A few minutes of silence passed before Arthur spoke once more.
“I don’t know if they can be trusted,” Arthur answered honestly. “But if we don’t start somewhere, nothing will change.”
Arthur then glanced at everyone gathered in the room and spoke his inner thoughts.
“Let’s face it, even if we all pooled our manpower and resources, this war with the Jinns and the Artemians will not end well for us,” Arthur stated. “You all know it—compared to the Jinns in the Cygni Continent, the ones in the Rigel Continent are weaker.
“Our only opponents are the Death Lord Erasmus and the three Rank 9 Earth Dragons. If we can defeat them, the Rigel Continent will be liberated.”
Of course, Arthur didn’t say that the Death Lord, Erasmus, was also one of Zion’s strongest allies.
If not for him, the Leventis Family might have been wiped out from the face of the Aldberan Continent.
Last but not least, the relationship between the Wanderers and the Earth Dragons had warmed up a bit.
Of course, they only dealt with the Leventis Family because of Zion, and the Leventis Family, in turn, gave them everything they wanted in exchange for mining rights in the Rigel Continent.
From beauty products to food to any other forms of entertainment, Arthur and Michael provided them all free of charge.
In fact, due to Zion’s influence, the Earth Dragon had also started calling Arthur “Old Man” or “Gramps,” which gave Arthur a headache in the past.
After having spoken this far, everyone in the meeting room was reminded that compared to the Rigel Continent, the enemies in the Cygni Continent were many times stronger.
There were Majin Princes, Archons, dozens of Rank 9 Sovereigns, and hundreds of Rank 8 Sovereigns.
It was a land of death, and they were planning to fight on this battlefield.
“… How about we all go to the Rigel Continent and deal with the Jinns there first?” Wendell proposed with a smile.
The Monarchs and the Thrones wanted to roll their eyes on the selfish bastard, who had realized that this might be a good time to liberate his own territory with all of humanity working together.
“Let’s face it,” said Renz Elrod, who was the main strategist of the Alliance while Zion was away. “Right now, we are only able to hold our ground because Zion is here. Subconsciously, we know that we can’t win without him. Of course, we can deal with the Jinns with our current plans.
“Here in this naval base, we can attack and retreat as we please. We have also received some weapon blueprints from Zion like the Majin Cannons and the Mephisto Missiles, which have proven themselves in battle.
“Although they are expensive to make, we can just do precision strikes, targeting the important structures and personnel of the Jinns until they are weakened considerably. We don’t really need to ally ourselves with Prince Aurelion, who only plans to use us to deal with the Artemians.”
They then shared other methods on how to use their current situation to their advantage.
The more they discussed, the more they realized that they were now truly in a better position compared to their past selves.
Although they had lost Aaron Ashford and Norman Stallard, two new Monarchs took their place.
Arthur Leventis and Callista Leventis.
Not to mention, they also had two new thrones, Michael and Hanz.
Currently, the Leventis Family was the strongest family in the continent. The Monarchs and the other Thrones even referred to them as a Sovereign Clan in private.
Aaron and Norman only fought for their interest, not caring about humanity as a whole.
But the Leventis Family was different since they moved as soon as Zion gave an order—and Zion certainly cared more about humanity than those two ex-Monarchs.
Not to mention, the blueprints Zion shared with them were truly more advanced than the current weapons they possessed.
With these new additions to the arsenal of the Wanderers, they were starting to feel more confident about themselves.
Last but not least, they had recently become aware of Zion’s two trump cards.
Athena and Nautilus.
It was impossible to not be awed by these two Super Weapons that could strike the Jinns all the way from space and far out from the sea.
When the Monarchs and Thrones asked Arthur about them, the old man only said that it was Zion’s tightly guarded secret.
“Then what about those state of the art submarines?” Douglas inquired. “You call them Nemos, right? I think it’s unfair that only the Leventis Family and the Central Government have them.”
Since this was a war of humanity, the Nemos had also made their appearance in the battlefield, shocking the Monarchs and Thrones.
“Well, you should ask Zion for that,” Arthur replied with a smile. “As you know, my grandson is full of surprises. He really inherited my good genes.”
The corner of everyone’s lips twitched because the old man was being shameless.
But it was a fact that the blood of the Leventis Family was flowing in Zion’s blood… which was true until he gave it all to his little sister, Rhia, who was now living happily with their family.
A few more back and forth were done, and after the Wanderers finalized their plans of action, they decided to contact Prince Aurelion to give them their answer.
All of them were adults, so they felt a little awkward in letting Zion handle everything.
As such, they decided that they would not rely too much on the teenage boy, which wasn’t even in his late teens.
This development was something that everyone agreed on.
They would fight together, and do their best to show the world that Humanity still had something to depend on.
A few minutes later…
“So, have you decided to agree to my proposal?” Prince Aurelion asked arrogantly as he looked at the projection where all the decision makers of the Wanderers were present, with the exception of Zion Leventis.
The Dragonkin Prince frowned after failing to see the person he’d been waiting to meet for a long time, but he decided that it wouldn’t be too late to meet Zion after the Wanderers and he had become allies.
“We have all agreed that we will not help His Highness retrieve Princess Zia and fight against the Bat-like Majin Prince you have met,” Lawrence replied. “We will only fight alongside the Jinns if they are going to deal with the Artemians. Otherwise, we will remain at the sidelines.”
“Hah! You dare to not agree to this Princes’ proposal?” Prince Aurelion scoffed. “Are you sure you are making the right decision? I guess I should ally myself with the Artemians instead.”
Prince Aurelion thought that this subtle threat would make the Wanderers change their mind, but he was bound to be disappointed.
“Go ahead,” Lawrence replied. “Ally with the Artemians if you must. We will not allow ourselves to be used as tools for your convenience. If you want to fight, then let’s fight. We will show you that you cannot look down upon humanity.”
Lawrence’s fierce and confident stance reflected the stance of all the High-Ranking Wanderers.
“All of you will regret this,” Prince Aurelion growled.
“No, we won’t,” Arthur replied. “You are the one who will regret this.”
After making their statement, the Wanderers bid the Dragonkin Prince a good day and cut off the connection.
A moment later, a roar filled with anger spread inside the residence of the Dragonkin Prince.
Ever since he had arrived at the Cygni Continent, he was met with setback after setback.
He was even unable to retrieve the girl whom he planned to make as his wife.
Because of this, Prince Aurelion’s confidence had taken a hit, and now, he had to make a hard choice.
Either he used his own forces to find Princess Zia or lower his pride and once again reach out to the Wanderers to form an alliance.
This time, with no conditions attached.
High above the Celestial Realm, Laplace Demon couldn’t help but smile faintly.
“Finally, humanity has developed a backbone,” Laplace Demon said. “Isn’t that right, Your Excellency?”
The One didn’t reply. However, the light that surrounded its body shone a little brighter.
It was the God of Wanderers, and the more powerful their belief, the more powerful it would become.
