was coming from a beast that had long refined all seven cores, perhaps hundreds of years ago.
However, Kent also wanted to know more about the beast before making any drastic decision. Thankfully, the response he gave the beast took the pressure off.
“Leave,” the beast spoke, and Kent nodded. However, he didn’t move, which caused the half-elves to wonder what was going through his mind. A few seconds later, the pressure returned, but this time, with a presence.
When the figure appeared in the air, all eight half-elves dropped to their knees. Even Kent felt the pressure. However, instead of feeling pressured, he smiled.
“No need to become hostile, senior. I didn’t come here to fight you. You can treat this meeting as a fateful one because I believe we are destined to meet.”
The figure was a man with long red hair, around fifty years old, considering that based on his appearance, he had long passed the youthful age.
But he was packing some muscle, and judging by the horns on his head and the large tail behind him, even fear would cause one to run away at the sight of him.
He was close to three meters tall, and in his hand, an axe so big that Kent knew it would take considerable strength to wield.
The beast of a man was a flame drake in the process of becoming a dragon, and judging by the pressure it emitted and the strength coursing through him, he had already reached the stage most dragons couldn’t dream of.
The only thing left now was to take that final step and become a dragon.
Kent suspected this phenomenon when he felt the pressure. This gave him a reason not to attack immediately, for he wanted this beast on his side.
Killing him would be a waste.
Of course, it would be a good fight for Kent, since though he knew he could trounce him, the drake, staring at him, was no easy target
The drake, now in his human form, looked down at Kent with an expression filled with primal fury. However, deep within his soul, he knew attacking the human wouldn’t end well for him.
And as a beast who was halfway to becoming a dragon, he knew dying now was not an option. But aside from that, for some reason, he felt Kent was no human… not even a monster. The human staring at him was a beast unlike any other.
He felt it, and now, he would have to make a decision.
‘Be happy, Uncle Drake, the meeting today is a great fortune that not many beasts could afford.
And since I can’t show that I’m a dragon because I plan to put humans back on the map, I will need your help to handle the dragons.’
Kent smiled cheerfully, knowing he would be getting the best of both worlds regardless of what decision the drake made.
