The dragon's harem

Chapter 1412 - 1412: War Is Dead, It's Time For Peace

Flying through the lightless night sky, a massive black dragon faded into the stars as it glided above the dark clouds. None of the people living on the ground were the wiser, and he had flown unnoticed for hours, holding a tiny black carriage in his claws.

A day had passed since Arad left the half-fallen-angels Kingdom, and he was now heading toward the Elvish Great Kingdom. Having slayed a god, news spread far and wide in mere hours thanks to magic. It hasn’t gone public yet, but most of the world’s leaders now have a new rumor to deal with.

The Great Emperor Arad Orion and his Brother, the Lord of the North, Gojo Orion. They’ve worked together and fought a god of war, and slayed him. People were already terrified of Arad, knowing that he blew Vlad into ash, but now that he had slayed a god, his legend had turned even more horrifying to mortals of the world.

The mere fact of knowing that there is a god-slaying emperor out there was enough to make people realise the scale of the world. Now, there are two, Arad and Gojo, for the world to deal with.

From what Arad knew and was told, Cerilla and Jasmine were quite close, best friends even. But there was a problem: the dark elves and high elves were at war with each other for thousands of years, long before Cerilla and Jasmine took the thrones.

The war had lasted far too long, and the people of each Kingdom hated the other’s guts. Of course, the news of both Cerilla and Jasmine marrying Arad didn’t sit well with the people, let alone being merged with his great empire.

Both of the queens faced huge backlash, not for marrying Arad, but for allowing the other to marry as well. The high elves demanded that Cerilla find a way to kick Jasmine out, and the dark elves want the same thing, for Jasmine to kick Cerilla out.

In the past days, the two were dealing with a lot of pressure from their respective courts and nobles. It got to the point that Cerilla almost ordered a cleansing of the upper nobles. But now that Arad slayed a god, a god of war nonetheless. Those courts and nobles have gone silent; in fact, some even started to calm the people and convince them that they can’t meddle with Cerilla and Jasmine marrying Arad.

Cerilla couldn’t stop giggling at the face of one of the nobles when he called her through a crystal, inquiring about the news of Arad killing a god. His face paled and his ears withered when she pointed to Arad, who was beside her, and he told him that Alexander is indeed dead, killed by him and his brother Gojo.

The last thing anyone in the world wants is to try to snatch a god-slayer’s wife from him.

They have realised that trying to force either Cerilla or Jasmine to leave might end up with Arad burning the aggressor down. At first, when it was known for killing Vlad, it wasn’t that bad.

Especially the high elves, they could think of a few high magic spells that would help them block Arad’s kingdom-erasing blast and fight him on equal terms. Some had even started developing binding spells to knock him out of the sky or seal his power.

The dark elves were coastal people, and their main power concentrated on their massive warships and seafaring destroyer heroes. Arad’s main empire was taking hold of Ruris’s territory. Sadly, the capital wasn’t a coastal city, but it was fine for the dark elves. Their ships can also fly and shoot from hundreds of kilometers away.

They all held the faint hope of being able to face Arad, to be able to challenge him, to hold even a little bit of military power, and be able to pressure him somehow.

But the moment he slayed a god, all of that hope had shattered. Not even praying to the gods would save them. And they didn’t even know about Kali being around yet.

And that was it for the Great Elvish war; the Dark Elves and the High Elves had agreed to end it without a winner. Peace was declared, and they didn’t have anything to negotiate with each other, as none of them had the power to resist anymore.

Arad had appeared out of nowhere and claimed their queens as his wives, forcing both sides to abandon the war in fear of his retaliation.

What the nobles didn’t know was that all of this was a plan from under Cerilla and Jasmine’s heads. The two queens knew that to stop the war, they had to use a force that neither side could win against to force peace. That force was Arad.

He says peace, and they must nod their heads and agree. They can start a war if they want, but he has already killed the god of war, so their war is meaningless now.

The existence of Arad and Gojo as two massive superpowers in the world had started a ripple effect across the whole world, and not just the elvish Kingdom. All wars started to halt and fade away as each Kingdom focused on what they needed to do and get on the superpowers’ good side.

Arad and Gojo killed the god of war, and strangely enough, or just as expected, the wars all over the world started fading away.

Even the Union that was trying to invade and start a war with the beast lands had suddenly decided to stop and leave once they knew that two of Hati’s daughters were marrying Arad. Arad already blasted their army once, and now, they won’t invite him to burn their kingdoms to ash.

At this moment, Arad was flying to the Dark Elf kingdom so Jasmine could bring a few of her things that she needed before they could head to the world tree.

In the past days, Arad had been busy trying to help Isdis in her work while his other incarnations were out killing a god. Even Cerilla and Jasmine were quite busy, so they didn’t have much time to spend together.

But now, with the trip, Arad was locked in the carriage with Cerilla, Jasmine, and Dalla.
