Chapter 2365: Hunting

Drik watched as one member after another of his team signed the contract.

Of course, there are still some people who are reluctant to do it. Sam didn't ask them again either. Drik struggled a bit to choose if should sign it or not. But after some thought and getting enough of Sam's cold gaze, he made a decision.

He signed the contract.

"I hope you know what you are doing with these contracts. You are just making your situation worse with every action of yours."

"It was never good to begin with. So, you can save the advice."

"I hope you can swallow all that you just bit."

"Don't worry, my appetite is the best there is."

After the signing is over, Sam looked at seven people who didn't sign and have stubborn expressions on their faces. Four of them belong to different Olympian academies and the remaining three are from Norse.

"You can leave this place. I advise you to not try and imitate what I am going to do here. But be rest assured, no matter what happens, you will not be getting out of here with my help. I will stop you, even if it means killing you.

If you come across other people that strayed and couldn't find their way here, tell them that the same thing I told you.

They had their chance and they blew it. Now, they have to live with the consequences."

One of the seven people is a woman who looked at Sam hatefully and spat through gritted teeth.

"You think you can do whatever you want? Try and kill me if you dare. Do you know who I am?"

"Yes, I do. The daughter of the Heimdall academy's dean and the grand elder. Also the heir to two of the most prominent families under the Norse region. I know you better than you think madam Yagrit."

Yagrit was stunned and then quickly came back to her senses and sneered.

"You just admitted under the surveillance of all the Deans including my parents that you will kill me if I tried to get out of this pocket dimension. You think, you can get away from this?"

Sam chuckled and stared at her. He didn't have to explain in detail about his position. He knew and even she knew whatever he said here wouldn't hold much weight, and it will depend solely on his actions.

In fact, that is what she was aiming to do.

Her position is way too sensitive for her to sign such an absurd contract. It might not seem like much, but it will shake up the power balance of the entire Norse affiliated families and organizations if some outsider gets a hold of her position and power.

Even though Sam mentioned that he will not be inheriting the position and privileges, properties and businesses are what provide weight for her position, so he will still get some authority which could be critical.

That is the reason, he was tried to see if he will be threatened.

However, Sam didn't care. It is just more enemies, he already has enough of them and it won't matter if he adds some more.

In fact, he was hoping that he could make more enemies. That is the whole reason why he came here in the first place. He looked at the people who signed the contracts. There are a lot more than he thought.

He quickly assigned them to different tasks.

He set up a second formation nearby and told them to lure the low-level skeletal creatures in there. The formation will help accelerate the regeneration process of these skeletal creatures. Their task is to increase the strength of the skeletons until they reach the black level.

Once they do, it will be transferred to the main formation, where Sam and his original team will beat them until they are destroyed.

It accelerated the process by a lot. The people who didn't sign the contract with them, didn't stay there. They knew that it would be dangerous if Sam willed to kill them. He can just lure one of the black skeletons to their way and they would be done for.

So, they kept a safe distance, an eye on Sam and his operation, all the while trying their best to survive without getting injured.

Sam and his now much larger team are working with regular intervals in between. They knew it will take days before they finished it, so they didn't rush forward. They took their time and put their safety first.

And in every break, Sam left the formation and went out into the pocket dimension.

He didn't take anyone else with him, he didn't say anything about what he is going to do. He just went and came back after some time.

They were curious but they didn't ask.

However, every break Sam took made hearts of the elders and Deans outside race like a river.

And it started right from the first break he took after he came out of the formation from dealing with half a dozen skeletal creatures.

He silently left flying in a certain direction. While the team members didn't care, the spectators did. They observed him as he reached a certain location. They wanted to know what is up with it and noticed that someone is there in the vicinity.

It is not too far away from the place where he set up his formation.

One of the people that didn't sign contract with Sam has set up a concealment formation there and is spying on them. Sam appeared not too far away from him and concealed himself.

From that concealment, he took some formation nodes out and placed a formation in the area. He moved stealthily and took his sweet time setting up. Soon, he made a circle around the guy in hiding. The nodes created a formation.

There is no glowing barrier and there is no restriction imposed. That guy didn't even notice the presence of formation and he still has an eye on Sam's activities.

Sam went back and continued his operations.

The spectators are puzzled. However, after some time they realized what he had done.

A black skeleton rushed to the position of that man. However, no matter how close the skeleton got, the man didn't react. It is almost like his senses are not working.

*BAM*

The skeleton slammed its fist into his back and only then did he react. He tried to dodge, but the hit still went through. He was injured and became immobile. The skeleton proceeded further with its attacks.

While everyone is watching, the skeleton killed the guy in the most gruesome way possible.

In the same way, Sam kept on taking breaks and every time he took a break, a life was lost. Even when everyone came to know that the pocket dimension is blocked, the elders didn't complain much. If the things are really out of their hands, they cannot do much and can only think of how to benefit after the fact.

But from what they saw, they knew there is a way out.

They knew that Sam can really bring them out if he wished. That made this current situation

very rage inducing.

However, they knew they couldn't do shit. All they could do is glare at Chorus and the rest of

the group.

Time passed.

Sam kept on taking breaks and people kept on dying. Of course, not all the people inside the pocket dimension are unaware of it. Particular, Yagrit who kept a close eye on Sam's activities noticed this. For some reason, Sam didn't really cover his tracks that well.

Yagrit went after him one time and saw how he lured a black skeleton to deal with another participant. This made her heart turn cold.

She knew that sooner or later, Sam is going to make his way towards her. So, she set herself up with a sturdy concealment formation and readied all kinds of trinkets that her parents gave

her.
