Terra Nova Online: Rise of The Strongest Player
Chapter 809: Dumpy's GrowthChapter 809: Dumpy’s Growth
(Dumpy’s POV, Terra Nova Online)
In the five months that Leo had been absent from the game world, Dumpy had undergone a radical transformation, pushing himself to evolve beyond his previous limits.
His looks, that were once marked with a childish roundness, or excess baby fat, were completely gone now.
Discarded in full, just like his cute and clumsy attitude, that was now replaced with a measured calm of an adult.
Now, Dumpy looked powerful—his limbs thick with solid muscle as his once soft exterior was now replaced with a firm, battle-hardened texture.
Over the last five months, his head crest had grown more pronounced, giving him a regal and imposing appearance, while his paws had sharpened to the point where they behaved akin to claws, capable of carving through solid rock with ease.
No longer a young frog—he had become a behemoth, a true apex predator of the battlefield.
As now, at his peak size, he stood larger than an adult dragon, towering at 85 feet in height and spreading 50 feet in width.
His sheer mass alone was enough to intimidate, and when he moved, the ground trembled beneath him like rolling thunder. But his growth was not limited to size or physique—for his very biology had evolved into something far more deadly.
His spit, once merely corrosive, had now transformed into a devastating weapon.
A single drop of his saliva could set entire trees ablaze upon contact.
While a glob of it could melt through boulders within seconds, reducing them to nothing but bubbling molten rock.
Infact, the venom in his body had grown so potent that even the air around his expelled spit carried a toxic presence, capable of making lesser creatures collapse instantly, their nerves shutting down in violent spasms.
But perhaps the most terrifying change was his skin.
Dumpy had always carried a natural poison in his skin, that he could secrete at will, but now, that poison had grown so strong, that whenever Dumpy let it out, it unintentionally started to disrupt entire ecosystems.
For starters, if he chose to bathe in a small stream, the entire river downstream would turn into a poisonous wasteland, killing thousands of fish and plant life within minutes, as even the most resilient of creatures—those with natural resistance to toxins—were sure to find themselves weakened, their bodies slowly shutting down from prolonged exposure.
Yet, for all his newfound deadliness, Dumpy was not just a mindless brute and over the past few months, his speed, combat ability, and battle instincts had also grown sharper.
For months, he had trained against his Lord Grandfather, Ben Faulkner, and after surpassing the old warrior in raw power and speed, the two had shifted from simple sparring to advanced combat scenarios, to provide Dumpy with a new challenge everyday.
These were no longer fights where the strongest won outright—they were tests of strategy, adaptability, and survival.
Everyday, Ben forced Dumpy into disadvantageous conditions, where brute force alone would not be enough to triumph.
And it was these battles that had shaped Dumpy into a refined warrior, rather than just a destructive force.
Yet, for all his progress, he was still one step away from taking that final leap to becoming a Grandmaster, as although the final battle against Drogo drew closer, he still found himself eluded from that final step that would make him a warrior of equal standing to the black dragon.

(Leo’s POV, Terra Nova Online)
After months away, as Leo finally laid eyes on Dumpy training with Ben, he almost couldn’t believe just how much his pet had grown.
The once pudgy, excitable frog that had clumsily followed him around was gone, and was replaced by a towering, battle-hardened behemoth, moving with terrifying precision and purpose.
The air shimmered with heat as Dumpy’s latest attack left a section of the training ground melted beyond recognition, his venom turning stone into nothing but molten slag.
Even Ben Faulkner, the ever-composed master assassin, took their spar seriously, his blade flashing through the air as he parried Dumpy’s powerful blows.
The frog had become a true monster—one worthy of legend.
Yet, the moment Dumpy sensed his arrival, he dropped everything.
Abandoning his spar with Ben, the giant frog immediately turned toward Leo, his deep, resonant voice carrying over the battlefield.
“Greetings, Lord Father, I have been patiently waiting for your return.”
Leo’s lips curled in amusement. Despite everything, Dumpy’s devotion remained unchanged.
“Dumpy.”
“Master.”
Leo said, as both him and Ben exchanged brief nods.
Then, Leo’s gaze instinctively flickered toward Dumpy’s status bar, and the glowing numbers above his head nearly made him do a double take.
(Ancient Swamp Frog, Level 1677)
Leo blinked, exhaling softly.
Dumpy had completely surpassed him in raw strength.
And yet, despite his staggering power, there was no arrogance in his posture, no overinflated ego from his newfound status.
Instead, Dumpy lowered his massive head, pressing it slightly into the dirt in a show of respect.
He had not forgotten who he belonged to and that fact alone brought a pleased smirk to Leo’s face.
“You’ve grown strong, Dumpy,” he admitted, glancing at the scorched battlefield they had been training on.
The land itself had warped under the sheer force of his pet’s training—entire sections of the ground melted away.
“Strong? This brat is not just strong, he’s so strong that he can accidentally end my life while training.
He’s that strong!” Ben noted, as there seemed to be genuine fear in his voice as he said these words.
“Haha, is that so?” Leo asked, as Dumpy blushed innocently.
“Lord Grandfather over praises me…. I’m still a fledgeling” Dumpy replied, as Leo felt impressed by his growing maturity.
The old Dumpy would have simply accepted the compliment, or exaggerated his strength to get more praise from Leo, however, the current him was more mature.
The current him downplayed the compliment, because with compliments came expectations, and as an adult Dumpy realized that it was better to keep expectations low and to over deliver, than to keep them high and under deliver.
