Indeed she had never thought in such a way. How could she? She was more disheartened by the fact that they could be so shameless and never thought about the inner meanings of such a thing.

She lacked both the experience that Klautz had, and the know-how that Benton possessed. It was a field that she was forever at odds with.

'Well, this doesn't work against me either. So it's fine to let it happen.'

Klautz goal was to influence the second gen rather than the newbies. The newbies were easy to sway. Their opinions about things were forever in chaos that could be changed anytime with  a little effort and the right resources..

'The more the people that stand together, the more foolish they become as a group. It is easy to spread rumors and influence their opinions. Not to mention that they have no unity in their opinions, making them vulnerable.'

The newbies were brought together by a shared means of existence and birth. But such bonds that existed between them were quite weak and vulnerable and were subjected to exploitation.

And why won't it be? After all, the whole newbie camp was built on this very idea of exploitation.

From, very beginning they were being slowly divided only to be controlled later on. Every part of it was a scheme.

It all began with the different rank that was given to them and hence the different incomes creating discord amongst them with the lower ranks burning with jealousy and the higher ranks watching the low one with disdain.

And then it went a step further when they were divided into groups of five severing their connection with those whom they trust. At first it might seem that the team was well balanced. But that was hardly the case. It was just a pile of 5 different people of different ranks piled up together. The rest could be anyone's guess.

The balancing of the team just came as a side effect from there being 5 people of different ranks and levels.

'At the end of the day the newbie camp had turned to nothing but a huge ploy. And it is just the beginning, things haven't reached the climax yet.'

Had Klautz known that the newbie camp was originally for a noble cause brought about by Benton's master he would have laughed out aloud. But he would have also wondered.

Who was the one that had left the camp in such a state making it have nothing but evil and selfish motives?

That was a question both Klautz and Benton would have to ask themselves. For now it was just a mystery.

All Klautz knew was that he saw no worth in dealing with them at such an early stage.

'My goal is to influence the second gen not the newbies which is much harder but to crack.' Klautz reminded himself of how hard the path he was walking on was.

Klutz's eyes turned towards Shizu as a certain thought crossed his mind. A means to further his goals. Now that Shizu had started calling him 'Brother', he can ask a favor or two from his little sister can't he?

"Shizu, can you do a little work for me?" Klautz asked, the air around him turning solemn.

"Sure!" Shizu squeaked, finding something that she could do, relieving the guilt she felt.

She was looking for an opportunity to make up for Klautz's loss due to the rumors and cheer him up. After all, no one should be left sad in the newbie camp. It was heaven for her compared to hell back home.

"Come here."

Klautz beckoned to her, causing Selena to widen her eyes in shock. Unfortunately she ended up with the conclusion that the 'favor' that Klautz was going to ask from his 'sister' wasn't something lawful.

'Oh my God! Is he really?'

But she soon found her worries to be unfound as all Klautz did was bent close to her and whispered something into her ears.

What was it that needed to be hid from her? There was no one other than her in the room after all. Selena was curious about the contents of the discussion but she chose not to pry on it.

'She won't be able to keep it in her stomach for long anyway. I will get to know about it soon.'

Spending a lot of time with her, Selena understood her quite well. Or at least the part of her that she chose to show Selena.

But never once did Selena feel that the girl was a fake. But that was her own opinion. After all, she could only rely on her own instincts to survive. She might be wrong or she may be right. But in the end it would be her own fault if she gets into trouble.

Was Shizu to be trusted? That was a question even Klautz had on his mind. For now she was just a money bank for him.

It was then that Klautz pulled away.

"Can I trust you on this?"

Shizu nodded fervently as if her life depended on it.

"Yes, leave it to me."

Without a second thought she left the room. *sigh*

  Klautz sighed.

No matter how strong he is compared to Shizu there are some things that he would never be able to equate to the second gen and he had wholeheartedly accepted that and moved forward. There was no point in being conceited about something that can't be changed.

'She seemed to be admiring me and also grateful to me for some reason. Was my victory a big deal for her?'

Being a second gen the road that laid in front of her was eased out compared to the one Klautz was walking which was riddled with thorns.

'As such there were some things that Shizu could accomplish much more easily than me.'
