“Uzumaki Naruto of Konohagakure and Itsuki of Sunagakure… please come to the arena,” announced ‘Itachi,’ calling the participants for the final match of the quarterfinals.

Shortly after their names were called, Naruto and Itsuki entered the arena, standing opposite each other.

‘Itachi’ looked at the two and asked, “Are you both ready?”

“Yes.”

“Yes.”

Both nodded one after the other, and Naruto quickly added, “Itachi-sensei, make sure the barrier formation protecting the crowd and village from ninjutsu is strong enough… otherwise, someone might get hurt.”

Itsuki narrowed his eyes in confusion. ‘What does he mean by that?’ he wondered, unsure of Naruto’s intent.

‘Itachi,’ however, glanced at Naruto briefly before responding, “You don’t need to worry about that. Ensuring the safety of the audience is the responsibility of the management, and we’ve made the necessary preparations. Even a Rank-S ninjutsu won’t be able to penetrate the barrier formation.”

Given the participation of powerful figures like Darui and Raijin, who could use Rank-S ninjutsu, Deidara with his Dust Release, and Temari, who is capable of using Scorch Release, the management had to take stringent measures to contain any collateral damage and ensure the safety of the audience and the village. He was personally involved in all of this and made sure to not cut any corners, therefore, ‘Itachi’ was confident in the arrangements.

The clones at the forefront immediately began weaving hand signs. Taking a deep breath, they inflated their stomachs and cheeks before releasing a powerful Jutsu: ‘Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!’

Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa!

Massive gusts of wind, resembling miniature hurricanes, surged toward Itsuki, blowing away everything in their path.

“Useless,” murmured Itsuki, unfazed. Controlling the black Iron Sand cloaking him, he manipulated it into a solid shield to block Naruto’s attack. ‘Iron Sand: Black Sand Barrier!’

Boom!

The gusts of wind clashed against the Iron Sand shield with tremendous force.

While Naruto’s Jutsu was powerful, it wasn’t enough to break through the barrier. A few cracks formed on the shield, but they were quickly repaired by Itsuki’s precise control over the Iron Sand.

“Heh, as expected… Shikamaru was right. This isn’t going to be easy,” murmured one of the Naruto clones as he observed his Wind Style Jutsu being rendered ineffective. However, he didn’t seem bothered. The ‘Great Breakthrough’ was merely a distraction to buy time for the real attack.

As the gusts were blocked, dozens of Naruto clones—each holding a Rasengan—charged toward Itsuki, shouting:

“Here comes the main attack!”

“Let’s see you handle this!”

“Ora! Ora! Ora!”

While Itsuki was busy blocking the ‘Great Breakthrough,’ Naruto seized the opportunity to create dozens of Rasengan and launch an attack on him.

“Still useless,” Itsuki muttered under his breath as he manipulated the Iron Sand around him. With a flick of his hands, the sand transformed into a pair of massive wings. ‘Iron Sand: Black Iron Wings!’

With the wings propelling him, Itsuki soared into the air, putting distance between himself and Naruto’s clones. From above, he unleashed a relentless barrage of Iron Sand bullets aimed at the clones below. ‘Iron Sand: Black Iron Shower!’

Itsuki didn’t need precise aim with the rain of Iron Sand bullets; all he had to do was blanket the area, and that’s exactly what he did.

Sha! Sha! Sha! Sha! Sha!

The sound of the rapid-fire bullets echoed throughout the arena as they rained down on Naruto’s Shadow clones, tearing through them.

Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff! Puff!

Naruto’s Shadow Clones tried to dodge the incoming iron sand bullets, but against such a relentless barrage, they were helpless and were destroyed one after another.

Seeing their comrades fall, the dozen Shadow Clones who had previously used ‘Great Breakthrough’ quickly formed hand seals and unleashed the same Jutsu again.

‘Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!’

Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa! Fwaaa!

The powerful gusts of wind not only blocked the iron sand bullets but also targeted Itsuki in midair.

“Hm?” Itsuki narrowed his eyes as he saw the attack coming. He immediately tried to ascend higher to escape the range of the wind Jutsu, but the Shadow Clones simply adjusted their aim by tilting their heads, keeping him within range and forcing him to defend.

“Tch!” Clicking his tongue in frustration, Itsuki raised both hands and created an iron sand shield.

‘Iron Sand: Black Sand Barrier!’

“Now’s my chance…” murmured one of the remaining Shadow Clones.

Taking advantage of the distraction, several Naruto clones used bursts of Chakra under their feet to propel themselves high into the air, closing the distance behind Itsuki and attacking him with the Rasengan in their hands, ‘Rasengan Barrage!’ aiming to strike from behind.

“Still useless!” Itsuki muttered under his breath as he quickly manipulated the iron sand around him, forming multiple sharp spikes that tore through the incoming Shadow Clones wielding Rasengan.

But instead of vanishing instantly, the clones smirked despite the spikes piercing through their bodies.

“Maybe not as useless as you think!” one of them said with a grin.

“Huh?” Itsuki’s eyes narrowed in confusion. Something felt off. Then, a realization struck him like a lightning bolt.

“Don’t tell me… you all are—”

“You guessed it… but it might be a little too late,” all the clones said in unison, raising their hands.

‘Clone Great Explosion: Release!’

That’s right. They weren’t ordinary Shadow Clones. They were explosive Shadow Clones.

“Damn it!” Itsuki cursed, his eyes widening in horror as the clones suddenly detonated.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Konohagakure Waiting Room

“Is it over?” Ino murmured, watching the series of explosions created by Naruto’s detonating Shadow Clones.

Shikamaru shook his head thoughtfully. “I don’t think so…”

And he was right.

As the smoke cleared, there was no sign of Itsuki falling unconscious or injured back into the arena. Instead, a black sphere floated in the air—a clear sign that the battle was far from over.
