It was raining outside and she kept checking her phone, sitting on the porch, with sadness.
"Hey??? Common in!!"
Tinsley finally got up and walked inside the villa. Madi and Lana were setting up the table for an early dinner at five.
They could not do much the entire day due to heavy rain all over the island. And it also had been two days since she last heard from her husband.
It was weird because ever since they landed, he would call and text her daily. Some days even more than five times in an hour interval in between.
She had called him but it went to his voicemail and he did not even bother to check her texts.
It was making her worried what if something had happened?? It was making her restless to hear his voice at least once.
Lana noticed the dismissal look in her and assumed that Kian had not returned her calls.
"He did not answer??" She asked, leaning on the table.
Tinsley shook her head in negative. Madison finally bought the salad and they all sat down together to dine.
"It's weird how he could not stop calling you, interrupting our vacay and now altogether he just went off??? No call...not even a text!?"
Lana said, pouring food on her plate and they all passed the bread around the table.
"He must have gotten busy focused on his work."
Madi remarked. Tinsley did not respond to any of that and silently started munching on her food.
"Tin, we are going off tomorrow anyway so don't worry too much and enjoy the food!"
Lana commented. Tinsley nodded and the rest of the evening was spent in silence, watching the storm take over the island.

Kian furiously walked back inside their house and stormed straight to their bedroom.
He looked around trying to figure out where she must have hidden it from him for so long.
He started going through all the drawers, messing the bedsheet up, looking under the bed, checking the cabinets in the bathroom and then throwing away all the clothes out of the closet.
It was after that he found a small tied up white handkerchief. He opened it and saw the can of the pill, the same one the receptionist gave to him.
It was empty meaning she had been taking it regularly and even went to buy another and that was when Nathan saw her.
Not just that, he saw that there were bundles of cash inside the handkerchief too.
It only made him wonder what else she had been doing to earn money like that and hide it all from him.
He felt so defeated and vulnerable at that time. It was as if there was a rush of emotions in him in a full booming force.
He sat down on the floor, in a curled up position. All these times...all these times when he had a fear in him that he could be infertile...it was eating him up.
But despite all of that he kept a straight face and went on. And now that the truth was out, he did not know if he should be happy or upset about it.
Never in his damn life...he thought that she could go on lying to him like that!!
Never!!! Ever!!
He knew that everything was a mess, they got married because of her safety. Hell!! He did not even think twice before tying up his life with her.
And here she was faking it all along...faking to be the perfect wife he thought she was.
Was she not happy with what they had??
She told him so many times that she was though. She swore to him that she was. She did not need anything else but to be with him.
Suddenly, Nathan's words rang in his mind. How she would get over her infatuation soon enough and think of leaving him?
It was then it all made sense. Everything made sense. Why she would not settle down...settle down with him.
Because he had nothing to offer her. He had nothing to offer her but poverty and a life ahead with poverty.
Bringing a child would make her fate sealed with him completely so she was avoiding it altogether to get pregnant with his child.
The truth was bitter but it was the truth in the end. For the first time, after everything, when he finally decided to give in...emerge himself completely in this relationship and try...it had to be the end.
He should not have...never have done it. Women...not all but the ones who were born with everything, you could not trust them to be satisfied with life if they can't have it all.
Perhaps his aunt was right about one thing. He thought. The one thing that this would not last.
And it did not either. He stood up and collected his car keys, got down the stairs, out of the house and into the car, driving to Agatha's cafe.
The bell rang as he pushed open the door and the old woman smiled at him from the counter. He walked up to her.
"Kian, son!! How have you been?"
Agatha greeted, cheerfully. Kian checked the counter that showcased the cupcakes and it was confirmed that even after his disapproval, Tinsley continued to work for the cafe.
"I have...been fine! Thanks, Agatha!"
He replied in a monotone and decided to get out of here. But the old woman stopped her.
"Ahh!! Why the hurry?? At least taste one of your wife's cupcakes. She makes them so delicious that people like them so much. They keep coming for more!"
Agatha offered but Kian declined, saying that he had an emergency. He strode out of the cafe and got inside his Range Rover.
Out of nowhere, he started hitting on his steering wheel repeatedly. It was as if he was possessed. His eyes screamed furry and his knuckles turned red from constantly hitting the hard wheel.
In the end, a scream of dejection, being deceived, spurted out of his throat.

Madison stuffed the trunk with their bags. Tinsley carried hers and Lana helped her getting inside the trunk.
"So we are all set??"
Madison asked, closing the trunk. Lana nodded. Tin kept checking her phone, absentmindedly.
"Let's go then before the storm revives back!"
Madi said and they all got in the side of the car, driving away to the private remote airport.
Throughout the journey, Lana and Madi chatted nonstop about what they did and could have done if not for the storm coming in their way.
It was a fifteen minutes drive to the airport and Tinsley sat restlessly throughout the entire journey hoping, praying that everything was safe back at home.
When they had reached the airport, the Karvinshky private jet was in a halt for them. The guards came forward to collect their luggage.
Within a few minutes, the plane was started and it took off for Richmond as fast it could due to the approaching thunderstorm.
Tinsley with a morose face watched out the window. Something inside of her was telling her, screaming at her that everything was not alright...everything was going to change.

Meanwhile, everything was already a mess.
Clothes littered everywhere, photos turned upside down, glass vases broken into pieces...
Kian smoked the cigarette and walked inside the bedroom. He collected all her clothes and for a second, he felt like burning everything to shades.
But did not. He did not have the kind of money to buy her all back so he stuffed them inside the duffle bag and threw off the rest in the dustbin.
He did not need anyone. Not when they did not want to be with him. He was doing just fine when Serena left too and he would be doing alright even after this.
Everything was set, the fire had burnt the house. The ashes were collected and been waited for the owner to pick her belongings.

The plane landed in the private airport. A separate Mercedes waited for Tinsley to get her back home.
Lana and Madi bid her farewell. Hugs and kisses were exchanged. Tinsley waved at them as she got inside the car and the driver started the engine.
He waited patiently for her, leaning on the balcony, smoking out, watching her arrival.
She impatiently stared outside of the window as the car passed by the trees, shops, cars on its way.
His phone vibrated for the nth time kept on the kitchen counter. His mind was too occupied, to hear the ringing sound.
She dejectedly kept her phone down as it went to the voicemail for the nth time again.
As the journey neared, her heart started beating furiously against her chest nonstop. Her hands started to shake as she saw the turn to the town.
He saw the far end black Mercedes making its way in the driveway. He walked inside.
She stepped out of the car and made her way inside, before she could knock, the door hung opened, and their eyes interlocked.
