System's POV

Chapter 1092 - 1092: Let The Heavens Hear My Roar [Part 1]

Lucan panted for breath as he gazed at Zia’s imposing figure.

“It’s the same,” Lucan muttered. “She’s just like her!”

If not for the fact that he knew their Queen only had one daughter, he would have thought that Zia was the Chandrean Princess’ daughter.

He didn’t care if she was a succubus. All he knew was that she possessed the power that he and his King wished to possess as their own.

Even Prince Aurelion was mesmerized by Zia’s might.

So strong that the Dragonkin Prince couldn’t appraise how strong she was, making him love her even more.

Azoh’Karn incessantly roared, unable to accept what was happening. But no matter how much he roared and struggled, the chains firmly bound him.

It fought against someone weaker, yet the other party successfully tied it down to the point of helplessness.

“Commander!” Azoh’Karn roared, which snapped Lucan out of his daze.

The Artemian Commander used his life-saving artifact, not on himself but the Golden Azothrall, teleporting it away by force.

The chains of heaven fell on the ground, having lost hold of its target.

A frown appeared on Zia’s face, once again realizing that she had yet to fully master control over the Chains of Heaven.

This was the first time she had used it in battle, so she was still not aware of its limitations.

“I see,” Zia muttered. “I need to find a way to ensure my target cannot teleport away once they are bound. It’s a good thing I learned of this loophole quite early.”

Actually, the Chains of Heaven had this feature.

But even now that she knew, it would still take her a while to understand how to activate this ability while her target was bound by the chains.

She then shifted her attention to Lucan, who was looking at her with a solemn gaze.

“Princess, I will take my leave today,” Lucan stated. “But I’m not going to give up on you. You will be mine!”

Lucan then activated his artifact, teleporting him away from the battlefield.

Now that he was finally alone with Zia, Prince Aurelion wanted to ask her how she had been.

However, the young lady ignored him and instead glanced to the east.

A moment later, golden metallic wings sprouted from behind Zia’s back, and a red halo appeared on top of her head.

“You’re not going to escape,” Zia muttered. “I will not let you escape.”

The young lady then turned into a beam of light as she shot toward the east.

She had no intention of letting Lucan escape, for he was a threat that must be eliminated at all cost.

Prince Aurelion, who was left behind, didn’t hesitate to follow the princess.

No matter what, he would never allow her to leave his sight ever again. He had missed her the past few days, and he feared he’d go crazy if he lost her once more.

After finding himself a hundred miles away from where he originally stood, Lucan checked the artifact in his hand.

Truth be told, he planned to follow Zia secretly and wait for an opportunity to catch her, just like what he had done when he escaped from the Valkyries.

But when he looked at the artifact, his eyes widened. How could it be? Why was the blinking dot on the same spot as his?

Suddenly, the sixth sense he honed through countless battles kicked in, prompting him to jump to his right side and roll on the ground.

A moment later, three golden chains slammed on the spot where he originally stood, sending rock and dirt flying in every direction.

“Princess, do not force me!” Lucan shouted. “Do you want to suffer mutual destruction?!”

“It will not be mutual destruction,” Zia replied. “It will only be YOUR destruction.”

Lucan gritted his teeth. The tone of the succubus princess told him just how serious she was with her words.

They were now at a point of no return.

He wanted her power, and she wanted him dead.

Reconciliation was no longer possible, and there was only one way to settle this matter.

‘I must overpower her and bring her back with me even if I have to pay a price!’ Lucan had finally made up his mind to do something, which he only planned to do as a last resort.

He took out a golden pill from his storage ring and tossed it inside of his mouth.

Zia recognized the pill—it was the same one Metatron had given her in the past.

It was none other than the Titan Pill.

A pill that doubled its user’s strength, making them twice as powerful. However, this pill would only work for Champions and below.

Of course, that didn’t mean that Monarchs and those with higher ranks couldn’t consume it.

They could consume it, but its effects would be different.

It would only raise their stats to the next Rank for a limited period of time.

If a Majin Prince were to eat it, they would become a Majin King for half an hour, and so on.

But it came with a heavy price—once the pill’s buff reached its end, the Rank of its user would drop by one stage.

So, if a Majin Prince were to consume it, their rank would drop to a Rank 9 Sovereign after.

For this reason, those with power would only consume it as a last resort.

Lucan only took this gamble because he believed that once he secured Zia, it was only a matter of time before he regained his lost rank.

The clear sky was soon covered with storm clouds.

Red lighting streaked across the sky, and thunder boomed like the roars of countless lions combined.

A moment later, those red lightning descended upon Lucan, as if trying to eliminate the creature who shouldn’t be anywhere in Pangea.

A creature that had surpassed the Rank limit of the world, making it break the balance that was on the brink of collapse.

“You forced me, Princess!”

A loud booming voice that sounded like it had come from depths of hell spread in the surroundings.

The Artemians had angelic wings, but the creature in front of Zia had three pairs of bat-like wings, all of which were darker than black.

Two horns protruded on Lucan’s head as his eyes glowed crimson.

He had temporarily become a Majin King after absorbing the power of the red lightning that had tried to eliminate him, making them a part of his power.

“Hahaha!” Lucan laughed loudly. “So this is the power of my King! I feel like I can do anything!”

The Artemian Commander, who now looked like a demonic being, laughed loudly, creating shock waves that spread outward, changing the topography of the land around him.

Prince Aurelion, who was only a few dozen miles away from where Lucan and Zia, suddenly stopped his flight and hastily backed away.

He didn’t know what was happening, but his instinct told him that if he were to go closer, he would die without a doubt.

It was only after a few minutes did he truly understand what was happening.

“Impossible!” Prince Aurelion gasped in shock. “A Majin King has appeared in this world?!”

A creature who shouldn’t appear was right before his eyes, making the Dragonkin Prince reluctantly back away for his own safety.

The presence he felt was so malevolent, he was certain this power didn’t come from the succubus princess, who was in the direction where it was coming from.

The only thing he could do was wait it out until the threat had subsided.

But until then, he would not dare to move any closer to that location. Even though he was in love with Zia, he loved his own life more.

This self preservation mechanism had saved him from certain death from his rival, who was now gazing at the young lady hovering in the sky like she was a delicious dish that was served to him on a silver platter.
