The masked man nodded, “After a long gruesome war, the Uchiha and the Senju reached an agreement and finally founded Konoha. At that time, Senju Hashirama wanted me to become the Shodaime Hokage, however, Tobirama, the rest of the Senju Clan, and the other Clans that joined the village were opposed to this idea, and as a result, Hashirama ended up becoming the Shodaime Hokage. Itachi asked curiously, “And Nagato’s approach is your answer?”

“In a way, and the things that transpired in the Shinobi World have proven that Hashirama’s approach was wrong, the first great shinobi war, the second great shinobi war, and the third great shinobi war… but that’s not what I am here to talk about,” said the masked man, and spoke after a pause, “Not long after that fight, Senju Tobirama who became the Nidaime Hokage of Konoha established the Konoha Military Police Force, and made the Uchiha Clan responsible for the security within the village, restraining the Clan within the village, while keeping them occupied with something, as a result, Konoha became Uchiha Clan’s cage.

A lion inside a cage might be the king of animals, but it lacks the courage and fangs of a beast.
