"Who do I have to turn up to if you not you??? Please!!!"
It was all she was asking yet he seemed adamant on his decision and as the seconds were passing by, she knew that she had screwed up real bad this time.
"You have many admirers, Tinsley Rutherford! You will have places to turn up to."
It was what he said and then pulled her off of his body. Holding her arms, he dragged her towards the door.
Everything happened so fast, that she could not even get the time to protest and stop him.
Within seconds, despite her begging him to not do this, she was thrown out of their house with her bags and belongings.
And how cruelly, he shut the door on her face as if he did not feel anything for her....not at all.
She remained static on her position, before the shut door, eyeing it with as if time had gone frozen for her.
She could not believe...could not get it that he had shut her out of their house. To put it more precisely, he had shut her out of his life just like that...branding her as a distraction!
She did not know what she stayed in the same position for more than an hour...maybe there was a voice within her that kept telling her, instilling her with the hope that he would open...anytime now.
But it never happened and when it was finally evening, she stood up from sitting on the doormat, rubbing her tears off.
Her neighbours had gone and disappeared inside their apartments, eyeing her with pity.
They did not need to hear the story from her side. They saw enough to know what had happened.
She turned around to knock maybe and see what would happen??
But she had been doing that for an hour now and no answer came back from the other side of the door.
She closed her eyes, sighing and then collected her bags and moved down. She had come back to the time when she had no home.
That feeling of having no shelter, it revived back into her. She walked out of the building with the down shoulder.
Not many people were on the street as it was already evening. The townspeople did not wait up long after the sunsets.
With slow steps, she kept moving forward. There was a part of her screaming for her to turn around and get back at him.
But then there was another part, asking her to give him some time, make him calm and then he would understand and forgive her.
He calmed her heart down saying he just needed some time...time to think and relax. He was hurt badly by her actions and it was normal for people to react that way.
Saying that she consoles herself. On reaching the cafe, she finally pulled her phone out to call Madison.
She had no other place to crash. She could not think of another place where she could seek shelter and it was what it was.
She was a helpless, pathetic woman. She had come to accept that fact now. Her father was perhaps right about that one thing.
She could not live all to herself. She needed someone and that someone was her husband then how could she not need him??
She was a crying mess. Her tears had soaked her face making it puffy and red. She did not care about how she looked and when Madison did pick up the phone.
She could not speak out two words clearly before breaking out to her. And it did not take Madison, two seconds to know that something was wrong.
She asked Tinsley to hold on and that she was going to be right there. Tinsley waited patiently outside, waiting for Madison to arrive.
And in half an hour time, the black Audi parked before her. Madison got out and walked up to her.
Tinsley ran up to her and threw herself in Madi's arms. Madi held her back steady, rubbing her back as she cried her heart out.
Later on, inside the car, Madi offered her water and some fries to make her calm before taking her to her house or else Anna Maria would come to know that something was not right and that old woman had faced too many hardships in her life.
Tinsley narrated the entire scene to Madi and it angered her so much. She could not get in it herself to who kicks their wife out just because of such a petty thing?
It was disturbing. It was saddening to watch Tinsley accept it all as to be her fault. That it was her actions that had led him to do this.
Madi could see that it was bad. No matter how much she tried to make Tinsley believe that she did nothing wrong, Tinsley was certain that she did.
Her confident self had bid her farewell long ago. Her life seemed dark and void at the moment.
Kian was all she had. Her entire life revolved around him. There was no life without him in it.
But Madi being a staunch feminist, she could see that Kian's stern actions had made an effect on the way Tinsley understood.
A man like Kian...they knew how to get back in control and make others subdue to their command right away when someone would try to deflect from it.
It was clear to Madison but it was not to Tinsley. She kept crying her eyes out and regretting every moment of standing to herself which she never did.
Inside the car, Madison tried to console her back to normalcy. And said that he would come running back to her in no time.
But Tinsley was convinced that this time not...this time something had changed. His eyes...they were too calm when he led her out.
This time he did not believe her. She had broken his trust. He saw her as a fucking lier!
