Chapter 1680: Another Battle

—–

There were roughly a hundred Giant Fire Ant Warriors and Soldiers surrounding the large red colored spire, which was at least twice as big as the previous two nests they raided and covered in flames.

Aquarina and Agua also noticed several blazing runes imprinted into the ground, turning the area into a semi-volcanic landscape. Flames erupting through cracks underground, and there could even be some magma underground, which only made things worse for the ecosystem of the jungle.

“This is really bad! We cannot let those ants continue spreading their flames everywhere, the entire jungle might get burned like that… Even worse, the underground sediments are all going to get destroyed by their excessive digging. The entire delicate ecosystem created here is in great danger…!”

Agua’s words were filled with a feeling of dread and desperation. It seemed that the ants at the farthest reaches of the village had already begun a whole terraforming project and were planning to just turn this entire area into their perfect volcanic landscape.

As these were fire-attribute monsters, Giant Fire Ants had no necessity to drink water nor even eat any vegetation, really. They feed mostly on underground ores and hunt giant creatures from time to time to burn and eat once they’re as black as charcoal.

“It is indeed pretty damn bad!” Nodded Aquarina. “I guess this is why the Great Spirit of the Oasis wanted us to get them done quickly, huh?”

“Well, no time to waste then!” Said Silvia. “We better hurry and get it done, right? After that we’re returning back home for dinner!”

“Already thinking about food again? We just had lunch, Silvia…” Justicio sighed, looking at her while raising an eyebrow.

“I-It doesn’t mean I’m hungry right now or something!” Silvia said while growing redder in embarrassment.

“Anyway, we should go there and surprise them,” said Pyuku. “Agua can destroy those underground and we take care of the Queen together.”

“Good idea,” Aquarina nodded. “Alright team, let’s do this! Agua, like we talked, just stay behind and save your Mana and Energies.”

“Okay!” Agua nodded. “Should I go with you though?”

“Yeah, come with us. Your spirit, Shelly is a bit too small to protect you yet though, so Leviathan here will take care of you,” Aquarina said. “Undine, you come with me this time.”

“Okay, master~!” Undine quickly flew towards Aquarina, while Leviathan grew to a large, intimidating size and let Agua sit over his back, while flying in the skies and overseeing the battle beneath.

“Let’s do this!”

The group charged forward without any further ado, as Aquarina let Undine possess her body through the [Elemental Spirit Vessel] Skill they had developed together while training. In that time Aquarina had to push through thousands of boulders and reach the surface from an underground hole.

In that time, Undine and Leviathan had possessed her body and constantly remained inside of her body infusing her with spiritual energies and great quantities of magic and spiritual power, allowing her resiliency and stamina to increase dramatically.

Now, with even only with Undine, with the Skill at such a high level as it was now at level 7, the effects were immense, the moment the spirit turned into pure energy and infused itself into her body, Aquarina’s aura erupted, resembling a swirling sea around her.

And by releasing it all in front of her, she unleashed a powerful spell!

“{Spirit Ocean Magic}: {Sapphire Tsunami}!”

SPLAAAASH!

An immense downpour of cold water filled with sapphire-like ice crystals was unleashed, splashing over half of the Ants within the vicinity, while the water encompassed them and immediately cooled down more than half of their numbers, some of them beginning to even freeze!

“No way! Aquarina don’t kill them all yet!” Silvia said angrily.

“We better hurry or she’ll take them down all on her own then!” Justicio said.

“She’s like that I guess,” Pyuku smiled. “Let’s see…”

As the three reached the ground right after Aquarina, the daughter of the Hero of the Stone Hammer and the Hero of Shadows was already devastating the weakened ants.

Unlike before, Aquarina didn’t even give them a second to recover or use weird techniques, rushing forward and using her techniques, spells, and skills to devastate dozens at a time.

“This time we’re going to speed up things a little bit more!”

“{Abyssal Sea Fist Arts}: {Sea Serpent’s Fangs}!”

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

Each one of her punches released gigantic shockwaves resembling sea serpents, piercing the bodies of the ant warriors with ease and leaving them covered with holes, killing them on the spot.

As the ants dropped to the ground one after another, Aquarina leaped in midair, evading an incoming weak attack from three other ants, which she quickly dispatched with magic.

“{Spiritual Ocean Magic}: {Aqua Trident}!”

She fired three sharp tridents made of swirling spiritual water and ice, blowing through their heads with them and killing them on the spot.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Once she was done with that, she rushed towards the nearby group of over twenty more ants, using her fists, legs, and her long draconic tail, Aquarina devastated them in masse, sending dozens of ants flying away, either frozen and shattered into pieces, or covered with holes.

“Dammit Aquarina, you’re stealing all the spotlight!”

Silvia grew frustrated, as she rapidly covered her body with her golden mechanical armor and started flying with her propulsors in her metallic heels, flying rapidly and then sprouting a pair of mechanical wings for better maneuver.

While doing this, she manifested two mechanical hammers, rushing down and smashing the head of two ants at the same time, which were about to launch fireballs at Agua above the skies.

BAAAAM! BAAAAM!

Both ants were crushed into pieces as they died on the spot, showcasing just how massively strong Silvia had become after she obtained her physique!

At the same time Justicio rushed through the battlefield nearby, using his insectoid wings from his physique’s armor to quickly reach a group of fire ants that had yet to be weakened by Aquarina’s water.

“Alright! Come at me!”

As he roared, his armor transformed into red and orange color, turning into its giant fire ant form, as he absorbed all the fireballs attacks, concentrating them within his body and then, releasing them as an explosive strike with his axe.

SLAAASH!

With that accumulated power, Justicio unleashed a mighty slicing attack that split through foes and blew them up into pieces.

BOOOMMM!!!
