Kent and Agni sat down.

He was brought into the realm he was in now for a reason. So while Kent would love to be worshipped by a demigod, he wanted to know the reason why he was there.

“First of all, I am thrilled to be talking to you now, even if this is just a strand of my consciousness. If my real body is still out there, which I know for sure it is, then soon, he will be made aware of your presence and look for you once you reach an immortal world,” Agni said with a smile, causing Kent to shake his head.

“I look forward to meeting the real you one of these days. But can we get on with the main reason why I am here?”

Agni smiled and then got down to business. The faster he was done with that, the more he could learn about Kent.

“You are here because of a flame technique that I stole many years ago.” Kent raised his brow, and Agni smiled, wearing a guilty expression.

“I have a reason for doing so.”

“I sure would love to know why you did that, so why don’t you start sharing?”

“Of course.” Agni changed his sitting posture. “So, several years back, when I had just become an Early Immortal, an ancient rift opened, and in the immortal worlds, all we do is explore ancient rifts to find treasures.

I happened to enter this rift thanks to the influence of a few friends, despite my initial hesitation. However, after I entered, we discovered it wasn’t an ordinary rift.

This one came from the Primordial Era, specifically the ancient primordial era, the time of the six true primordials.

The rift led to a chunk of the domain that used to belong to the Ancient Flame Beast King, Heliux.

He was one of the True Primordials and the creator of the legendary technique, [Finger of Destruction]. His legend is known by many and worshipped by many during the Primordial Era.

And this rift we entered led to his domain.

Of course, not everything is as simple as it appears.

While this ancient rift was initially rewarding and beneficial to us, something unexpected happened, triggering a huge battle within this domain.

It was one of the gravest battles I witnessed and ultimately participated in. However, while I could brag and say I had it easy, the truth was that the battle nearly ended me.

I nearly died. However, when things were turning grim for me, something awakened from the depths of the ancient rift, putting the battle to bed for a couple of hours.

At first, nobody recognized what had awakened, but during the awakening process, somebody read the name written on the tome.

It turns out that the tome contains the Legendary Finger of Destruction technique created by the true lord of the Flame.

You can already guess what happened. Everybody wanted to get the technique, but only one person could have it. So the battle resumed, and in the end, the tome was destroyed, or more like shattered into seven pieces,” Agni smiled.

“Now, this is where I came in. Due to the chaos, I chose to run away, and I did. I wasn’t going to kill myself competing with True Immortals and Lord Immortals.

So I ran, and in the process, a chunk of the slab fell into my path. Naturally, I didn’t leave empty-handed.

However, that was a bad idea, since the moment I managed to get a chunk, I became a target. I am sure, to this day, they are still hunting me.

Of course, they will never stop hunting after me, because while the tome was divided into seven forms, I happened to get the part that contains the first form of the [Finger of Destruction] technique.

This means nobody can learn the other forms they got. Of course, many tried; some even managed to learn, but they couldn’t capture the true essence of the technique.

Even so, they somehow managed to get something out of it.

Of course, in a twisted kind of way, when I brought this technique this far, suppressing myself as a mortal to learn it, I discovered the bitter truth, one that broke me.” Agni laughed again, looking at Kent.

Kent, of course, could already tell the reason he couldn’t learn the technique. It wasn’t too hard to guess. “Let me guess. To learn the technique, you must start when your flame comprehension is at the weak stage.”

Agni just smiled, nodding.

The pain was evident in his eyes. He suffered only to end up with nothing. The technique that immortals, demi-gods, gods, and even the supreme hunted him down for hundreds of thousands of years turned out to be useless to him.

“To be able to learn this technique, you must meet some requirements. One of them is to be at the weak stage for both flame comprehension and resistance.

The second is to create 108,000 Flame Veins, and the last is to form seven Flame Cores.

Back then, I was already at the Immunity Resistance stage, and my comprehension was already at the Transcendent stage.

Even my Flame Veins were only 69,000 and had only formed 3 Flame Cores. I was not suited for the technique, so I did what I could to prevent it from falling into the hands of my enemies.

I buried it here with hopes that one day, somebody worthy of reaching the fifth level of the Flame Tower can give it a shot.

Kent smiled. “Say, what is the grade of this legendary technique?”

“So far as I am aware, the Finger of Destruction technique is a Primordial-grade technique, the strongest grade a skill or technique can reach in the known universe.”

“Damn.”

Kent felt the weight of the discovery press down on him. He always thought Celestial grade was the peak, but it turns out things are much bigger than he expected.

However, things wouldn’t be as simple as they sound. Several variables are at play here.

The first being the attainment of flame resistance and comprehension. He already has that in the bag.

However, that is the only place his brilliance stops.

The second requirement sounded like a lot of pain. He must create 108,000 flame veins, and the ultimate goal is to form 7 Flame Cores.

That is just too much even for him. However, he also understood that being given a Primordial-grade technique on a silver platter was already too much of a gift.

It wasn’t something he could ignore easily.

“If I were to embark on this journey, I suppose my flame resistance and comprehension will stagnate at the Weak stage until I manage to form the 108,000 Flame Veins and seven Flame Cores,” Kent asked, and Agni nodded.

“But that is just the thing. No matter how disappointing that may sound, the end justifies the means. Forming just one Flame Core will give you so much that you can’t even start to fathom just how any of it was possible.”

Kent nodded. “Tell me more about Flame Veins and Flame Cores.”
