Chapter 1028 - 1028: A Midsummer Night’s Dream [Part 1]

“Hi, handsome, what’s your name?” A pretty succubus asked as she hugged Derek’s arm, making the sweet-summer-child’s face turn beet red.

“D-Derek,” Derek replied, overwhelmed by the soft sensation on his arm.

The succubus giggled, trailing a finger lightly along his sleeve. “You have a nice name. I hope we can get to know each other better.”

Derek’s eyes darted to Thirteen, silently giving his Master a thumbs up in his heart.

He had always wanted to visit places like cabarets and host clubs, but his Party Members refused to accompany him on his ventures.

Not too far from him, Vincent and Penny happily chatted with two beauties on each arm, looking like hardened veterans who had fought countless battles in the art of flirtation.

Roland, who was still struggling with the idea of spending a night with Princess Laventia, didn’t know where to look.

All the succubi were clad in elegant yet revealing gowns, hugging the curves of their bodies in ways that made the mind wander and the heart race.

The air was thick with the scent of exotic perfumes mixed with faint traces of magic, intoxicating, seductive, and impossible to ignore.

Roland’s gaze kept flicking between Laventia’s beautiful face and smile, and the luxurious room they were currently at, as if searching for a secret escape route he could use if things were to go south.

Vincent, noticing his friend’s discomfort, gave him a knowing grin. “Relax, Roland. You’ll do fine. Do not forget that we are doing this for the sake of humanity. These ladies may have my body, but they will never have my heart.”

“Oh dear, is that a challenge?” The Succubus traced circles on the young man’s chest, giggling because she found Vincent’s antics cute.

“My lady, I assure you that after you have a taste of what I have to offer, you will never forget me for the rest of your life,” Vincent said with confidence.

“No fair, why are you only challenging her?” the succubus, whom Vincent was hugging with his left hand, complained. “But I can’t help but think that you’re just all talk. Do you really have what it takes to back your words?”

“I haven’t received any complaints so far,” Vincent answered with a smirk. “I’m sure the two of you will have no complaints either.”

Penny laughed softly as he watched his best friend’s charismatic performance. He then gave the two ladies in his arms a kiss on the cheek before whispering something in their ears.

The two ladies giggled at the same time because they liked gutsy men. For some reason, they could instinctively feel that Vincent and Penny knew the hidden rules of their game, making them very excited.

From the corner of his eye, Thirteen observed the scene with amusement.

The contrast between Vincent and Penny’s practiced confidence and Roland’s awkward hesitation was almost too perfect.

Suddenly, Princess Laventia approached Roland, doing her best to sound confident, but the blush on her face had betrayed her.

She might be a succubus, but she had yet to experience the touch of a man. This was her first time, and she wanted it to be special.

“Don’t worry, Sir Roland,” Princess Laventia said softly. “Tonight is about trust and solidifying our alliance. But I promise, it will be an experience you won’t forget.”

Roland swallowed hard, his cheeks flushing deeper. “Y-Yes, Princess Laventia. I’ll do my best.”

Princess Xynalia, who was seated beside Thirteen, watched as her sister and the Hero chatted with each other, breaking the ice that made both of them feel awkward.

“What do you think?” Princess Xynalis whispered to Zion. “Will my sister have a memorable experience?”

“Why are you asking me?” Thirteen blinked in confusion.

“Because you’re Roland’s friend, right?” Princess Xynalia inquired.

“Uh… not really,” Thirteen replied. “At most, we’re just acquaintances.”

“Oh?” Princess Xynalia. “Then, is my sister going to be fine?”

“Roland has no experience when it comes to relationships,” Thirteen stated. “I’m afraid that your sister must take the lead to pluck his cherry.”

A giggle escaped Princess Xynalia’s lips because she found the teenage boy’s use of words quite amusing.

“You’re surprisingly blunt for someone your age,” Princess Xynalia said in a teasing tone.

“I’ve been through enough to stop pretending otherwise.” Thirteen shrugged. “Besides, I’m no love expert.”

“Aren’t you engaged to two beautiful ladies?” Princess Xynalia smirked. “Don’t tell me you’re not getting enough action from them? Do you need my help? I can fix that.”

“I’m well-loved by my partners, Princess,” Thirteen replied. “Actually, I even think they’re too good for someone like me.”

“Are you being humble, or are you just lowering your value?”

“Neither. I’m just stating facts.”

Prince Xynalia couldn’t help but be intrigued. No matter how she looked at it, the teenage boy beside her wasn’t acting his age.

He sounded experienced, innocent, and ignorant at the same time when it came to relationships, and she was finding it hard to decide whether Zion was telling her the truth or just playing mind games with her.

“But I will tell you this, Roland is a good person,” Thirteen said. “He will not treat your sister badly.”

“I’m not worried,” Princess Xynalia smiled faintly as she rested her chin on the palm of her hand while looking fondly at her sister. “My sister might look gentle, but she doesn’t hesitate once she’s made up her mind. If she wants him… she’ll make sure Roland remembers tonight for the rest of his life.”

“Who knows?” Thirteen crossed his arms over his chest. “Maybe they will surprise us.”

Princess Xynalia nodded, her gaze softening slightly. Even a succubus wished to be embraced, not just by hands, but with trust, and perhaps someday, by love as well.

Although Roland felt no love for her, as long as there was respect, Princess Laventia was fine with that.

Thirteen couldn’t help but chuckle when he saw Roland’s face turning a shade redder after Princess Laventia whispered something in his ear.

“Well, if Roland survives tonight, then I believe he will really become a real man,” Thirteen said.

“Literally speaking?” Princess Xynalia asked, her voice laced with amusement.

She already knew what the teenage boy meant, but she wanted to hear him say it.

“Yes,” Thirteen replied softly. “If your sister becomes serious, Roland will not be walking out of the bedroom unchanged.”

While everyone in the room was doing their best to make each other feel comfortable, Thirteen and Princess Xynalia acted like adults watching over children who were starting to take their first steps into the world.
